  1. The fact your doing mods and the tuning costs money, it isn't really expensive when compared with overall costs.
  2. Would of thought the pump would wait till ON or position II to prime not ACC or I. Could be wrong but pump should be off in ACC.
  3. No fuel pump is it since it does it with the engine off?
  4. Would of thought the gauge would come with a sender. Then just look up the thread about installing them.
  5. Id stick to Dot 4 fluid if I were you, just get a really good one.
  6. I thought that kit came with under battery intake, so your growler will be out anyway. Plus the piping comes up on the intake side doesn't it?
  7. Id do the actuator if you don't want to change the turbo. My BF use to drop 5psi in the top end with the standard turbo. Did flapper and actuator and it holds perfectly now.
  8. Pretty sure for oil pressure that the min at idle is 19psi and min at 2000rpm is 43psi. This assumes that it is fully warmed.
  9. I did see if you know what your doing you can set custom PID's. Possibly that would make the oil temp readable.

  11. That taipan one looks good, saw it in your other post. If you do put a hole in the cap for a funnel make sure you also have small air venting holes so that the oil flows in quickly.
  12. Yea but the bought funnel is stuck in the oil cap to hold it.
  13. Did an oil change today (72500km). Even made a funnel for it.

Just to add other info, I was mucking around with the torque app and watch the temps etc. So car is BF2 running 10psi for 285rwkw, ambient temp was 21 deg C and the intercooler is the small factory cooler. I went through 4 90 deg corners that cover under 1km in distance was obviously slowing down and accelerating (little bit of feathering for traction then WOT) to around 100km/h (posted limit). Using 2nd and 3rd gear. IAT started at 30 very quickly went to 49 through that area then took about 10km to get back to 30 with driving on cruise at 100k for 3km then 80k for another 3km then 50km for the last 4km. The factory cooler definitely doesn't do me any favours.

  16. Yea that sounds normal. Gearbox is waiting for you to boot it again, once enough time has passed it changes.

  18. What about coils. Maybe they are breaking down under load and not giving the spark.
  19. If your in traffic there is no airflow and the IAT will rise. The intercooler can't do any cooling without airflow.

    Are you meaning the grommet that holds it to the bracket from the hub? They usually only go in one way so that once in you twist them and the line is locked in.
  21. I want to take another path of misfire under load in the higher gearing. So spark or coils maybe.
  22. I can hear something but really can't hear it well enough to make a real judgement on it. Are there any tuners near you, they may be best for diagnosing it.
  23. Yea you should probably sort any other issues otherwise you might have a 3rd (built) engine go bang.
  24. Technically if you have straightened the rod and not adjusted the length then yes the boost would most likely be less at cracking pressure due to less preload. I have a 12psi actuator and with 1/2 hole it cracked spot on 12psi. So by rights you should have less boost, but by sound you have more. Unless your intake has changed to allow more noise out which you wouldn't otherwise hear.
  25. Can be done without removing anything, just have to hold your tongue the right way.
