  1. Hmm... It also goes on what the dealer tells the manufacturer... 400rwkw FG comes in for a blown diff, dealer tells ford its stock. Nobody knows any better... Goes on where you buy your car from too. If you spend all the local salesmans time and sh*t, then buy out of town for $500 don't expect any favours when it comes to warranty.
  2. Zane @ prodyno in cq. Havent been to track, not making excuses but there is no point going with the way my rear end is set up.. Rolling runs is all good... I like to go sideways Have pulled away from 11sec autos, launching is a different story haha. Anyway, back to the topic. Some tuners spend time chasing one power figure, others will spend more time on the safety and drivability of the tune. I suggest you go to the latter. I'm lucky I don't pay for my tunes, but just choose carefully.
  3. Haha, I love these threads. Change your box first. Rods is up to how your tuner tunes and how good he is... I'm at 360rwkw on multiple dyno's with BA rods. AND std oil pump gears. Constantly bash limiter... Heh.

You got ripped on the sale of the sedan :(
  5. You are going a bit overboard if you only want 310rwkw... But hey at least it 'should' be very reliable. I've been running 360rwkw for 20,000km now. Motor has 91,000km on it. Thrashed constantly.
  6. Damn some people are unlucky!

Had a bloke call me the other day. Done a search for him, not one new turbo territory left :(
  10. You'll be fine. Mine has had 350 - 360rwkw for the last 20,000km. And it was running 300rwkw since new till 60,000. I've raped it every day of its life, service every 5000km and now I do the turbo oil filter every 4th service. Hasn't missed a beat. Just done 1700km on the weekend with heaps of spirited overtaking. Enjoy your power when you get it

Just wait, it'll be stuck in brisbane for a few days because there won't be enough 'stamps' on the parcel. Or you'll get the box with the cooler and not the parts. They'll come 2 days later. Make sure you get a tracking number off him. Then just talk straight to the freight company. Once it leaves brisbane it usually comes on Gladrock. They are crap for not letting you know if they've tried to drop it off and you ain't been home. If you get all the parts (we had to make our own cooler brackets) its faily easy to fit, the hot piping is an absolute bitch though. But I'd have to say the overall quality is good, as is the performance. Mine makes 470 - 480 hp pull after pull..

sh*t aye, definately not asking too much. I've got 28 on mine and had a few enquiries...
  13. And this is why we still order full size spares for most of the falcons we get built. Because people are stuck in the 80's... The one question that usually upsets them is "When did you last get a flat tyre over 100km from a tyre shop?" Heh. All the fiestas don't have a spare wheel anymore, they've gone to a compressor and some gu that clogs up the hole.
  14. I pay $880 a year with my ute through shannons with all the mods. Had my 2 chevs through them before. Claimed a paint job, a writeoff and an accident previously. On a 1 point good behaviour licence also. And I'm 22..
  15. Yeh, seems not many dealers are willing to drop the price.. I will. And already have. Meh, I'd rather happy customers than ones that walk away and buy holdens. Still haven't sold our Build No. 1 GS Ute. Black with leather, 6sp Auto.
  16. Sold our first GS the day it came in. Sunburst auto sedan. These are damn popular! Another GS just got off a truck, edge manual sedan. Looks awesome!
  17. KPM already have 333rwkw out of their GS with a tune only. No exhaust, no filter, blah blah blah. Ran up 270 stock.
  18. There's a manual F6 in rocky that makes more power the older it gets. Stock standard, up to 305rwkw now. Freshly updated dyno dynamics.
  19. Haha no bite here. Wrong wording.
  20. Can't believe some dealers let customers go for test drives without a salesman....
  21. Wait, I should have used the words Dynamic Stability Control. Haha. So yeah, traction control/stability control.
  22. I'm just used to copius amounts of oversteer.... Heh. The above is from my point of view though. Coming out of a turbo ute.. Felt as if the traction control wasn't letting the tail end 'drift' out. By understeer, I mean the smallest amount. Turn in is still very good!
  23. Just got back from a drive in a GS Auto Sedan.. Motor feels like its not even trying, being held back almost. Noise from the pipes is pretty bloody good for a factory car too! Barks and carries on when you manual shift the ZF. Supercharger wine isn't there on idle but you can definately tell its there above 4500rpm. Car also feels sharper to turn in, hit a few corners on our test drive route with a bit more speed than I usually do and it seemed to handle it quite well. Smallest bit of understeer, probably cause I still had traction control on. (Boss in the car.. :( ) Standing start was impressive, broke traction a little then hooked up and took off. Auto shifts great, after about 50km it felt as if it was learning to shift harder and hold gears longer.. Adaptive ftw! For something that comes in under luxury car tax and you rich coal miners don't have to throw in a personal contribution, it certainly has the goods and I think ford has done an awesome job with the new motor.
  24. Holy sh*t. 60,000km in 12 months!
  25. Be a man and dump it out just before the right rear wheel.
