After the TV show Today Tonight and how now one pays attention to car alarms, I was wondering if I should spend another $500-$600 to get an alarm with ultrasonics etc etc? is it really worth all the hassle if I already use a Club, Have the standard ignition cutoff and lock nuts for the wheels?? Would like everyones opinion please? As some forums have stated, if they really want your car, they will get it. Alarm is also useless against those ar@%*holes who want to do just damage to your new beast.........Only othe roption is a Rojone with dialler. Hi All, Are there any clubs around for XR6T dudes in Melbourne. I'm waiting for my new XR6T being built and should have the keys end May. Would really like to take my young son along too, so nothing raunchie. Any day trips anywhere??!!! cheers dutchie

The specs for the new car.........May biuld 2004, Premium Sound, Auto, Sunroof, Towbar, 18".......Blueprint, Tinted Windows, Rear Windscreen Sunguard, Alarm with Rojone....... Long bloody wait though ...........cant sleep at night..........tossing, turning, calling out 'XR' in my sleep...........need help........

Some sites/forums around have mentioned that becuase of the electronics with BA Falcons, you cannot add a after market alarm, hifi etc...... Anyone care to comment and in particular, if anyone has installed an aftermarket alarm system with/without any problems. cheers dutchie

Congrats on your new toy !!! I too have just purchased my new car last week and will hopefully have it in 6 weeks time........ These chat forums are awesome and I have learnt a lot especially since I'm not really a petrol head as such. Also fallen in love with Ford as I was a Euro & Japanese car lover. That was until a work collegue drove me in his XR6T to a Xmas function. I've been hooked ever since and finally convinced my wife that we had to get rid of her car, she would now get the 2000 Magna Sports and guess who gets to drive the XR6T???!!! ciao for now dutchie
