    I was the same when I bought mine I'd be sitting there watching tv, constantly looking out the front window at my car. Watched the car more than the tele lol good buy mate

    The only reason I did was because I'm off my Ps in feb, and didn't want to get a car I could drive on my Ps but then be disappointed with when I have my full licence. Driving it to work and back is good so then I don't get tempted (as much) to drive it on weekends. Lucky my boss did write me a note, but being a subcontractor with an ABN I'm pretty sure I could have done it myself.

    How many people have you spoken to at vicroads? They're all a bunch of deadsh*ts who have no clue anyway. Everyone of them says something different.. and this isn't ONLY about exemptions. Various other things aswell. Again.. try apply for an exemption on those grounds. If it gets through I will be in shock It's an automatic exemption at vicroads, you don't have to apply.

    I was told by Vicroads that I can drive my car to work, as long as I can prove to the Police if I do get pulled over that I am in fact driving the car to/from work. They didn't say anything about why did you buy a turbo etc?, all I needed was a letter from my employer saying that I was in fact driving to work.

    Yeah that would be awesome...I like the fact that its a turbo six but still looks exactly like an aussie muscle car should, big and mean.

    I dunno, for them to at least to be able to keep up?? I drove his and it was like taking a massive step backwards...not much down low...and dies in the ass in the top end. Sounds nice but no go. So glad I didnt go the VY R8 I was gunna buy

    Has anyone here driving a modified typhoon ever been beaten? My mate picked up his new car yesterday, VX Clubsport with 290rwkw, doesn't even come close to my 300rwkw typhoon. He launches better and then gets absolutely mauled.

    jewellers screwdriver? Would a normal one work just as well? I kept trying to lever them out with 2 normal flatheads, but could only get them out about 5mm.

    Is there a trick to getting the dam black plastic screws out? Tried using force but don't really want to break anything.

    upgraded from a VR SS 150rwkw...to a 04 phoon with 307rwkw just a little bit quicker lol

    I'm not married, but do live with the missus. Managed to hide for two whole days the fact that I even bought a typhoon by just telling her and her parents I bought "just a ford six".

    Lol guess not on the insurance. I'll look into getting one of those kits and I was also interested, does anybody else have a turbo timer on their car? Have been looking at a couple just as a bit of extra protection. Thanks for all your advice, I ended up getting it done at Nizpro, was ready the next day, pretty happy with that. Pick it up Monday can't wait.

    I'm not sure if all was fine, I only just bought the car. Car has been there before that's why it went back there. He said they noticed it was making a noise when they put it on the dyno. Might as well get it done there now, and shop around next time.

    Would it be worth paying the extra for a new one? Last longer etc??

    Yeah they look like they know what there doing from the cars that were there...If it is repairable, would they not know that? Would there be any reason they would not offer that? Sorry for all the stupid questions I'm new to turbo cars.

    They said the bearings were stuffed or something?? I was pretty inclined to question it, but I noticed Nizpro seems to be a fairly decent joint, anyone think otherwise? Are they doing the right thing??

    It's not under warranty I bought it 2nd hand...I took it to Nizpro yesterday, they rang today said it was all fine just wanted to chuck it on the dyno and check it out, then got a phone call later saying the turbo was making a weird noise and needs replacing. Not happy, only done 500km in the car since purchase.

    Took my car in for its 75k service...needs new turbo :( apparently bearings are stuffed....shattered.
