  2. FKN relay !!! thanks to AIM-300 I now have a car that runs haha (thanks heaps Adam for wasting your day in my garage fixing my car and taking me for a squirt in your rocket that thing is nuts
  3. basically the kit comes ready to go , the relay has the ground trigger and power wire coming from it. then a fuesable link is joined to the main power and the red wire from the relay goes to the fuse then there is the power lead that runs from the relay to the pump and a short ground wire is supplied that goes from the negative on the pump to the mounting bracket for the pump.
  4. I installed my P/W surge kit today , followed the wiring instructions laid out in the instructions that came with it , soldered the pink wire in the kit to the pink wire at the fuel relay , connect the red wire from the fused link to the power at the fuse box connected the relay up and ran the power to the pump and connect the earthed the relay side to the strut tower like it says to do and earthed the pump so the mount. when it came time to start it blew the 20amp fuel pimp fuse, so I checked both my earths and they are fine. checked I had insulated my soldered wire correctly and I had, added another 20 amp fuse and same thing blew it as soon as I switched the ignition on WTF !!! am I doing wrong ?? any one had the same issue ?? please help
  5. like you im in the same boat , my ute has had a tune already but not with the recent upgrades so im babying it aswell , so really havent noticed a great deal apart from throttle response donw low is alot sharper, but that could also be due to the rest of the upgradeds like the race box and hot/cold side piping etc ! im really only aiming for around 360- to 380 rwkw's and I guess the main reasons I choose the kit is to have maximum amount of flow with minmal effort on the turbo and engine and it also looks sh!t hot . I still have to get the new 4 inch dump pipe and 5 inch cat bolted up as I only have the APS 3.5 inch cat back system on it at the moment, and then install P/W surge kit and a new clutch then off to get it tuned so I guess ill find out the full extent of the mods then , ill be sure to post the results LOL The induction noise through that race box when the car is only gently spooling up is fkn insane im really happy with the purchase even if I did spend that little bit more.
  6. Process west FTW you'll pay a bit more but its so worth it
  7. I wanna see you and riley line up out the strip before it sells ! would be a fkn wicked race !!! ofcourse the ford would win , but still lol !
  8. Hey All , I recently finished installing my P/W Race plenum kit and surge tank kit to my BF ute. it has already been previously tuned and modified but thought it was time to upgrade from the wog cooler and plazmaman stage 1 piping kit. its got the 60lb injectors, nixpro valve springs, exhaust and has been tuned(valet, 10psi and 17psi tunes) my question is is it safe to cruise around in if I put it on my 10 pound tune and keep it off boost until I get around to replacing the old sh!tty cushion button clutch with a mal woods option 3 plus as im not going to bother with a tune until I have a new clutch. since spending over 6 grand on it so far I kinda need to save for the next 3 weeks before the clutch can go in. but still need wheels to get here and there when the wife has our other car ! so anyways enough of my rant ! what are everones thoughts ?? Thanks heaps in advance
  9. Sent you a Pm mate
  10. Congrats mate I recently splurged and got myself the Race plenum kit from Process West and the Surge tank kit !!! all I can say is wait until you see the Quality on this gear its fkn outstanding. not to sure on the 2.2 kit install wise but my install was an absolute breeze (little bit of cutting to fit the massive stage 3 cooler in) but other than that too easy. and Kev includes a step by step guide with the kit which is also very helpful. Im definitely happy with spending the little bit extra and going with P/W for my upgrades now time to visit CPV tuning and she'll all be a go'er .
  11. Yer , I ended up giving him a call hey and had a bit of a chinwag with him , fark me he is on the ball hey , defo knows what he is talking about ! he basically said what do u want out of it and what are my future plans etc. I think it looks like im coming for a drive to Mackay very soon ! lol
  12. Cheers for your info mate ! , yer I think im going to just bite the bullet and spend the extra ! may aswell I think cant hurt hey ! lol
  13. hahahhahha that's fkn hilarious !!! cheers for the inside info there mate !
  14. ahhhh sorry mate not sure what you mean by that comment ??
  15. Hey all , have recently fitted up my P/W race plenum kit and surge tank kit I currently have a APS 3 1/2 inch system from the standard dump back with a 4 inch cat and single muffler at the rear ! I'm aiming for around the 360 to 380 rwkw mark powerwise. Now I'm wondering if it's worth spending the coin to put a bigger dump pipe on ??? As I've been told by a few people that it's not really necessary ! What are everyones thoughts ??? Thanks in advance!
  16. keen to knock off work and finish installing my P/W race kit , relocate the battery to the tray and start the beast !!!

  17. Thanks heaps mate !! Will do
  18. yer ive been researching for ages as to what I was going to spend my hard earned on , and after seeing Process West's 6inch race box in the flesh !!! holy f$%k its worth moving the battery !!! you could almost where the k&n filter as a hat haha its massive !!
  19. ill take some photos and post em !
  20. ..hmmmm okay , so basically you just extended the power cable from the starter to the tray ?? how about the earth did jusy earth the original to the body (where the battery use to be ) then run another earth from the battery to somewhere on the body under the tub ?? cheers
  21. Hey all , recently purchased and half fitted a race plenum kit from Process West. I dont like the idea of the batter sitting behind the front bar so I wanted to relocate it to the tray in the front rh corner, just chasing any ideas as to how I should route the cables ?? inside/outside ?? im open to all ideas , just basically want it neat and out of the way !! cheers in advance for any feedback
  22. Are you talking about Dave sheehy ?? I have heard he is a bit of a guru when it comes to tuning the XRT'S problem is logistics I guess , getting my ute there etc !
  23. Ok , im doing some more mods to my BF T ute , plenum, bigger cooler etc and I want to get it tuned ofcourse after its all been installed , just wanting some feedback on who is worth while entrusting my pride and joy with and to get a decent/safe tune ! obviously not everyone is from my area , but im sure there are some people that everyone may have heard good things about ! Thanks in advance
  24. yer ide say ive dropped about 5G's on it in the last week. I bought a new P/W plenum off a mate that never got around to finishing off a project , scored that for $1500 and got a fairly good Deal off Kev @ P/W on the rest of the gear needed , so its basically a race kit ! only drama I think im going to have is finding someone to tune it that's trustworthy in Townsville see how we go I guess !
  25. that's what im upgrading from , the old M-spec monza , managed 320rwkw's with it , but the NQ weather gets a bit warm so hence the upgrade , anyways decided to order the stage 3 process west cooler , hot&cold side piping to suit the P/W plenum , 4 inch race box and surge tank and fuel pump ! then should be seeing some decent numbers after a good tune ! kit rocks up monday cant wait to hook it all up
