  5. It wasn't too bad, because it was wet and the speeds were down. Still needed a bleed afterwards. But you have about 4 or 5 big stops that the brakes dont like. I'll upgrade mine to the PBR kit after Christmas I think. Then get some Koni’s a few months after that. :D
  6. It's very different to Wakefield. Its very fast. Fast corners and lost of walls. I didn’t get any dry laps in which was disappointing, but I’ll go again a few times next year. I’m hooked!!

Well, yesterday the owner of the Monaro called his insurer and they said because it wasn't timed racing, and because there were instructors there is would be classified as "Driver Training" and he may be covered. He had to call them back today to speak to someone more senior about it. They also said if he'd called them before hand and told them he was going, he'd be in a better situation. So we'll see what happens.
  8. I had Nankang NS-II's on for my skid pan day and the only bad tyre was the left front. I think the Nankangs have a soft side-wall, but my pressures were ok.

  10. Sounds like you need to clean out your boost solenoid. Its located sort of next to your battery but down a bit. Take the top hose off, spray WD-40 down it, put the hose back on – give it 30mins – take it for a thrash and it should be good. Hope that helps.

  13. I did the track day with www.drivingsolutions.com.au Not bad for $200. Wakefiled Park is half that but you have to drive there and back. EC is nice and close and I'd never driven round there before.
  14. Yesterday I did a track day at Eastern Creek. I'd never been round Eastern Creek before so I was a bit worried when it started to rain just before my first session. It ended up raining all day long. Reality set in early when one of the guys in my group lost it in his Monaro on the main straight and hit the wall. Took out both the front and the back of the car - even the bonnet came off. Definitely written off. Here is a video of me driving through just after it happened... If anyone wants to know what an edited XR6T is like on a wet track, I can tell you. 3rd or 4th gear just lean on the loud pedal and its sideways time. It looks slow on the videos but its quite scary. Here is some footage that my dad shot of a bit of the sideways action... Also here is an in car clip of heaps of sideways action. You could drive the thing sideways round that track all day long.......so I did :lol: In this last clip I talk you round a lap of Eastern Creek. Its not a tidy lap but it is entertaining. Keep an eye out for the turtle on the track too... Now for some pics. Thanks to Dad, Kyle and Brasher for being my photographers for the day. Ford Drift team :D Me hunting an R32 GTR So if ever you get the chance to do a track day, do one. And even if it rains you can still have a ball. In all honesty I was a bit disappointed that it didn’t dry out because you couldn’t have a red hot go.
  15. Today was the Oran Park round of the CAMS National series. Was a great day of racing. Also good to see the XR6T win yet another round of the Production Car Championship, even though they’ve already taken out the championship for this year. Thanks to the teams that invited me into their pit garages for a chat.     I know of someone that has had this problem on a stocker. I cant remember if it was this forum or not. But it has happened before.
