  1. Thanks anyway buddy, I ended up using the cig lighter as my trigger.
  2. Thanks buddy, Ill give the different earth a try, however I don't see how mine is wrong as the seat bolt is through to the body of the car and I stripped back heaps of wire and wedged it inbetween the seat bolt and a large washer which is nice and tight, I also tried with a propper connection I dont believe was as good as what is currently installed. Ill try near the jack though and see how I go, thanks again
  3. Good Morning All, Where is everyone earthing their amps? I have just done a sub amp install in my FG Ute and the amp stays on the the subs cut in and out, I am going to try a different amp just to make sure that isnt the problem but it would be good to see where everyone has earthed their amps. At the moment mine is earthed the one of the bolts in the passenger seat. I am running two 6.5inch JL Audio tube subs which wouldnt draw to much power and I am also using 4 gauge wire. Thanks in advance! Cheers Dave
  4. Thanks for the install picks and info, they have really helped... I just have one question, where did you run your trigger cable for the amp? I was thinking about trying the cig lighter? Thanks for your help Dave
  5. I have mentioned it before have a chat to someone who supply the Audison Bit one, maybe tell them to stand by their product and if it dies not work then you will not pay? I have seen it in other cars and it worked perfectly. I dont know if I am going to bother with a new amp to the fronts, I may just buy a set of speakers in right power range to runn of the stock system and run an amp with a sub, a couple of people on here seem happy with this option. Ill let you know how I go with my setup
  6. No I dont work for the companies I am just trying to help out, I had my stereo installed on another car by No Limit and they did a great job, while I was there they were tuning a bitone on another customers car. It sounds like a problem on the FG and I think the Bitone would be a solution, It is certainly a solution I am considering should I choose to run splits off an amp and not just the head unit which is why I was wanting to know if the stock head unit was able to run aftermarket speakers and if so, how much power does it supply? I have seen the bitone work in other cars and considering no one here has found a solution in the FG which works properly it is worth a shot. I can see how my post looked like a bit of an ad though Cheers Dave
  7. Hi guys, I just bought an FG XR6 Turbo ute with lux pack (inc prem sound)and hopefully take delivery next week, I have been keeping an eye on these threads as even the salesman said the premium sound is terrible. Has anyone tried an Audisone Bitone? Audison - Music Expression I have seen these work in a few cars and they are a bloody good bit of gear! If in Melbourne, No Limit car audio sell them and the people that supply them are; RM Audio If you need any info I suggest you call them and have a chat about it as I think it is a neater stock looking solution and everything will run off the factory head unit. I was thinking about getting some aftermarket speakers to run off the stock head unit and wiring in an amp for a sub, do you think this will be ok? Or is the stock head unit really that bad? Thanks Dave
