Just fitted areoflow short shifter its sweet much nicer faster shifts

I installed my areoflow short shifter today and its fantastic makes the gearbox heaps nicer to drive and no graunching into second gear.It feels like a car gearbox now not a truck box lol

N mate im just saying they aren't that good an engine and were compromised heavily from a design point of view due to the stroke being too long to take advantage of the dohc heads and rev hard ford aus are at fault and good luck to any one prepared to spend good money making these go fast ratter how much have you spent to make 300rwks?dollar for dollar they are never gonna win mate xr6t Miami 5lt or gen 3 etc will always make more power for the outlay you can make any engine go hard if you throw enough money at it. How much did11.7 cost? ps what kind of torque and low end rpm is it making?

There is no drag strip in 650kms from where I live and its my wifes daily driver so not much chance to quarter mile it yet but soon and im pretty sure it will beat a boss is that unopened with cams? pretty sure that's opening the rocker covers mate you are flogging a dead horse should have just supercharged it and saved your self heaps and had a faster car na is ghey

Chillax champ you know they are sh*te just admit it they have nothing no low down torque and no real top end when standard that is the worst of both worlds that's why holdens flog them as at least they like to rev they should have had the mustang 4.6lt bottom end and they would have revved hard I know some people love to perservere with an engine to make it run the numbers despite what other people think and that's great but as a stock engine they are a big failure.that's why Expensive Daewoo cornered the v8 market sooo bad true story

if you want to tow just turbo your engine a nice low boost high compression engine will be perfect for towing get a stock fg turbo and it should be perfect bulk torque from super low rpm more than the boss engine and with half the cost/hassle involved with going v8.Turbos are designed to add torque which is what you want for towing.

yeah mines a bit of a handful with only 312rwks if you get up it you certainly know about its heaps quicker than stock and gives you quite a rush post up your dyno sheet so people can have a gander

Im sure there not all bad but every 5.4 boss 260 I've been in was a piece of puss and that's 3 2 sedans and one ute the ute had a cold air intake and tune a growler I think and it would have been lucky to have been anywhere near my mates vy ss ute with just a tune so there not that good and they cost bulk to modify so whats the point?

I hide under my bed when the big 5.4s come out to play they beat everything lol
