Am looking at a sunroof for my BA, just wanted to know something. My mate has a written off BA with a sunroof from factory, would it be any cheaper taking that out of his car, or just paying for a new one?

No I haven't had an accident, I spoke to vicroads today and got a exemption from the high powered vehicles law, as long as the car is being driven to/from work? Will this now be covered?

2600 dollars, I'm driving as little as possible any way because its 3 points off your licence if you get caught. It's just so hard to see it in the driveway and not do anything about it.

That's why I was confused they know im on Ps but they still insured me, so they should still pay. Guess not.

Got insurance through Just Car for my BA F6...am I able to make a claim considering I'm on P plates? I'm on them for another 2 months and haven't really been driving it much because I'm unsure if they will pay out a claim or not.

lol @ tyres....fair point. I actually went to torquay the weekend before I picked up the car...driving my missus barina I was shattered, the whole way thinking f*ck I should have waited till next week, good driving down that way.

That's awesome theres just more and more things to like about this car I'm absolutely stoked with it. I recently drove to Torquay from Mornington (350km) in my missus 99 Barina and got 7L/100km on 100km/h freeway the entire way!! Which is about 1L less than a friggin 300rwkw car lol that's just stupid.

I cant believe this...one tank of BP Ultimate...still got half a tank left, have been showing everyone how quick my car is lol, giving it a fair bit of stick plus a little bit of granny driving (70:30), yet computer shows fuel consumption at 14.8L/100km!! I used to get 11L/100km highway and 18L/100km city in me SS....I just like this car more and more...

lol its 307rwkw as it is....quite a handful. Quite a lot quicker than the Expensive Daewoo v8 I used to drive, and quite a lot more fun too these cars are awesome.

Picked up my typhoon on tuesday....insane is the only word I can use to describe it. Have been ringing people just to see if they need a lift anywhere for an excuse to drive it these cars are unreal.

lol ok, I don't pick the car up until tomorrow, don't know much about these have always had Expensive Daewoo aspirated 8s. After looking around, it seems like it's running something more like 12PSI in comparison to other people's power figures.

I ended up going throught Just Car, Shannons didn't really seem to like a younger driver.

ok sounds good might take it back to nizpro and speak to them. Maybe its not running that much boost im not 100%, is there an easy way to find out ?

I think the cooler piping might be a bit of a restriction as it still uses the standard crossover piping.

Apparently it was tuned by nizpro.. Might have another chat to the guy, I thought 17psi was pushing a bit far to be running all the time.

I know this is a fairly stupid question but just want to know. BA 04 Typhoon with following mods: plazmaman cooler, x-force exhaust (4 inch dump, 5 inch cat, twin 2.5), new injectors, nizpro custom edit 307rwkw a realistic figure for 17psi? Is that a safe amount of boost to be running daily?

Am I missing something? There is a lot of members with their plates either as their usernames, or in pics of their ride??

I have the plates F6RCD in vic....trying to think of something better and if can will sell these..

I recently bought a modded BA Typhoon (300rwkw), and got an insurance quote for 2.8k (Young driver, lost licence 3 times before). What interests me is that I listed all mods on Just Car and got this quote, whereas a VY R8 I was interested in (didnt buy, thank god!!) I got a quote for insurance and it come up as 9.5k!!! For a 27k car that's unbelievable. What's the average price everyone else is payng on their FPVs, they seem a lot cheaper than HSVs, maybe its just the whole not a v8 thing.

Then drove the Typhoon and absolutely fell in love what an animal!! These cars are unbelievable why do I not see them everywhere?

Thanks for the advice, I would like a BF but there still a bit pricey. I also really would like a manual and you cant really choose the manual over the ZF so BA it is. Had a look at a couple of BF xr6t's but the Typhoon really feels like something special which I love.

After owning two Expensive Daewoo v8s I'm ready to try my first Ford. Looked at an XR8 wasn't real impressed. Have looked at a couple of BA F6s and they are fkn insane!! This car has converted me. Just wanted to know what people thought, have the option of buying a 300rwkw one or a stock, but cleaner model, both for around $30k. Any thoughts? Anything I should look out for? Thanks.
