Sounds a bit like the dealership I work in (work for fraud in parts) but our dealership has five franchises and most of the salesman know there sh*t.....except for ford. There dumb as, I had a similar scenario, I was genuinely asking about new car prices and specs and sh*t on the new falcons. (which I already knew, but wanted to see what they knew) Apart from not knowing anything they pretty much didn't have any time for me as I worked there and young and probably imagined I couldn't afford anything so now I can play there game back to them when they come to parts. Oh and must be just a ford service department thing cause there that useless where I work as well haha

In my old el it had an old sh*tty Sony head unit that the buttons didn't work properly and if u hit it they worked but one day I hit just that bit to hard and smashed all the screen and the buttons fell off and couldn't use it on nothing else but the radio cause that was the last working thing haha learnt my lesson to not hit sh*t THAT hard lol

Is it just the narrow band A/F Gauge with just the little disco light flashing back and forth? If so then no it has no back light just that annoying light bouncing back and forth being about as handy as cancer. Mine came with my car but in time is going and being replaced cause personally its absolutely useless to me and just bounces back and forth unless your flat where it gives a proper reading.

As far as I am aware any modification to the exhaust system is illegal but I reckon its all up to the discretion of Mr plod. For example, there's some toss where I live with one of those cowboy utes and he has a straight through exhaust from extractors, no cat, no muffler of any kind and it is loud as fark. You can hear him coming for blocks its that bad. Then another mate had a standard BA but just had the rear muffler removed and cops booked him for undue noise but nothing to do with actually booking him about the exhaust. So really who knows like I have my center muffler cut out and have never had a worry.

There exactly the same, be it xt, xr6t, xr8 or whatever breed there is, they're all the same on the ba/bf/fg. Although there is a new genuine part number for the fg listed, the ba/bf part still fits and is a better looking quality of filter. (that's genuine ones anyway)

Cold Rock where I live is way to overpriced. There's been like 3 prices rises in the last month and a half. Used to go there every now and then, but after last time which was $8 (this was before any mix ins) for a pissy arsed little cup that wasn't even filled properly. I don't think ill be going back there any time soon.

Well the one I almost got sucked into was right up to me pretty much sending the money before I said nah this is crap and he actually rang my number as it was in the listing and I couldn't understand a single word this toss was saying. After about a min of his utter ramble crap I just told him where to get off and hung up and sent a nicely worded email and that was it from him.

Yeah I was almost scammed by the same thing (different person same story) when I was selling my scooter. Not even a couple hours after I listed I got the email saying the usual how is it and what condition but when it came to it he wanted me to do the same thing and send $750 via western union money transfer to the UK and was address to some apartment blocks. When I got the email "on behalf" of paypal about saying the money was deducted I checked paypal and there was no account activity at all so I told him to piss off. After him I got a least 4 more of them but only sent back payment as being direct deposit or C.O.D. Funniest part that fella said he was an engineer on an off shore trawler and had no access to online banking only paypal, but funny that he can get on the net to email and use paypal but blow me down not internet banking (if he was actually legit) and was buying it for his son and another one that springs to mind was he said he was a doctor in Afghanistan and wanted to buy it for his son to cheer him up cause he was depressed he was away so much

Well this was in a ba/bf and yeah I assume it does cause I can lock it with the keypad and the car keeps on running. I installed one not long ago, just a $100 one from autobarn and got the instructions on how to install off another thread on the forum took me all of 2 hours to do by myself from start to finish and had no dramas at all works perfectly (can even lock with the remote keypad). Now I can just pull up, get out and walk off and that's it. (used to do the whole sitting and waiting but just got bored with that)

Well I'm gunna let them try again and in case they stuff it again im gunna get a copy of the recall with all the steps on how to do it which is all they follow and attack it myself. Im pretty sure im more capable then the useless mechanic they put on the job, and mine also sits really high out of the roof as well, looks like sh*t compared to what it used to.

Well I finally got mine done this arvo at ford, took them 2 hours and still couldn't manage to fit it right. Told me to take it home and just see how it goes and I push the number 2 to make it go back and it makes a nice banging sound now and doesn't go right back and I cant manually over ride it with the arrow buttons. Big fail, but that's what happens when mines the first one they've done cause I work there and they've F**ked it up, when I go to work tomorrow I'm getting them to fix it the useless twats.

Yeah its after and also when its idling after Ive been driving it but it doesn't do it every time just maybe 2 out of every 5 times I drive it or so.

No its not that cause you can hear the clicking and creaking of the pipes but over that there's a definite distinct popping sound.

Just thought I'd find out if anybody would have any idea of what my problem is. After I've driven my car after spirited driving or just casual pottering around at idle afterwards or after turning the car off it makes this weird popping sound in the exhaust near the engine, like its not constant it'll be just every now and then and only do it about 3 or 4 times and that's it. Ive got a standard exhaust just the center muffler cut out and the car tuned but that's it. The car isn't running bad, its fine I just find it weird. If anyone wants a video I can try and get one tomorrow but just thought someone might have heard of it.

Pretty sure all CAPA stuff like that are all generic tunes (correct me if im wrong) which pretty much everyone on here will tell you to steer well clear of it. Best thing would be to do is get what you want fitted BEFORE the tune but baby it until then and get a custom tune from a reputable tuner near you and they will supply you with a flash tuner such as that or more like the X3 tuner and at least you know it will be safe. The tuner will probably also advise to whether you would need injectors or not.

Yeah I had that feeling, cause ive had all my icc facia and gearstick surround and all little trims done in the gloss black finish and I was after the tripod gauge holder but I might just have to paint it then, thanks.

Just wondering if anybody knows what finish the pole position gauges come in? Is it just that sort of a gunmetal finish or whatever or can you get it in a smooth gloss black finish?
