  1. More preload is going to load the wastegate with more spring pressure holding it closed. (normally done for high boost applications) I guess with the higher spring load the actuator won't necessarily open as commanded, but I could be wrong about that, I don't know how good the boost control in the falcon is for making up for differences like that.
  2. 1/2 hole preload does mean that you have to slightly pull the actuator rod to connect it to the wastegate arm.
  3. I reckon tune as well. And if he has pulled a bulb to stop it displaying that something is logged he has something to hide.
  4. If you go down the NGK path you can normally by pre gapped .8 instead of the 1.1. Not saying the gapping at the factory is always that accurate but its close.
  5. Nice Shrunk, looked like you were reeling the rs6 in. Was the drags on this weekend while the skope stuff is on or is this from a different weekend. I must go again and see what the ute can do.
  6. Check what Ralph said above, good point to check first.
  7. Yea, its all down to environment that its stored in really. If you have it getting condensation inside the bottle from being in heat then cold its obviously going to ruin the oil.
  8. Trims are mainly clipped on but there are a few screws. Easy to find if you look round the trim you'll find them. Don't forget screw under inner handle.
  9. Sure it will keep as long as you keep it in cool dry area.
  10. Remember when using full syn the first number can be low as its just a closer starting viscosity which is better for the engine. The main thing is to have the correct end weight so that depending on your driving the oil is at the viscosity that the engine requires to be properly lubricated.
  11. Yea the price ends up about the same when having to make your own brackets. I'm am going through this process with some 4 pot brembos from an audi, although they are a similar size to the falcon ones (audi is slightly larger) I doubt the bracket that ford use would work. Also it is basically impossible to get the bracket on its own. So I am on the fabrication track. Also because of the slightly larger pads I can only run the DBA5000 series as these have a larger pad wear area than the 4000 series. So basically if you want to be different and spend the same money go for it, otherwise just buy the kit. I'll post photos once finished.

That is way better. As for this oil pressure indication. I thought the F6 had boost and voltage for the gauges. Are they factory gauges or have they been changed? Also what do you mean by you have a wastegate? The turbo will make some noise but it is hard to know without hearing if its bad or not.
  13. Is it the brake pads knocking around with the disc? I had similar in my subie and it was the stainless retainers had lost their spring and allow the small movement of the pad and made the knocking while going along. Wasn't all the time either.

My suggestion is to learn how to write with paragraphs. This will either fix the problem or allow someone to easily read what you've written and suggest a solution.
  15. Workshop manuals are hard to come by.
  16. Go the process west over the HDi in my mind. It will be a much better product. Maybe just a highflow cat for the exhaust, I've got BF model so don't know about your exhaust. Injectors depends on how much power you want. Whose going to tune it?
  17. Good thread mine. If you had a buckle in there then you have to take that out to put your seatbelt in. Easier to just disable the minder.
  18. Probably be fine, the tips are a long way from the hot area.
  19. Fact remains that if the cars computer decides to lower the limit it can.
  20. Your not the first to put a rod out the side.
  21. Yea ya just gotta do some shooting to learn the rifle. I run with the L96 and long shots 700m + are 3-4 dots elevation. Great feeling when you get someone, or take out the driver of a quad.
  22. The blades of the turbine will go down the exhaust, not to the intake.
  23. Im on PS4 tag is wenier, origin is dahlc.
  24. I like that ford USA were still too lazy to produce a rh drive one for the reveal in sydney.
  25. Probably just needs the tune redone. The boost control in the tune is most likely the issue, definitely looks like its opening/closing smoothly and easily. The actuator will only do as commanded by the controller.
