  1. I asked the guys who are going to do the work on my fg f6 and they pointed me in the direction of a turbo smart blow off valve so I am going in that direction
  2. I recently had a quote done for my fg f6 I have ordered and noticed that the piping for the engine and plenum where all in black or not polished when I asked for a quote they told me that recently there customers had been complaining of trouble from the boys in blue when they were pulled over. I love the look of a detailed engine bay and think it adds a special touch but cant be stuffed with all the crap from the cops if I get pulled over and dont want them to have another reason to book with me something. I dont drive stupidly on the roads as I am against it and think there is a time and place for it but has anyone had problems like this and could you give me an idea of whats has happened. Thanks
  3. Go the fg mate they are so nice to drive not saying the phoon isnt but having driven both I would go the fg. Alot of people say that the turbo on the fg xr6t and the g6et are smaller then ba-bf phoon but if your are looking at doing mods to it (which you will im sure) then you can easily put a bigger turbo on it and with the right set up and a good tune you will be leaving any ba-bf for dead.
  4. Gday new to the forum, Im have just ordered an fg f6 they have stopped building them this year so build time will commence mid jan so im hoping to have it around the end of feb its in snow white with the optioned rims and is fully optioned apart from reverse parking sensor. I am having the same engine mods done to it as the two fg's soon to be seen in street fords pushing out 390rwkw for the white one and the grey a little over as it had a turbo modification done to it. I have yet to decide on man of auto everyone is telling me to go the auto but I love my manuals and plan to track work when I can plus I live down the surf coast so im not in the city often and have the great ocean road to test my baby on. Future plans will be a bigger precision turbo later down the track so figures of close to 450rwkw will be in place. I heard people saying on the forums if I am looking at these figures go the manual why is this and could someone with a bit of time please explain the pros and cons in of the manual of auto. Are the auto set ups as good as manual on the track and do they respond well the guys planning to mod it and tune it say with the flash tuning and abit of dyno work they ussualy get them to work very well and are also better for the strip and burnouts. Thanks
