    More Bf Info

A mate of mine is a Ford engineer in Geelong and he said that Ford are on a good wicket with the current BA shape. A memo was sent round about 6 months ago reconfirming that Ford will maintain there current BA shape until end of 2007..... They added that they did not want to get negative feedback from current BA owners and unlike Expensive Daewoo which changes its shape every 12 months (albeit very minor changes with new releases) they are conscious of trying to maintain resale value. Anyway, these were his words and so far he has been spot on with things in the past..... Dont break my balls if you dont believe him !!! Make up your own mind..........
  4. After numerous dyno runs (about 10- 12 big runs in an hour, is it normal for boost to be reduced due to numerous factors including stock Intercooler etc? After going back to Autotechnique tonight, Mario did bloody awesome work and got the T to exactly 250RWKW's.......... Await peoples feedback........ cheers Dutchie
  5. Did u read my earlier post a few days ago what I did to a 285 Senator!!!???
  6. As StreetTuner mentioned in my posting on this Forum with regards to the clicking......he stated that its perfectly normal for Edited BA's to have the clicking coming from the Boost Selenoids....... He stated there are 2 ways of tuning the edit and both are correct ways. One way to tune makes the clicking sound, the other does'nt. There is nothing wrong and apparently does no harm....... So no need to worry about the clicking it seems...........
  7. I did several internet searches on Google and there were free downloads available which measure all this for you!!! I was in a similar circumstance last week.........but I decided to stick with 17's....unfortunately money was the issue......

    My New Tyres

Hi Craig, Well done mate................these sound bloody awesome.....sh*t......and I was getting excited about my tyres......F&%K...... Mine are imports also from the U.S but half the cost..... Mate, cant wait to see these one....they look great....... How is the traction in the wet with these???
  9. Another way is to be honest and up front with the Service Manager...... that's what afew of us have done and so far no problems...... I think once you go over 250-260RWKW's you will need to start making some more changes on the car.....ie Harden the auto, bigger injectores, springs etc then yes, you may have some problems with warranty........BUT if you are simply going the Edit with perhaps filter and exhaust and getting anywhere from 240-250RWKW's and mentioning this to your dealer, you may be O'K...... The trick is too get a good relationship with the service manager as mentioned before......anyway......my 2 bobs worth......ohh and get the custom tune done.......its really your insurance......... IMO, there is now such thing as a stock edit as ever single car it different, the fuel you use is different, and the many variables in mods is diff even if this is a stock T.......

    New Exhaust

Hi Vibe Ute........I actually did before going the Edit......... First I removed the Centre Muffler and replaced it with Dual 2 1/2" S/Steel pipes and hotdogs as well as MagnaFlow dual 2 1/2" S/Steel tips...... Before this fitting I got 162RWKW's........I know this is low. but this was from a dyno that's renowned to be approx 20RWKS's lower then everyone elses..... Then after the fitting and replacing the filter with a BMC as well, the dyno got 181RWKW's....... Then once the CAPA was installed, I got 242RWKS.....(that's around 250-250RWKW's) Hope this helps........
  11. Thanks Street Tuner, muchly appreciated..... My CAPA Edit is only 3 weeks old and was custom tuned by a reputable tuner... Thanks guys for all the feedback........so far, no issues now and very happy...
  12. How boring then !!!! Must look the same as everyone elses then in a car park ??
  13. Thanks Adam, So this is normal then I assume........?? Sound like an old wrist watch ticking....... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes Marcel it's normal don't stress about it <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks Big Fella..........starting to feel paranoid at the moment and listening to every little bitty bit of noice........ Need a drink........parents coming in a minute and taking the car for a spin against my dad new Audi turbo A6.........who will faster I wonder??
  14. Thanks Adam, So this is normal then I assume........?? Sound like an old wrist watch ticking.......
  15. One more thing, I have had my plugs gaped to .9mm as well......... And I only noticed this........mind you, seems to occur when I first start the car (I think)............ Otherwise, everything is very smooth and nice.....
  16. Initial clicking noise is caused by the wastegate solenoid I think but after I drive away, it stops and I dont notice it for the rest of the day...........(I think) Is this normal? Does everyone have this with the Edit? Just curious......
  17. Mate, the Sunshade of the rear is their for my daughter at the moment with the baby do-da facing the other way and she looks straight into the sun....... As for the black corner bumpers, I learnt my lesson while ago with 2 cars being hit at a shopping centre..........One was a F&^%king trolley, the other was a d#ickhead driver taking my corner and misjudging......... Few months back, a car actually hit me at the front this time........simply hit the small bumper......NO DAMAGE......I'm keeping them their.........!! It also breaks up the blue a bit......IMO
  18. Have we seen a pic of yours yet? How about throwing one up for us? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just changed them for 18's.........what do you think now!!!
  19. Thanks JetUte & Turbo6man, Another member just PM'd me with axactly the same comments.........gotta love it..... Funny thing, with these new Firestones Wide Ovals, they actually look larger and wider hence the name of the tyre..... In real and standing next to the car you would honestly think they were 18's but because the car is on a bit of an angle, and I was taking this foto in the rain, I was in a hurry... Maybe if it stops for a bit tomorrow, I might take another shot at her whilst she is straight...still, I cant complain.....Mags were on sale for $1000 down from $1400 and I picked the tyres from Bridgestone for $900......... Motorsport also gave me $500 for my wheels......so I only paid $500 for them brand new including fitting and balance......... so $1400 all up for the lot..... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As long as you are happy, that's what counts mate. How much is the block of land next door to you going for? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> just a few days... the area will be classed as flood prone... shouldnt be too much after that <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They just reduced it to $200K........real bargain......!!! If you hurry, it will be a swimming pool within a week......
  20. Thanks JetUte & Turbo6man, Another member just PM'd me with axactly the same comments.........gotta love it..... 21. No probs.........I like them and that's what counts...........George, you saw them in the flesh...how did they look to you.....??
  22. Yeah I know but they were $$$$ in 19's tyres and the wife simply said 17's or nothing.......I cant complain as I already spend heaps $$$MULA with the CAPA Edit & doing the Exhaust stuff......unfortunately, these wheels only come in 17"s..and I feel for them straight away.... I wont complain though..........
  23. Motorsport in Doveton, Melbourne, have one of the largest supplies of mag wheels and they also buy your wheels if they are in great condition........ They are 17 X 8 HR Racing, The design is MSport 147 Shadow Chrome.......with the new Firestone Firehawk Wide Ovals tyres.... Let me know what you think.......
  24. Ever since I saw them on the commodore, I have changed my mind........ What do you think of my new choice?? ***EDIT ... Q removed - you already have this covered in your other thread. Also tell me what you think.....

    Mag Wheels

I must be tired............its all Double Dutch to me at the moment........ Maybe I'm stupid but I thought that if you have an 235mm tyre you need to have a 235mm (9") mag?? This seems like its not the case.......:( Perhaps my post should read: Will a 235/45/17 tyre fit on a 17 X 7 mag?
