  1. Yeah, well..... add another one to the list.
  2. Similar mods except I havent changed plenum, or installed a surge tank yet, as Worm touched on above the only hold back I have is a little lag from time to time usually in 2nd gear as I'm still on standard actuator/housing, pushing 311rwkw on 14psi only other diff the T56. For some reason I don't seem to get surge even under 1/4 tank, in which I probably just jinxed it.
  3. TB it could be, changed my trottle body too and no avail.. I'm still going with the coils and turning the A/C on will make it worse as it's putting more load on it when it's already struggling
  4. I'd say fkn stoked is an understatement, I really doubt you could find the right words as they wouldn't exist. nice package champ... very nice I feel the envy bug coming on
  5. For me this was the initial sign that my coil packs were dying, after 2 days of that it started misfiring as it come on boost which was basically confirmation they were dying once I swapped them out all good
  6. Have you configured the setup on the X3 itself to actually use the PID file you uploaded instead of the default diesel.dlf/gasonline.dlf
  7. Nuts, just bought an X3 for the T this morning, and was contemplating whether to change the X1 for the ute as well while I was there, but I won't be needing a retune on the ute for a while so I didn't bother. I hate how xcal's only hold one car. Here's an idea someone make an OBDII cable that will plug into an iPhone data port build an iphone tuning app then we can hold as many tunes as you can hold on 60Gb and end up with a device that's still more powerful than what the tuning companies give you. Brings new meaning to iTunes btw I want 5% of profits from iTunes appstore sales. actually I'm not that greedy even 1% would do, then you could be Nokia and charge a squillion dollars for the cable.
  8. Go with the Auto, only reason is the service manager at Thomson Ford was telling me those buying new FG's especially the GT buyers were complaining about the noise in the new box being much like the T56, if it really is, (can't really confirm haven't driven a manual one yet) then you don't want it. I have the 4Spd auto in my ute and I have plenty of fun in that, if only it had the 6spd
  9. If the Sensation one is still up for grabs I'll take it until the next order goes in. let me know the details for payment etc etc
  10. Green XR6T Ute on the M4 bout 40 mins ago, one crazy SOB,If you're on here you almost had an XR6T-Camry on the death change champ you were inches from taking the front end.
  11. I'll gladly jump on board... stinging for a cruise..
  12. Grrrr I noticed...gutted.. soo get back on board and lets do another one for the poor fools like me that missed out
  13. C'mon kids...... it must be time for another cruise... I missed the last one and it seems the 21/05 didn't occur sooooo Who's up? don't care what date just put one out there...... I.e. 16th or 17th June, c'mon get onboard lets go for a cruise!!!!
  14. Thank you for clarifying, that makes complete sense, I didn't even think of a security dongle being part of the package, so basically it's monopolised to force us to play ball. Have to admit that is a well structured model.
  15. I'm not sure how the software licensing for tuning software actually works, but in theory (and correct me please if I am wrong) if the tuner already has the software they can still tune the car as they can still "talk" to the box. as long as they have paid for the software and own the license, then there is no major issue, the issue being that if the xcal-1 or the tuning software screws up then you simply have nowhere to go to get it repaired/unlocked or software upgrades etc etc. no doubt in the next software upgrade the option to program an xcal-1 will be removed but that can be defeated by having a copy of the software on a laptop left at a version that communicates with the xcal-1 and apply no future software updates. surely tuners have multiple laptops with the software and don't rely on a single machine or break out an old one. I'm keen to understand how the licensing for tuning software works. and as for a class action, doesn't selling the devices within the last 12 months nullify the fact that 18 months ago they warned/wanted to kill them off sales should have ceased there and then. So therefore imo a class action should be possible or they bite it and do a free upgrtade to the x2 or x3 for those who who can provide a receipt for purchase in the last 12 months.... that said I'm no lawyer maybe *Beep*'s sis could add some insight
  16. Occasionaly on the M4 I see a 4x4 Hilux with " <----- KEEP LEFT UNLESS OVERTAKING - THIS MEANS YOU DICK_ _ _ _!! " makes me laugh everytime I see him
  17. Done, thx lads pick it up in an hour or so
  18. I'll give you a buzz around 9:00am, your pm box is full
  19. I've contacted Chris and haven't had a reply from him
  20. I've heard the LS1's were built in Mexico to a very sloppy tolerance and as a result each engine is inconsistent, they seem to experience different problems engine to engine mostly to do with oil leaks in random locations. other than that haven't heard to many complaints.
  21. Yes and No, Yes the code in the signal is randomly generated. and No, you would have to capture quite a bit of data before you could decode the encrypted signal.
  22. This is the same typical mistake that we always make with new technologies, I'm surprised they didn't reverse engineer the remote unlocking system to obtain a wireless connection the the vehicle. As in this example they are physically connected to the vehicle. I'm not at all surprised with what they could achieve once they obtained access.
  23. I get my T back on the 14th, 21/05 sounds good to me any other takers???
