Heres an idea of how good repco shafts are. Lasted 3 months and couldnt handle a night at the drags.
-
Is yours dual zone? The missus territory had a similar issue where there was full head coming out the drivers side and the passenger was fine. Just pulled the whole dash out thinking it was a mixture shaft. Nope shafts where fine, pretty sure it was the control motor that operates the drivers side shaft. Its all back together and seems to be workin after I cleaned all the contacts in the motor.

Ill see if I can pull the clip off my xbox but I managed a 1,252m headshot with only a x14 scope on the srr61.

Went 11.4 @ 126mph last night a couple times. One was with a 1.7 60ft and the other with a 1.8. With about 415kw in a dirty ol ba. But snapped the lh cv shaft at the end of the night lol -
What sh*ts me is when we had to change over to 7mate for the half hour during the twlight race it wad in hd. I dont see why they can broadcast it on there in hd all the time, would be so much better.

^^this is true. Last time I run mine at the strip I was launchin on mt's and had no issues. The other day just did a 2nd gear roll on on the street and bam blew cv to pieces and all over the road. FG's also have the launch control that can be set up which helps alot when coming to gettin these barges off the line. But as stated at the end of the day your eventually going to find the next weakest link at the strip. -
Ba Turbo. 'grenade' Engine. True Or Not?
matt036 replied to patrol_maverick's topic in Engine Workshop
Making the trip to a good tuner would be your best bet bud. I travel 7 hours to get to my tuner, 430rwkw on BA motor still goin strong. As others have stated it all comes down the tune which I feel its whats held mine together. But as I said I travel just over 7 hours to get there. -
There was always this for the budding lego builder. http://www.thehollywoodgossip.com/2014/01/christy-mack-porn-star-offers-blow-job-for-best-lego-creation/ Too bad it got sh*t canned lol http://www.uproxx.com/webculture/2014/01/bad-news-fellas-porn-star-christy-macks-lego-contest-isnt-happening/

Nah bud, mines a BA Mk2 so still plasticine rods in it. Definatly not bf. Mate if you plannin on goin bigger later then you might as well get the parts that will support it now, saves buying twice and when the time comes one less thing to buy.

TBRE - Tony Bellert Race Engines. Try searching that. Builds an epic motor that's for sure
-
Mines making 570hp atw on a stock engine and 6 speed manual. Although by all means I wouldnt call it safe though, I just pushed its limits and so far still going. I did do it on e85 though to try and give it a fighting chance. Personally it comes down to the tune, ive heard of some blowing up with no more than 300kw and have heard of others with 330kw running for years. But as was already said, you play you'll eventually pay.

Found my timeslip it was a 12.19 actually and I would have been making about 350 - 360kw at the time as my valve springs were farked. Was also running achilles 123s 17s. -
Yeah bud im down for the whole month. Ill pm you closer to when I head down, would be good to catch up at harrys one night.
-
Yeah just pretty much frys tyres in the first 3 gears lol have been taking it easy though until I get the retune on it in march.
-
It was only runnin 18psi on the 430kw e85 and 19psi on the 98 tune. It is overboosting at the moment to about 20psi now though as I installed a new turbo core and the actuator preload has increased.
-
As old mate said its a 6 speed manual. Only bf series 1 is when they started the 6 speed auto.
-
Gday mate, nah just factory 6 speed trans and motor internally is stock as a rock except for valve springs. My engine is a bit of a freak though it seems as when I did my 98 tune it made 360rwkw relativly easy without leaning on it hard at all. But I decided to go e85 for bigger power as its a little more forgiving and touch wood its been good to date. Biggest thing is if your choosing to push a ba motor is to give it every fighting chance so all good parts and going exhaust, intake and cooler and decent fuel system and a quality tuner, my fuel system setup alone which was injectors, surge, pump, reg and braided lines was $2300 all up. The motor must still be taking it as last night I gave it a 2nd gear roll on and it gripped up for once and then bang!
-
haha yeah they go alright. Nice set of forgies would be the go with some roses as well
-
Yeah there great, whenever they bend I just pull them out and mould them back into shape and go again haha yeah cant wait to finally have a decent crack at the strip.
-
Ill pm you if hes interested, if you dont hear from me just sell it lol
