Indy is a very busy time and the strip is all closed off so it would not be too good. One idea though is the couple of weeks after Indy, there is usually good discounts at the Hotels and everything is open. Another idea is that all the V8 supercar teams based on the Gold Coast are all home in the couple of weeks after Indy so there would be some opportune photos with the Teams in that area and up in Brissy. e.g. DJR and Stone brothers at Yatala. Mcconville racing etc..... :laughrolling:
What sort of Paint/s does one have to use? Any sealants or stuff? I want to do mine as well after I get some DBA rotors, I want to take off the spacers and paint my calipers either a rich red colour or Black.
Homer: Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Homer in College: (1969 during Neil armstrong moon landing.) Yummy yummy yummy, I've got love in my tummy and I feel like loving you.
If its at low speeds and is a rubbing noise than it could be the handbrake lining/shoes need tightening. Fixed 3 times, paid first time, still givin me greif.
What have you guys started???? Grandpa: At my age, Death is waiting at every corner... aaah! Death! Lisa: That's Maggie. Grandpa: Oh, sorry, as I was saying... AAAH! Death! Lisa: That's Snowball. Grandpa: Oh, sorry, AAAH! Death! Lisa: That's Maggie again.
3rdTurbo, It's suprising that the Liberal website would give themselves a big pat on the back. "It's no accident that unemployment is at near record lows". This is true but a sad truth at that. There is less Full time employment now than there was when Labor was in. There is however markedly higher Casuals in the workforce and because they work more than 10 hrs a week they are classified as employed. Unfortunetly the sad fact is that casuals do not acrue benifets and a large number are grossly underpaid which brings their standards of living down. Many casuals tend to miss out on Sickness and Super benifets. Casual wage rises over the last 6 years has failed to even stay on par with the CPI. In terms of finances, well. We only needs to look at our current account defecit performance over the last 10 years. John Howard has failed to protect Australian companys from being purchased by foreign investors. ( I assume I do not need to draw up a list of companys) John Howards power has only come off the backs of the wealthy and old who are in general are out of touch with society.(not all though, ooh I'm gonna regret saying that one me thinks!). Please do not get me wrong though I have little to no faith in Labor and the greens are gonna be in bed with Mark Latham now as well.(Peter Garret)
Would of loved to but alas I'm working. I am going to the no speed day on sunday though with a couple of mates if anyone is interested. No I'm not racing, just spectating. At the moment.
I learnt my lesson the hard way and was lucky to escape. I had a head on in a Laser. I was on my P's bearly 2 months. I was not declared at fault but my inexperience did not help the situation. This is what I beleive could be a possability, if only an idea. ALL new drivers should be required to get a licence for whatever class of car they wish to drive. Be it 4cyl, 6cyl, 8cyl, Supercharged, modified or Turbo. Another possibility is that they could have licence classes for power to weight ratio(kw/tonne). It would then be illegal to drive outside your class. Learners should not be allowed to drive between 9PM and 7AM. P platers should not be allowed to have passengers between 9PM and 7AM. Learners can only be taught by people with Gold licences. Now on another side of the equation, Insurance companys should be more active in encouraging young and new drivers to play by the rules. Benifits, whether government endorsed/Aided or not, could include reduced premiums* AND greenslips. Drivers who have commited mr meaners or who have had past claims could be offered an incentive scheme to want to become a better driver. A driver for example could receive a cashback on there premiums for going a certain period without any claims or infringments. This could also be tied into a loyalty program to add incentive for the insurance companys. *No claim bonus is already in place but I believe the current system can be modified. These are only my thoughts of what could be.
great to meet you Damo, a pretty nifty setup you go there mate! Thanks, everyone was really welcoming which is great from a newcomers perspective. I have to ask though, did anyone get any close up pic's of the 2nd lollipop man. Seeing him hold up a sign that said SLOW on it seemed so fitting.
A BIG thanks to the organisers for a great day out. I found it a blast even if the weather was a tad frigid. The pics everyone is posting are tops as well. My car is at Ford right now ford several small problems. Had to BS about the inch of mud in the guards and around the back of the car.
