  2. Hey guys, just got myself a 50th anniversary xr6 ute, now im having a bit of trouble working out what kind of diff it has in it, as it has no tag or info on the diff itself being an n/a xr6 I believe it would have an m80? but not sure, if anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated.\ Cheers, Sam.
  3. Hey, RDP in brissy tuned it about 3 years ago, also something to look out for if u get cams is I havent heard many good things about the crow cams they sell on ebay n that, if u where to get cams id ring around and make sure what you buy is going to make the gain worth it, might not ever be worth it in an n/a but it would be worth while doing. Cheers, sam
  4. as title states, just after 1. Cheers, sam
  5. Hey mate, just a head up, if there a 20" rim 245x35 profile wont fit on the front.. I had to get a 30 on the front of, it hits on the control arm. but the rears should be fine
  6. hmm ok, I had it in at ford on the weekend with a mate, run the ids through the system and found a number of minor faults that would not make the engine light come on(so he tells me) , it did fix it though, until about 1klm away from home and it popped up again. Another thing is that when I run the flash tuner through it, it turns off, and then on the 2ND startup after I run the flash on it, it turns on about 20 seconds of engine running. f*cked sensor somewhere maybe that the IDS doesnt detect? im not sure, but I will be in at ford this coming friday for a more experienced tech to have a look, Cheers, sam.
  7. Hey mate.. I'd also have to say just get a custom tune for now, as it will improve your performance sh*tloads.. I have half your mods and consistantly make over 180rwkw, its good fun smashing sv6's all night.. 285's on the rear help alot for traction
  8. No new mods where added, just the usual exhaust and tune. What does it do if I disconnect the battery and turn the headlights on??
  9. Hey guys as the title states, my engine light has been on for the past month I would say, its an N/A xr6, just wondering what it could be. In the past it had come on but then gone away after a few more k's, not so this time. car has done over 100,000k 's not sure if this would have anything to do with it or not. cheers, guys, Sam
  10. For anyone interested I have had a local mechanic look at this. He is nearly 100% sure that its my clutch plate that is buggered, he said the springs and all that just get sad and dont like to do there job. Will be replacing it in the coming weeks, Cheers for the input. Sam.
  11. Thanks guys for the info. I thought it might be synchro's aswell, but how it happened didnt seem like it could support that.. Now with the car back together I noticed the higher I rev the engine the harder it gets to puch my clutch in. Car is drivable but difficult. Thanks, Sam.
  12. Hey mate, I have 2 12" subs in my ute, one sits behind the passenger and the other behind the drivers seat, ill take some piccies for you when I get home from work and upload them, pumps hard, made 142db in the comp I went in.. im nearly 6 foot, but I did lose quite a bit of seat adjestment.. nothing you cant get used to though
  13. Hey guys, for anyone interested I replaced the csc last night and it has no fixed my problem - I did put an alloy one in, as ford quoted $400+ for theres. It's got me beat to what it could be, also thought I'd let you know how this happened, was at the drags, did a burnout, the clutch pedal went rock solid for about 5 seconds, I then had to pump the pedal about 10 or so times to get the clutch working again. Hope that info helps some of the experts as im stumped.. Any help is appreciated, Cheers, Sam.
  14. Tried bleeding it, no such luck. Bit the bullet yesterday and pulled the box out, went to the local mechanics where he has a new slave on the shelf, the one from my car had about half the amount of movement as a new one. bought it and will be fitting it this arvo.. ill keep you updated as to whether it worked or not. Cheers, Sam.
  15. Hey guys just wondering if anyone can shed some light on my problem, whilst the car is running it is very difficult to change gears whilst the clutch is in - of course. there doesnt seem to be anything wrong with my clutch as it grabs and doesnt slip at all, while the car isnt running its as easy as it always has been to change gears. Maybe the clutch slave cylinder has let go and not engaging the clutch to its full capacity? I'm no expert, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Sam.
  16. Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has bout one of these clutchs, the one I am looking at is from E-bay - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/XTREME-HD-CLUTCH-FORD-FALCON-6-CYL-BA-BF-XR6-TURBO-/380305412833?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item588bf812e1 Just thought I'd ask before I bought in case someone has been burnt before and could save a bit of hassle.. Cheers, Sam.
  17. Hey guys just wondering, if I buy he 1" blocks from ebay which have the warning about needing over 17" rims, does that actually count if I already have lowered springs? only ask is I go to the drags every now and again and use my 16" rims to burn the rubber. any help is appreciated, cheers

  19. Hey guys I know this will probably get transferred to the suspension thread, but just wondering if anyone at all has experienced axle tramp in a bf ute. If so I am just wondering you have fixed and how you did it, heard of many ways but never anyone who has tried it, running 235/40/18 tyres on the rear, should sping them up quite easily, the ute is lowered in pedders springs and shocks, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Sam.
