  1. would be nice if they released the xr6t and g6et mk2 around same time always makes you wanna wait just a few more months before ordering knowing in the future you will regret it when its time to sell personally I dont care but when looking at a second hand car you tend to go with the latest model.. Also brembos as an option for the ford models not just fpv I would def pay for that!!

G'day guys, It wont be long till will be hitting the strip and I was wondering what are some pointers from the guys who breath drag racing and have learnt the hard and costly way from mistakes before. So far I have gathered I will no a tail shaft loop which I can fit myself as most stock fg's are running mid 12's and anything lower the 13 needs to be fitted with one. Also what spares do you guys bring or what other items come in handy? Do you guys have a tow service on hand that you usually go with or is there a company you can join that will tow your wheels if something breaks or goes wrong and you need to get your car home. There are millions of things I can think of but not having many mates into it and getting into it myself I don't know much and making mistakes and learning is the only way so I would like some tips on what I should get ready for my days in the drag scene. Thanks guys all information provided through here really helps and as soon as get my wheels I will attend all cruises and put %100 effort into the scene and one day teach the younger generation how it does.. cheers fellas

So the fg has been out for a while now and there really ain't the same amount of options to modify your fg as the ba/bf yet (I know in good time) has anyone done the lsd on there g6et and was there much change? And also anyone talk there dealer into getting the optioned front and rear brembos for the fg that is not fpv I have recently put my order on hold from an f6 and am currently juggling the decision on the sexy and smooth luxury of the g6et (I love sleepers and thinking the personal plates as zzzzzz would rock) and watching the numbers in my account that I will save on not getting the f6 drop a fair bit and getting lsd and a nice set of either 20 or 19inch black rims to go with it or the fg xr6t and removing the rear wing and deleting the badges giving it a sort of g6et look without the added luxury inside but chucking a precision turbo on it and then eating most stock f6 for lunch the options are endless if your pockets are deep enough (lucky for me this project has been in the process since I was 16 and have saved a nice amount and getting the car on finance) but that's why I love the forced 6 fords so much power for just bolt on mods and also the sex appeal of the cosmetics these cars are the best looking car in the world!!!! So guys whats have you guys done so far and post some flicks I'm curious and searching for ideas I want to get mine right the first time and not have to go back so maybe changing the internals and making the car bullet proof will be part of my plan....

    Hope there's a cruize is may get my wheels feb then need some time to make get her the way I like it would be good to see some of your guys wheels on here I really enjoyed test driving the g6et and they look so nice and inside is like a dream but the one wheels spin would get to me I guess a little cash would fix that and no bright custom paint job would suit it they look the best in dark blue or silver with black rims like rap1d's. Hey TAB what work have you done to yours mate and what made you go the g6et over the xr6t and is this your first ford?

    I reckon it would be an awesome idea if there was an event once a year where all the newbies could meet with fellow members in there state for ideas and tips on there wheels and maybe show us new turbo drivers ( and no I'm not going to buy my first car as a turbo 6 I learn't to drive in both my dads ba xr8 and my uncles bf phoon and still get to cruise around in the eight most days) a thing or to plus show there wheels off it would be a great way to meet new people and organize future events if it all went well maybe have a $20 entry fee with all money donated to the site and burnouts and some track action. I know it would probably cost a lot with the burnouts and drag because of strict guidelines and all that but maybe just even a meet at a park in every major city of every state for a bbq and a show of all members rides? p.s THE BLUE OVAL ROCKS THE LION IS JUST AN OVER SIZED PUSSY CAT!!!
  6. My pop worked for ford and a lot of our family have all bought new fords through him 22% of ford and 17% of fpv and also when ford credit was still around 8%p.a on finance over five years which was awesome my dad got his bf phoon with it saved him around 7g I think in the end..

The discount for fpv is a bit lower I think around 17% I get the discount having two grand parents work at ford and us blue oval people are so lucky anyone who goes for the lion and have discount get like a grand off under 30g and 4g of for anything over this is what I've been told but I could be wrong. But I got quoted a really good deal for my fg f6 fully optioned without rear parking camera and air bags but with the big boy bremobs and custom red leather was around 67g on road, but that was after me walking in with a 5g deposit in cash and counting it on the table then changing my mind because he would go cheaper for the brembo's so I walked out and rang back asking to speak to another dealer then on the phone he said come back in mate and we worked that deal. I think its all a big game I'm only 23 so he prob thought he could play me.
  8. Sorry have asked this in a few topics but cant find the right answer. With the ba/bf it seemed the range had so many colors yet the fg lacks and most of the good ones you cant order now. With the release of the mk2 do they bring in new colors or bring back the deleted ones? octane rocks!!! AND BIONIC BLUE WITH BLACK 20'

    Just a question guys I noticed the ba/bf models had some many colors yet the fg range has hardly any and most of the nice ones you cant order anymore. When to mk2 come out do they release new colors I would really like an fg in bionic blue or octane with black twenties would just look so smooth.. Also in my opinion the ba/bf really looked a lot smoother with the rear wing deleted and deleted badges has anyone seen an fg with no rear wing I was to have my f6 built in mid Jan but I can change my order before then and am thinking of an fg xr6t and would like to do a lot of body work so anyone think the removal of the rear wing suits the fg I know there a ot more smooth and rounded shaped then the ba/bf and maybe there squarish body shape suited it...

    Whats going on guys love the forum is so helpful and all my questions are always answered with great knowledge and I seem to learn something new every time I read through old posts.. Have currently put a deposit down for an fg f6 in white with dark argents fully optioned but reverse camera and air bags with custom red leather. Build time is mid jan so should have it late Feb.. Although lately I have been thinking to change my order before its built I really like to modify my cars and change body work but I think changing the body work on any f6 is wrong they are perfect the way the are and for the money I will spend will probably have to keep it stock except for a flash tune. I am lucky to have family members whom work for ford and get 17% of fpv but 25% of fords and that includes discount on options so my fully optioned fg f6 came to 64g on road and that's with the big boy brembos. But what I'm thinking is to change to an fg xr6t they look nice as so smooth but I like to remove rear wings and delete badges and to slam it with big black 20's and with a nice precision turbo or a big garret it will be keeping up with the f6 for alot cheaper the 30 odd grand I would save could be spent on the xr6t making it very nice and my dealer said he would consider chucking the optioned brembos on it for a fee. Thought I would share my thoughts at this moment and love the forum and am glad I choose the blue oval path not the lion the ford/fpv scene is so much better and the people are a lot more mature and there are no stupid p plate hoons with chopped springs, holes in muffler cruising around in ba/bf's so that always makes me smile.. Thanks guys and the info some of you have provided me with which made me see the light in choosing the zf six speed after one test drive I was hooked, I am pretty new to the modified car scene always loved cars but only since landing a great paying job and doing a lot of driving in mates bf's I decided to take this more serious so if I sound a bit stupid sometimes I'm just trying to learn no one was born knowing how a blah blah works so at some stage in life you were told and the best place I find is on here..

    Fg Xr6T Mk2

    Gday Guys, Just wondering does anyone know the release date for the fg mk2? What was different on the ba/bf when the mk2 came along is it worth waiting? I would also like to know with all the nice colors not an option new did the mk2 on previous models bring with it new colors fg range has stuff all range compared to ba/bf? Thanks guys and I had a test drive in a zf six speed in a xr6t, I had chosen manual for my f6 but know have changed before the build starts in jan. And the fg xr6t is awesome to drive beats any phoon I've driven for the money you save from the f6 you could turn into a machine with the change of the turbo even with out, Although I heard there maxing out around 350rwkw I would so go for one but would rather an f6 kinda stock better re sale and still awesome stock..

Get it in feb I went to order a month ago after saving a bit and they told me there not building any to next year so I should have by end of feb believe its killing me was just going to settle with a g6et but when the time comes ill be happy. It's white with the dark argents and am getting cv performance to do some work to so it should be pushin out a little over 400rwkw with the kit but might get tuned down a little. Whats your idea for the plates mates would be interesting im prob going with eztrbo alot of my mates usually say it to me or f6f6f6

Sounds good I am looking into custom sway bars and I am upgrading the clutch and suspension as well so it should all run smoothly, I think its good that it takes some skill to get good at using the launch control system makes driving all the more interesting thanks guys the information on this forum from the users on here is always very helpful there is such a good community behind the ford scene. Gday guys, Just wondering if you were to buy a xr6t and planning on changing to a bigger aftermarket turbo would you be better off to save your cash buying a na xr6 and putting a new turbo on it or are the xr6t engine set up differently to handle the turbo and would the na need alot of work to fit one. Might sound like a stupid question but im not wizz on engines and only one way to learn is to ask.. thanks

Anyone seen vixen in the flesh im stuck on winter white not ussualy a huge fan of white but it just suits the f6 so well it looks amazing but I was thinking it is abit common maybe vixen with black twenties and the front grills changed to black aswell as the racoon eyes and the fpv badge with red writing to sort of give it a red/black theme. so if anyone has seen vixen in the flesh let us know your opinion does it suit the f6?

I found that it was delayed when I test drove the g6et they didnt have an f6 there I could drive apperently it can all be fixed with a good tune but I really love manual only thing in the back of my mind is that if the autos are so sort out when it comes to selling time maybe we might loose out a bit or we could have a gain as there are less manuals around also the clutch upgrade can be pricey thanks for that mate.
