Hey guys, New to the whole Ford turbo thing, originally a Nissan man (I know I know) I've had the FGT AUTO for a few months now, its been awesome, but I think I'm ready for a bit more power and response. From reading the many threads on this forum, I've decided on a few mods. I want to keep it safe. My goal is around 300+rwkw, List so far: XR8 Airbox and Snorkel with Pod Injectors Rapids Replacement Intake (to get rid of the standard cone) 4" Dump Pipe 4" Hiflow cat Flash Box and Tune Ive been told that these mods will get me there easily, there's a few things I wanted to clarify with you guys. Which injectors should I get? Ive heard that Bosch and Siemens are good, apparently FG F6 ones are fine? Which dump pipe and Cat should I get? X-force dump and cat from rapid is $900, are they okay? someone told me that I could get a custom dump and cat one for around $600, is this possible? any others? I don't think ill be changing the standard exhaust, I wont even be removing any of the mufflers, I don't want to be too loud when I'm just cruising and Idling, With the bigger dump and cat it apparently sounds decent and sounds nice when giving it a bit. Is this true? Also makes the car seem standard, which is what I want. Your thoughts? Obviously I don't want to pay top dollar for parts, but reliability is a key. Would it be cheaper if me and few mates (decent experience) were to put the mods on our self? We would tow it to a tuner of course. Or would it be best to buy the parts, go to the tuner and let them do everything? How about for the FGT? Would upgrading to the XR8 box with a pod make it sound any different to the standard box n pod? xr8 box n pod + rapid's Fg Replacement Intake Pipe http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=68181 would this sound decent? would a flash tune make it sound better??

Will ford services know if we flash our FGT, even if we bring back to factory setting prior to services? Cheers guys

im on a similar boat. My question is, if I got a tune with MAYBE injectors/hiflow cat and went to the 15000km service at ford, would they know? (FGT Company car)

Where are your grammar skills? It so hard to understand what your saying. I don't think ill be driving quick enough around cops for them to hear it. A cops first reason to pull a car over, would be terrible driving or hooning. Its hard to get direct answers on here, without being called a cock or being given a lecture on something that's completely irrelevant to the thread I'll try some where or someone else. Sorry for the trouble guys. I dont really care how much 'damage'I can cause to the car, as I dont pay for the service, nor do I think I would do much damage at all, the car is standard lol I can afford my own car, 65'continental, which I will drive during my weekends of course. I get this car with ALL on road costs included, so why wouldnt I want to drive this car? I know you get a great sounding car, with the more money you spend on it, maybe you could refer back to my question next time Gay noise doesn't get people defected? Illegal mods do. Why would I get a defect cos I have a bov? lol As someone pointed out, all I wanted to do is have a bit of fun, cos I can lol, and just wanted some idea on how to make it sound a bit better than what it does standard, without too much work changing everything back before a service.

Hey guys Sorry noob question. How do I hear my standard bov (fg) without venting it or replacing the airbox ? Cant do much to it all, as I get the car through work, meaning I will have to revert everything back to standard every time I need a service lol Cheers guys
