  1. Yeah was still fun, kept gettin paired up agaisnt 250s so was fun smashin them lol still not too shabby runnin 10s on my daily though.
  2. Took the R1 out to the strip again on Friday. Ive changed the front sprocket back to a stock 17t from a 15t and best run of the night was my first run which was a 10.90 @ 133mph with a 1.9 60ft. Every other run after that I cocked the start up or just went slower. Ive come to the conclusion im too much of a spud a tryin to launch and race a bike so ill stick to cars lol
  3. Im paying 1.64 for bp98 and end of last year was at around 1.75 a litre. Farkin bullsh*t, keen to get the new ute on e85 asap
  4. I managed to pick up a 17t gear off ebay with less than 1000k for 15 bucks posted. Gunna chuck it on before the next test n tune and see how much of a difference it makes.
  5. Oh yeah true well dave in mackay would be your best closest option. As said earlier with a decent tune and some et streets you should be crackin 10sec passes no worries.
  6. As far as I'm concerned you shouldn't be sacrificing your tune by how close the tuner is away from you instead of how good they actually are. I live in Gladstone and traveled 7 hours down to see Jamie at Forced because he was the only one I trusted to push my ba and have a decent tune that'll hold it together and it did so was definitely worth the trip.
  7. So do you reckon I should get hold of a stock 17t sprocket and put back on to see how it goes?
  8. I <3 Bananas that's awsome times jet! yeah I know I need to just keep practicing. I did what you said and topped the tank up before I went for a little bit of help to keep the front end down. The r1's come stock with a 17t front sprocket and mine has a 15t so its really snappy and loves picking the front wheel up. I think that may be affecting my 60ft a bit. I did watch a lot of the guys on street bikes and they were starting with really high revs actually then when they clutched out it dropped back then off they went. Might have to give it a try.
  9. Had another go at the strip the other night. Managed a 10.923 @ 136mph. Ill be fuked if I can get under a 2.0s 60 ft though. Tried everything but just keeps wanting to pick front wheel up even rolling it off the line. WOT in first just lifts it lol
  10. Last time my old car was at rdp, before I left I was told it was a grenade. It may last 3 days it may last 6 months and that was only with 330rwkw. Changed to Jamie at Forced Performance and never looked back. I went e85 setup and pushed over 400kw on ba motor and never had an issue.
  11. Haha thanks heaps for that mate. I knew I had to lean forward and ride the clutch to some extent but that's detailed as hell and helps out alot. Its a different ball game to launching cars but so much funner on a bike I rekon. I know I wasnt nearly giving it enough cause it wasnt even tryin to lift the front wheel but on the street its always trying to pick the front up.
  12. I took my r1 out for a cut at the drags the other night. First time ever racing a bike at the strip so there were no miracles lol only got 2 runs in all night as the timing gear was playing up most of the night. https://youtu.be/7VXilckWm3Y Im headin out to try again on friday night. Should easily crack a 10 but anyone got any advice for novice at the strip on a bike lol raced the car plenty of times though
  13. that's the real dyno dip in the power curve. A trademark of there tunes trying to control boost and failing.
  14. Yeah will do it no worries.
  15. Man that super duke looks sh*t hot! definitely on the list for potential next bikes.
  16. Yeah hopefully next year, gettin a house early next year so the car had to go for now but will be back in a falcon of some sort next year id say.
  17. Sold it and watched it drive off down the road :(
  18. Not buying anything right away at this stage. Probably just enjoy the bike for a while. Looking at buying a housing early in the new year so that has priority at the moment. So id say ill be back in the market mid next year but when the time comes ill be looking at an fg xr6 turbo or possible a late bf tornado.
  19. Took a deposit on the xr, just gotta organise roady :(
  20. Well when I got my bike I rode it round brisbane for 6 weeks on my commute to tafe and back. Had cops and even hway patrol follow me a couple times and not once pulled over. So unless the cop actually knows what hes lookin at I dont think they will do much lol
  21. Yeah the need for the big long mudguards isnt necessary. Ive put a fender eliminator on my r1 cause the stock one looks hiddeous lol
  22. Yeah they released details on the road goin H2 yesterday, heres a link some info and pics on it. http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/630/19449/Motorcycle-Article/2015-Kawasaki-H2-Street-First-Look.aspx
  23. Well Yamaha did there reveal of the new R1 yesterday in Milan. Looks like theyve got some good features on this bike and the obvious that theyre all doing now is lighter and more hp. But cant say im overly fussed on the looks of it. Dunno might grow on me. Heres a link to the full reveal. http://www.mcnews.com.au/2015-yamaha-yzf-r1-full-reveal/
  24. Yeah I had my box out and back in 3 times in a few days. Its a kent when u get everything bolted back in and ready to drop on the ground only to pull it all back out cause the alloy csc was cracked.
