  2. I guess its much and much when you consider that they will also put mine on the dyno. So not bad I guess for what im getting. Paulie2256, did you by any chance get yours on the dyno after the install or didnt worry too much about it as Kevin (process west) said it would be advisable as did my tuner? Thanks for the replies guys...
  3. Thanks Miles. I did ring Kevin today and asked him for a price. He said the surgetank and the pump was 990 and 150 for the wiring stuff. I also asked him about my tuner wanting to put the car back on the dyno for a check up after-woods to make sure that it doesnt (spike ?) or something after the install, Kevin suggested that it would be wise to do that as it can happen. My tuner (Tunehouse) is not cheap and from what I have seen so far with what he has done and quality of work, I guess its not too bad. I think ?
  4. Im sure when he quoted me after my tune that he ment the sure and the pump. Might see if I can get another quote somewhere else. Any good mechanic should be able to install this im guessing without having to worry about a good job done ? Thanks

  7. Good on ya Mark I'm glad it all went well for you at the end mate. I'm yet to have a go, but if you can do it (no disrespect mate ) with "boxing glove hands", I should have a go as well (maybe not).
  8. So the general consensus from a few pages I read is to clean the solenoid as there should be no harm in it but to gain some good, if done without any glitches. Not sure if I should attempt it yet (as I am keen to), because someone here wrote when asked if it was ok to do the fg model that is was not or wouldnt be nessary to do so. Yet others are saying its not a bad idea to do it every 10k or so. My fg has done 20,000km and it seems ok but probably wont know if it needed cleaning until I do it and see if it does go a little bit more better. Also,I have noticed that sometimes if I do plant my foot down that in second gear (auto) it kind of struggles a second or two and then picks up again. Not sure if this (solenoid) may be cousin it or not but would probably be good idea to try this little maintenance ? Will be going for a retune on Tuesday with Tunehouse and might explain this little problems to Jim as everyone speaks highly of him and thus my reasons going to him and not to the previous tuner (bit of the topic there) So, in a nutshell, this Solenoid maintenance should be ok for anyone to do, even an FG ?   10. Thanks for the offer mate. Sounds like a good system as you guys are all raving about it. Ill ring Tunehouse and ask if they also use this system as it would make it much easier to get a tune done at the same time. From what I have read, my understanding is for my FG xr6t is that a 4 inch dump pipe and a 4 or a 5 inch cat is sufficient. Ive been told by a friend that is all I need. If it isn't a dumb question, does the Nizpro system come as a full unit or is it possible just to get the dump pipe and cat on its own? Or would you guys suggest getting the whole system? if its going to make the performance a whole lot better, then I would take that option. Thnaks in advance. Steve.

  12. Sorry for my ignorance (im very new to all this), but when you say a split second slow on 1st/2nd, am I understanding it wrong that the car is a split second slower Now on take offs (every time) or just when it worms up ? Thanks for anyone that can clarify in advance.

  14. Benny, the tune you got just on standard injectors with approx 280rwkw is damn good compared to mine. I got 283 rwkw with 60 bls injectors and a Tune. How did yours go in regards to economy? I have lost app 80-100 kms a tank with exactly the same driving along the way to work and back on freeway. Think I need to try a new tune house. Can I ask where you got yours tuned at ?
