  5. WA g6et, which shop did you take yours to? I foolishly had mine done at pedders and it has creaked in the right rear ever since (which my dealer says is "a body creak"!! even though it wasn't there until after the alignment), so I'm looking for a good shop to take it to. Have considered Wilkinsons or Wheels World, but just wondered where you went. Also, what did you pay for the alterations? (the rear bushes and changes to the front etc) Cheers, Josh
  6. Dropped it off at the dealer this morning, told him about it and he said the only updates they can do is PCM updates and he gave me the number of the WA agent for ZF, but they said they're basically just a sales/part agent and any software updates would have to be done by Ford!! So I just rang the guy I deal with in service at my dealer and he said he'll check if there's any relevant PCM updates, but doesn't seem to know what I'm talking about in regards to getting a ZF specialist to come out and update the software. Any help appreciated as to who to speak to or what to specifically ask for. Cheers, Josh
  7. Cheers for the reply, I've got mine in at the dealer tomorrow for some suspension issue but I'm going to bring this up again as they "couldn't fault it" last time.
  8. So what should we be specifically asking our dealer for to resolve the clunk/thus lurch young 01??? Just mention there's apparently mean't to be a software upgrade for the zf??? Because I've been experiencing this since very early on in my08 FG XR6T's life. Ford won't acknowledge any problem and can never fault it.... Cheers, Josh
  9. I've had two diffs fail (one basically exploded and spewed diff oil all over my new garage floor) and a tailshaft shear in half, all within 65,000kms. Plus diff bushes failing on average every 15-20,000kms. Under-engineered for the torque I think, when will Ford get with the program and realise the need to make some drastic changes to their drivelines. The ZF seems to be the only reliable driveline component *touch wood* Josh
  10. I'm so fkn over the terrible drivetrain clunks and thumps in my FG XR6T. Diff bushes have been replaced 3 times in 75,000kms and there's always some sort of noise and harsh kickback when backing off the throttle when accelerating hard. These cars have to be the most under-engineered I've driven, they can't cope with the torque from the standard setup, it's like Ford designed the outside and said "just chuck that sh*tty rear end from the bf under it and get it out the door". After this I'll never buy another Aus built car, euro is the way to go imo.
  11. Anyone have the documented figures for the FG XR6T?? Arguing with my dealer about excessive tyre wear and my rears have a variance of .75 degrees between the left and right camber!!!
  12. I've been experiencing something similar in my FG XR6T, but its really intermittent, sounds like a knock sometimes and more of a creak other times. Can't figure out what causing it, I had diff bushes replaced about a thousand kms ago, so maybe something come a little loose.
  13. Finally got the wiring looms for each door using the part numbers mentioned in your post, but my mirrors were just scalps and lenses from FTG auto salvage and didnt have any wiring and from what I can see there needs to be a short wire with globe holder etc to go from the door loom to the mirror indicator, you don't have a part # for that by any chance??? Did your mirrors come with this or did you buy seperately? Thanks, Josh
  14. tpinto - You don't have the part number for the loom/wiring by any chance mate?? Cheers, Josh
