Has anyone removed the front roof console of the current Falcon sedan (assume the same for all)? Or should I say "Is this as difficult as I think??" I made the mistake of removing the sunglass cup from the console in order to enlarge its cutout (smaller than the equivalent on my BF Ghia) but it is impossible to refit due to the need to co-ordinate assembly of spring, damper gear and cam arm whilst inserting cup. So even if I bite the bullet and spend the quoted $331 on a new console assembly it appears that the whole roof lining has to be removed to fit it (the console is fixed from above ie 4 screws are inserted through a metal pressing in the roof lining cavity down into the console apparently before the roof lining is installed . I have managed to removed the rear 2 screws but the front 2 are impossible to get at ) Hopefully there is a simple point I'm missing (other than the dumb choice of removing the cup)
