  1. Sorry been a bit busy lately. It's a Torque Clamp.
  2. Land Rover D2 engines can do that leaking copper washer thing. Causes lack of fuel that starves engine and makes it just stop randomly, also puts fuel in oil so the oil level goes up. Easy to change and parts cheap as out of the UK. In NZ we get screwed by shops but ebay and internet shops are your friend, parts are actually very cheap.
  3. Q1, Why buy a kit, just remove the filter from the banjo bolt so it can't block.
  4. I'm running a twin plate organic and they are noisy under load at low rpm/high gears, don't know if much difference from cerametallic but I doubt it is much quieter. Can get a little annoying if your using it in traffic as lots of stop starts gets it a bit bitey (spelling?) after awhile. I do have the cerametallic plates lying around must try them one day, also the plates between organic and cera are diff size in mine so the plate between the 2 discs is specific to the material to make up the correct size.
  5. I know I'm not in Australia but the NZ housing prices have been pretty stupid for a long time now. It actually gets to a point that if you want into the market you need to stop thinking too much about price and just get in there. Now in saying that I don't mean pay so much that when the market does slump you have a mortgage that is bigger than the value of the property. On the toys side, I earn pretty good money but I know the toys I accumulate now have to last me as I won't have a chance for a long time once kids come into the equation and it's single income. So I'm almost there I have the ute, got 1 jetski which is 155hp and am currently working on a 2nd 255hp fun ski so me and the girl have 1 each. Luckily I already own my property and it has a small house on it but its going to cost me big time when we build a house the way we want it. But like you there is no way a swift will be in my garage, I'd rather slam my dick in a draw than have to drive one.
  6. Have a read under the ute section, this has been answered many times already.
  7. Yea they look great in black depending on vehicle colour. I've had mine in black for over a year but damaged the plastidip by straping wood to the bars awhile ago. must redo them.
  8. With were the lines normally are you've had to have had something get up inbetween the chassis rails to crush them.
  9. Waiting on my tractor to turn up so I can get all Southern USA redneck on it. YEEHAAA! Billy bob jimjam.
  10. It's called a Youtube search.
  11. Jeez that was a low blow.
  12. Nice work, have you considered maybe changing the wire that holds the rear gate with something solid when carrying the bikes. I use to carry my bikes round on the ute when I had them and although the wire that holds the gate shouldn't have an issue I just wonder if something more solid would be worthwhile.
  13. Looked at it yesterday, then took the jetski out with mates towed by my land whale instead. I think its getting lonely in the shed.
  14. Hate those scotch locks, definitely go for a different method if possible.
  15. Why did you go XR6 springs, I thought the F6 model actually was a factory low? Did you check the king p/n between F6 and non F6.
  16. My partner has a golf gtx which is gti with all the options (can buy them cheaper than gti here), and spares arent bad you just have to shop around. I wouldn't say it costs anymore to own than the ford spares wise.
  17. Still got my ute and no intention of letting it go. Just clocked 79,000km on the BF2. In saying that I couldn't care less about the ford vs holden, only reason I brought it was the engine, just love it.
  18. Maybe its intentional to try and give the other sites a chance to catch up. Still annoying though. Still 404 now.
  19. 31 to go till 2k. got a good wee boost from the phone for you.
  20. Someone has installed an aftermarket BOV when you weren't looking. Check the recirculation pipe from the BOV to intake is still connected, may have come off and is release to atmosphere.
  21. Drove it for a change as had to take trailer and also get load of dirt in the back. Stop in at supermarket park far away from shop especially cause of trailer, bloody toyota corolla parks next to me, me wondering why. Come back as they had got through store quicker than me and nice dent + white paint on passenger side where they have smashed their drivers door into mine. F**k I was angry. And no car park cameras so yea that was shet.
  22. You've got to remember that the 0w40 and a 10w40 are the same weight at normal operating temps. A 0w is actually closer to the 40 requirement that the engineers who design the vehicle want at operating temp. Running a higher end number is if you flog it enough that the higher operating temp you have makes that higher number act the same as say a 40 at normal operating temp. So generally the first number isn't going to make a huge difference, but the quality and brand can. Oil is bloody hard to get right and each to their own really. I run a 5w40 and no issues at all.
  23. If you just unbolt the tailshaft from the join at the gearbox instead of slipping it out the fluid stays in. Saves buying a plug when you really don't need to. Takes a bit of time and if on hoist use a gearbox jack, as stated you need to be careful not to bend plates.
  24. My BF2 uses a rear wheel ABS sensor for speed, don't know which side. If you pull ABS fuse under dash you get a lot of lights and no speed, but also gets upset and limp modes and rev cuts randomly and violently. If you pull the ABS No2 fuse from engine bay yet again lots of lights and no speed but it doesn't randomly rev cut and will allow it to rev out normally. I found this out at the track when I was having issue with ABS coming in with hot brakes when barely touching the pedal which was a bit hairy trying to slow up for a fast corner with almost no braking ability. Once ABS was out the picture I could brake hard and late into the corner.
  25. High and capable towing capacity? If I worked at the exemptions place I'd tell ya it doesn't and to get a diesel truck if that was the reasoning for it.
