  1. don't knock the 1uz toyota v8 they sound great and rev hard much better than boat anchor bosses that ford were running until recently I'd wack in one of those then bolt up a turbo or sc conversion and the old rodeo would fly
  2. yeah speed limiter I was no were near the rev limiter I imagine a tune can remove the speed limiter am I right?
  3. 237kmh and hit limiter on stock fg manual and 265kmh in worked jzz30 soarer on private road of course.And soarer handled a lot better and was less scary at 265kmh than xr at 237kmh xr was like a boat ford need to harden the suspension methinks.
  4. your harmonic balancer may be about to fall off like mine was at 45k ford rekon its rare made the gear stick rattle like hell at certain revsand engine light come on sometimes they misdiagnosed it 4 times then eventually fixed it

  6. your car sounds f@#$ked bro nah I had this problem on my soarer twin turbo it was leaking rocker cover gaskets try tightening the bolts or screws that hold the covers down or get new gaskets
  7. why would fg make 245fwk when its rated at 270fwk it makes about 240rwk with a manual

  9. go 4" for sure less restriction and still fits well made a great difference to my car heaps more responsive spins the wheels a lot earlier due to less lag
  10. buy the manual but be prepared they get very sideways very quickly with a few mods but they are great fun if a bit slower in a straight line but they dominate autos through the twisty stuff

  14. If you can't drive very well and need both hands on the wheel at all times get an auto otherwise a manual will be heaps more fun and your exaust won't drone all the time
  15. if turbos arent't supposed to be under load towing stuff all the time how come they use them on trucks?
  16. there is an fg xr6t highway patrol chaser here in kalgoorlie w.a. it looks pretty cool and would be hard to get away from no doubt they look like they enjoy driving it around how unfair it should be banned

  18. Hmm I read the nizpro article its pretty interesting maybe they arent needed I will remove mine and see if it makes a difference to boost dropping off between gears and throttle response
  19. So which manufacturer doesn't use a blow off valve on a turbo car that was built post 1990?
  20. then why does every manufacturer put a bov on turbo engines then genius to protect the commpressor wheel from back pressure when the throttle is shut and to improve the turbo spool time between gears its not jut there to make a ricer sound for losers.

  22. o.k. so I'll need injectors and if I go hiflow cat and remove middle muffler and get a hiflow air intake will a custom tune get me 300rwks on 98 premium?If the turbo isn't out of flow and there is fuel I can't think why not unless the fg intercoolers are crap that is

Hi all I just got an fg xr6 turbo six speed manual the other week and I want to mod it soon but can't seem to get a straight answer on how much power these can make with the stock injectors and fuel pump can I get 300rwkw without changing them?Also what other support mods would I need to do if any
