  1. Hi guys, I am currently in the process of refitting my front and rear Bars after taking them off to fix them up a little and also fitting my new typhoon sideskirts, just wondering if anyone knows of any good quality Car painters that dont charge a arm and leg in the West Sydney area? just need to paint front bar, rear bar, side skirts and Front drivers side fender in mercury silver. Cheers!!
  2. Farout really! Wow.. That vibration must b really pissibg u off lol, I'm really not keen on taking out the rear end Ay... Yeh gbox n flywheel area is the only other thing it could be I guess.. I wonder if others that had done the t56 conversion get it too... Because when I had the T5 in it didn't vibrate at all... yeh keep us posted thatll b great mate thanks..
  3. Sorry 3.75 gears lol typo error... Stuff 2.75 the thing would bloody move lol.. Yeh could be tailshaft I guess.. When I removed it I refitted it I marked it same position.. Nah doesn't do it rolling or when decelerating only under load in an gear say around 1000 rpm just near 3000rpm... The power is fine on the car still breaking traction in second and pulls away fine.... Any other suggestion on what to look for guys? cheers for that...
  4. Hey guys I have a 2003 Ba xr6t, with around about 360kw and 60,000kms.. I did the t56 conversion myself about a year ago and since then in the lower rpm range from about 1000 - 3000 rpm there is a vibration felt through the driveline... At first I though it could have been because I still have the old 2:75 diff gears.. But now It's sort of starting to annoy me lol.. Any1 else experience this with their car? I've heard from a few people that it's normal in the T56s but I just want to make sure.. Any help would be Greatly appreciated... Cheers Tam!
  5. The clutch was fine and had no problems at all handled around 360kw for 60,000kms with no probs what so ever... After I ditched the 5spd n fitted the T56 it only lasted a couple months and the release point was really high thus kept stalling but didn't really feel it slipping... So I took It out n got it rebuilt with better pucks, diaphram and more clamp load... Thanks Alot for that link been hunting everywhere for a diagram like that... I also found this on mals ace clutch site http://www.aceclutch.com.au/pdf/Clutch_Fitting_Tips.pdf The manual doesn't say the measurements and I even called Extreme and they didt have any specs either... So I'm thinking 14-17mm.. But just want to make sure and get it right... . Not planning to keep the car for much longer which is why I just resorted to rebuildin the extreme clutch... Already spent Alot of money on it... Now need to fund other projects lol
  6. Hey guys, I recently had my extreme ceramic clutch rebuilt (yes I know malwood would have been better but unfortunately didnt have the funds) and now in the process of refitting it... I've heard a few things about shimming the clutch slave cylinder to get the correct travel and operating heights of the clutch pedal.. Could someone pls clarify this to me.. How do I go about measuring and from which points? I did the T56 conversion and far as I know it has a standard 2mm spacer behind the CSC... Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks Tam

  8. it just developed over night ay.. I drive to richmond everyday to work n the roads are absoloutely crap, so I reckon the bushes be buggerd from that.. ill bring it in soon mate. just waiting on some finances to come through.. does it cost to have a look and quote? I only live around the corner.
  9. Hey guys, Recently my 03 xr6t steering has been starting to play up, when driving I can feel every bump through the steering and it jumps all over the place :-S and when I take a bend seems like the tyres aren't aligned and it screeches like crazy, its so bloody dangerous ive parked it up until I get it fixed, in the wet it understeers so much.. got no control of it what so ever. its got bilstein suspenson and lowered king springs all round. I know that its got something to do with the front end bushes but not quite sure which bushes align and adjust what. not much experience in suspension stuff. Anyone know what could it be? or are the BA bushes know to be crap, and what manufacturer to use? I live in Penrith. So any suggestions as to who to take it aswell greatly appreciated Cheers Tam
  10. yeh means I gotta freight it up there... wonder if ne1 in syd would buy it off me.. I might take it apart n try fix it myself n sell it off.. just need to get my hands on a overhaul manual or something..
  11. I filled the box through reverse switch when the gearbox was out of the car, I was told that 4L of tranzmax Z should do it but im gonna change the oil within the next few weeks (where can I get 1L bottles of tranzmax Z?)
  12. yeh I do have a twin plate in it so guess nothin to worry about nemore.. btw ne1 want to buy a blown T5 or know wat I can do with it? dont wanna throw it away.. or shall I get it repaired n sell it off again?
  13. haha yeh.. nice one!
  14. phew! thankgod.. im happy now.. was parenoid that there was something wrong with it.. coz after I blew the T5 I did the T56 conversion myself n it was a second hand box with 45000kms on it n I was sure I checked over everything before installing it and gbox came with 3 mnth warranty.. T56 conversion, best money spent! well worth it.. ditch the T5! lol
  15. hey everyone, Recently my T56 gbox in my 03 xr6t has started chattering in neutral with my foot off the clutch and its starting to annoy me, it doesnt happen when cold, so my assumption is that because the oil is thinner when hot its making noise in the gears when spinning freely, or theres something wrong with the throwout bearing or is this chattering noise normal in the T56's? has anyone else got this same issue? I put transmax Z in a few weeks ago, so should I try a thicker oil? ne info would be greatly appreciated.. cheers Tam
