Hey guys, hope all is well.... I have this noise that seems to come on from time to time and its starting to get annoying. Im not to sure what it is but to describe it for it sounds like a very light sort of poping/crackling sound, almost like the sound of boiling hot water. It sometimes sounds like a exhaust rattle but the other day I listened to it closley and as I went up on a steep drive way, the sound shifted as if it was liquid moving??? Its as if you were to rub togetehr a plastic lollie rapper together. My dealer told me he tightened the heat shield screws which did jack (standard) and the sound still lives... The car is an FG XRT All help will be apprieciated Cheers!

Ok Fellas this is the deal... I have done some minor mods to the car as you can see in my signature but nothing to serious. The reason this is, is because my car has only drive 5000km's and is still fresh. Now my question to you all is.. Do I start the works and put a tune in etc.... OR do I purchase an xr8 bonnet & g6e style bootlid? I can only do one or the other at the moment. Should I wait to hit another 5000km's before I start doing any pef work? So Performance or Style? All help will be appreciated. Cheers

looks good, still havnt seen one in melb yet.... They make it obvious when coming down the production line that it is a cop car. Only so they know tune them better, more boost ect...

Hey guys sorry if this has been covered... My Fg Xr6t fans come on after a 10 min drive (crusing). They stay on for about 1 minuet. Is this normal? I would think they are only suppose to come on after a long drive on a hot day or a short drive of pushing the pedal... Its just annoying. All help would be appriciated. Cheers

Yer I thought so, I just wasnt sure if trimming it was the right thing to do, but that's the only option really. Its just that little buldge on the inner of the bonnet that's pushing it down. Did you put a xr8 intake in yours? Any pics? Cheers

Hey guys appologies if this has been covered b4. I recently installed a xr8 intake on my xrt and all instalation went well except the bonnet is very hard to close due to its larger size. The guy from spare parts said he fit one strait in on his one. Has anyone installed this? All help would Be appreiciated! Thanks

Sorry guys im going to have to bail on this one! I went to grab a beer form the fridge last night and as I closed the fridge door I read an invitation for my little cousin’s baptism. Yer thought so, I think in between 3000 - 5000kms I should spot all the faults if any which I could get fixed under warranty. The engine should be run in after that and wont have a problem carrying a bit more stress than standard. Thanks Guys! Appreciate It!

I have clocked up about 1400 kms on my new FG XR6T and want to know how long till its healthy before I start tuning it and doing other mods. Should I wait until its first service 3000km's? All help would be appreciated. Thanks Guys!
