  1. The rocker cover doesn't need to be removed to get to the VCT sensors/solenoid, the coil cover (the black plastic one on top) has to be removed and they sit just in the front of no. 1 coil and are removed with 2 bolts per solenoid. So that would explain to why it doesn't look like the rocker has been removed.
  2. Ugh holidays are over, back to work slaving for fraud.

  3. well went for a drive today and dont think its the mixture shaft anymore as its changing where the air is going fine again but now on the drivers side one minute itll be cold then the next like just outside so I think it maybe a gassing issue or something else so I'm gunna get it looked at.
  4. Its not hot air just seems like ambient air from the outside, but like I said its also not blowing on the feet and like when I used to cycle through the different settings of where I wanted the air to come out out u could here a slight clicking in the dash of it changing but now there's nothing. I might pull it all out next week after holidays and have a look, if not it'll be a trip down to ford to get it looked at. Thanks for replies.
  5. Mines in a BA mk2, and I was also thinking possibly a mixture shaft cause I went for another drive before and set it to come out at the feet as well and it was barely coming out on the passenger side and was coming out hot at mine like it is out of the passenger dash vents.
  6. Just wondering if anyone could possibly shed some light on whats going on with my air con. Its a dual zone ICC and the passenger side isnt coming out cold anymore, like the drivers side is fine nice and cold but not the passenger. I had a bit of a read on here and did what some members had already suggested like check the fuses and I also noticed that the thermo fans are on but not going anywhere near as hard as they normally do with the A/C on so I checked and changed all the fan relays and what not and still nothing. If anyone might have any idea that would be great to hear.
  7. dont know if anyone could help me but I installed one today and followed foxtrots instructions, used a 5 pin changeover and followed it all to a T but now my doors wont lock at all just cycles again to the unlocked position, anyone have any idea?
  8. Here are a couple pics of the install along the way, as Brandon said if you follow supplied instructions supplied its not to hard. The picture with the wires sticking out, there's a pink wire more pulled out than the rest which is the trigger wire to the pump which we just tapped into (hint for finding it was set your multimeter to beep when it creates a circuit, pull out the fuel pump relay out of the relay block then pierce into the wire slightly with one end and touch into the terminals where the relay pushes into and if it beeps its the fuel pump trigger wire) . All tests were performed along the way with the help of a multimeter and yeah at the end all was sweet. Sorry we didnt get more pics kept forgetting about the camera along the way and just took pictures at stages but if you need any questions asked where happy to answer them to the best of our ability. Edit: Will also post up pics of the plenum install when we do that on sunday.
  9. Im helping him with the install and we'll take photos of steps of it then and any issues we may run into along the way lol

hey just out of curiosity how much did your RDP exhaust cost as I get my car tuned there and am looking to just get one of there's as im trying to work out my budget at the moment, cheers.
  12. Hey id be interested in an option 2 in nitro, I've already got an option 6 on my back window and can pop up a pick for anyone interested.
  13. yeah well I ended up just cutting into that rubber bit as it slipped over the top piece alright but not the rest of the body of the stick and I thought it may have been alright but it was to tight and pulled it out of 2nd and 4th when not under load but yeah its a really great feeling shifter.
  14. hi, well I got my MGW shifter this arvo and the first thing I noticed as others have the quality was awesome couldn't fault it nor the service from MGW themselves or the shipping time which only took a week. Apart from the fact it took 4 hours from start to finish to get it on. I wanted to retain my stock gear knob so that took the longest cause the new straight handle handle was 12mmx1.75 thread and the stock one was much smaller so finding a tap and die set with the right ones and doing a few tests and then actually doing the shift knob took about 2.5 hours of mucking about and then the fitting after that was fine me and a mate had done one before. First thing though was this felt awesome, my mate has the malwood shifter and I thought it was nice but he even commented on how this one was nice and tight and short. Did some spirited driving tests afterwards didn't miss third once or any gear for that matter apart from the fitting and mucking around side of it and if you were just getting someone else to fit it I would highly recommend them great shifters.
  15. Saw heading through Gympie today a purple BA xr6t with no. plates 800ST or something like that, that's all I caught of it and had a reasonable sized cooler in the front as well, not sure if there a member on here or not.
  16. thanks for that, love the sound, I really am keen on one now.
  17. I was wondering if anyone with one of these systems would be able to put a sound clip up as im quite interested in hearing what one sounds like as a couple of you have said they sound great.
  18. Not to intrude on your post but here's a couple more I thought were amusing; What did the spectator miss when he went to the toilet? The entire Australian Innings. Whats the difference between Ricky Ponting and a Phoenix? At the end of the ashes, the phoenix still has a future. On his way out to the middle to bat, Ricky Ponting gets a call from his wife and team mate Michael Hussey tells her he's heading out to bat. His wife replies: "I'll hold, he won't be long!"
  19. Well on that note, as I am in SEQ which exhaust shop does everyone favour around these parts? or a reputable one to put one together? As its my next mod and I don't just wanna jump in with any old system, wanna make sure I get what I pay for sorta thing as I've been stung before with previous cars.
  20. Just out of curiosity how much would a full one of these system's set you back?
  21. sorry, thought someone may stumble across here and maybe have an idea as it sounds like a similar thing.
  22. Mines also a ba manual as well and the springs havent been touched, only recently tuned to but doesnt do it all the time only every now and then when really flogging it through most of the gears it starts missing and farting and carrying on. Could it be Springs?
  23. Yeah the weather is nuts, im up in Gympie and its finally starting to ease here but its a complete island cant get in or out. Makes it worse cant rape the T as the bp is on the other side of the water but yeah has been flooded here for about 5 days now only hit major 2 days ago. What happened at Toowoomba was pretty wild to that many people missing and already dead kinda crazy.
  24. I had this exact problem, was giving me the sh*ts but I asked the same question what it could be and everyone said custom tune and it was the best thing I could of done. So would suggest that look around on here for a reputable tuner in your area cause they would have seen most problems with these cars and know what to do and they'll get the best gains out of your mods and your car.
  25. +1 for the throwover seat covers, instead of using silly drift ones and what not from the local Autobarn.
