  1. :sungum: nah got a wicked deal and managed to get them included lol, I was using it as a size comparison.
  2. Got some 4 piston Wilwood brakes for the front of the old girl, im thinking custom brackets to make them fit cos I seriously doubt they will..
  3. I'd like to retain Vct as it helps keep peak torque longer. In saying that why have you opted to remove Vct and drive by wire? Just curious.
  4. Love it mate well done! Going against the trend but I like the front bar! Looks tough as.
  5. man I wish they had e85 at the pump in WA :(
  6. Nah not gonna be running Drive by Wire. At least that's the plan at the moment anyway lol. Reason being I wont be running a B series throttle body.
  7. Oh really? I figured it would be the same as the ef/el where the temp guage is a differen signal frequency, but good to know man . I posted above that I got the pulley kit from atomic
  8. Yeah has anti lag, flat shift, two step limiter, launch control and a plethora of other features. Cheers for the heads up ay I didn't know that .
  9. Yeah I'm a big fan of retaining the factory units where possible because as you say nothing runs them better. However I am transplanting a barra into my 94 ED XR6 so having a B series ecu isn't a concern, the e series computer will run some of the dash components and the Link G4 will run the rest .
  10. The Link G4 Xtreme is DVCT capable. I'm running it on my ED DOHC Conversion.
  11. Cheers for the positive comments guys , I cant wait for it to be done haha. I figured if I cut corners it would just bite me in the arse, so might as well do everything properly the first time, be a lot easier to chase out any problems when they are encountered that way. Hahaha me too! Most of it was just a waiting game really, the real test is about to begin and the ECU is a Link G4 Xtreme (I have it already but never took any pics of it for some reason), not running the B series computer with this one, gonna run the factory E-series computer to control a few things on the dash and then the Link will run the rest.
  12. Thanks fellas, Yeah im not too sure how this turbo is gonna go actually, I dont think the pics here do it justice for its size to be honest. Here's a pic of it in my Force 8 engine bay for comparison, the one on the right is mine and the one on the left is going into another car, the one on the left is the next size im gonna go if this doesn't get me where I want.. I got the pulley kit off Atomic
  13. Viper intake manifold with fuel rail 6boost manifold 50mm Turbosmart Progate Wastegate After I had all these things it was time for the removal of the old faithful SOHC donk, the cruise control was also removed, aircon removed. All unused holes were marked for welding and filling and the battery tray was marked for removal as the battery was getting relocated to the boot. The car then got towed to Outter Limitz spraypainting in Maddington where Alan and his boys welded up all the marked holes, prepped the car, removed the battery tray and then painted the engine bay in a custom Cobalt Blue with blue crystal pearl. The paint looks awesome in person and the sunlight makes the whole bay light up, the rest of the car will be getting this same paint once the conversion is done. While the car was being painted my turbo and intake manifold went off for polishing So this is where the car sits at the moment, about to go back in to BYE Performance now for the engine conversion next week with a few other bits and pieces. The K-Frame will be painted once it's been modified to fit the BF sump. Cheers for reading, I'll post updates as it comes along, the plan is to have it ready for Perth Powercruise this year in October. Leigh
  14. Hi all I thought I'd share my current project that I have going at the moment. Last year I purchased myself a 1994 ED XR6 Auto in Cobalt Blue with 197,000km on the clock, apart from a few car door dings and stone chips, slight rust in the front of the sills the car was pretty straight and in decent condition for its age. The plan was to build a maximum 500rwhp Turbo SOHC street/eventer, however after I got talking to Justin at BYE Performance and Brad from Atomic Performance I soon decided to go down the road of the DOHC conversion with a T56 running it. Shortly after buying the car on a hot the power steer unit clapped out, so while I replaced that I put in a complete new power steering rack, also replaced the tie rod ends, new feed line from the pump, new pump and housing, and got a wheel alignment. New slotted rotors fitted to the front with Bendix pads, and had the rear discs machined and gave the rear calipers some Bendix love too and also Replaced the wheel bearings all around. Shortly after this I had the car go to WA Suspension and get some new suspension. In went some Super Pro bushes, new ball joints, Whiteline adjustable swaybars, Koni Yellow adjustable Shocks and Lovells Super Low springs all around. Once I got it back I replaced a few things electrically and cosmetically around the car, A tail light was cracked so put a new one in, fixed all the mouldings and garnishes up, fixed the brake light switch and cruise control switch and also changed the orange side repeaters to clear BA ones. Lastly I changed the 15 inch 5 spoke ED XR wheels to EF/EL 16 inch FTR's and got it Tinted. Then a couple of months went by as I hoarded coin and pillaged settlements for food and beverages until I could afford to drop money down on an Atomic 698 GT-A with a few custom modifications done by Brad and a Malwood T56 Conversion Kit. I originally had the Ace option 3+ kit, but it was at this point that things started to get out of hand and the build just kept getting bigger and bigger.. So instead I swapped out the original kit and got an Option 6 Steel Composite Assembly Twin 9.5" Carbon plate clutch and lightened Flywheel kit instead. From here the parts just kept coming, hoarding anything shiny and metal. Picked up my turbo Billet pulley kit
  15. Hi I'm Leigh, Been lurking about this site for a while now just reading and learning what I can, im in the process of building a 1994 ED Falcon with an Atomic BF DOHC 698 GT-A engine conversion and T56. The car is just at the stage to get the new motor put in now, should start happening next week if all things go to plan. Hoping to have it ready for the Perth Powercruise in October. Where can I start a build thread on here? Cheers Leigh
  16. Thanks mate appreciate the info.
  17. Bf has 8 degrees more lift on the exhaust side than the ba, inlet is the same.
  18. Hi Simon, just read this thread and ive gotta say its an amazing piece of machinery this F6 has. Im currently building my own beast motor that im gonna slot into an ED, im just curious about What clutch were you running on the 1249rwhp run? And is it still the factory t56 or are a beefed up auto? Best of luck with the future in this mate, Leigh
  19. Thanks for the confirmation on that, I'd always suspected it would slow you down slightly by either actuating the internal wastegate of the turbo, using the gearbox to remove power from the drivetrain or applying the brakes to a certain wheel using the ABS sensors. Does anyone here know which way the falcon uses? or is it a combo of all three? just out of curiosity?
  20. Hey guys, Having never owned a falcon with TC or DSC, I was wondering when my mate takes his BA XR6T down to the drags is it best to leave TC on or off? I guess my question is does having traction control on affect your 0-100km/h and 0-400m times?
