  1. I realise this is an old thread but I went through the same exercise and the part that's needed is a $50 part from ford. Part number is : BGC P28560A. It's that part that bolts down and the soft cover clips on to.
  2. Took it in to ford and they're claiming it's the angle of the diff because I have lowered it. From reading on here I'm pretty convinced that lowering it will not have caused the problem. Anybody here with the issue with lowered cars?
  3. I have the whine at 100k's as mentioned in this thread. FG XR6T ute. 12000k's on the clock now. I'll be taking it in soon for 15000 and hopefully get a fix.
  4. Yeah I though coil overs were a bit much for a ute... But they would be a good thing.
  5. it's a hobby ute for me and I don't take really heavy loads although I have towed a tandem trailer with a race car on it and it has no worries. Being a tandem there isn't much tow ball down pressure. Replaced the leafs entirely.
  6. Update on my ute. Went to pedders in Ringwood (Melb) and got the lowest I could go legally. Here are some pics. Cost 960 with fitting and alignment. Not exactly cheap (leafs are so expensive!) but I'm very happy with it.
  7. Falcon FG 6CYL XR6 & XR6 Turbo Cold Air Intake Kit - eBay, Other, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 10-Jul-10 14:11:30 AEST) This seems ok for the money.
  8. Some footage from superlap 2010 in my R32 GTSt with 230rwkw's and Advan A050's
  9. That was me in my 2WD skyline. I had a blast. Fantastic event. I am so keen to get there again next year with a bigger setup! Good work plazmaman with the XR6T. Sounded like you guys were on the limiter at the end of the straight every time!
  10. Sorry haven't been back on the forums for a while. I am from Melbourne. Doncaster East. Just trying to remember if I have been out croydon way with the car on the trailer?.... I have been out there in that car but don't think it was on the trailer. It's street registered. Oh and my skyline is not the hi-octane one haha.
  11. Anybody know how low king spring super lows are?
  12. This is the car I'll be driving. Thanks mate. I'll be in touch.
  13. I'm in melbourne but will be in sydney 21-22nd May for superlap at Eastern Creek racing my skyline. Not sure how low to go yet. I do a bit of towing so don't want to go silly. I'll do a bit more research. Hopefully someone on here has some pics of their car lowered.
  14. Yeah I thought so too. Found this : http://www.kingsprings.com/catalogue/kings_master_catalogue.pdf Looks like the link I posted was not for XR6's. Only standard utes. Ford Falcon FG XR6 ute 08-On Lowered King Springs Set - eBay Coil Springs, Suspension, Steering, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 26-May-10 19:58:32 AEST) these one is the XR6 ones.
  15. I went the manual and I'm happy with it but it is a big box so it's noisy etc but it needs to be to handle the power and loads. The auto's are really good and faster blah blah blah but it wasn't what I wanted. Go the manual.
