Well it doesn't look the same to me ... one has blue backlighting for the LCD displays and the other is plain. Even without my specs on I can see it why can't you??? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My thoughts exactly. I am stoked either way in the lux pack but I believe when they show a picture showing the bottom lcd screens as Blue and state 'graphic blue backlit instrument cluster' , and they don't supply the goods then that is false advertising. They both look a sh*t heap better than the Commadore S/SS one's. Damo

If that is the case, why does ford advertise a 'Graphic bluelit instrument display' where the entire picture shows BRIGHT blue instruments and screens? I can see what your getting at MS700 but even the dealership is saying there is 2 clusters but FOMOCO is not suppling 1 to them... Cheers anyway. Damo

So you guys are saying that instead of the XR cluster with the dark purple numbers and the 2 white LCD screens(the ones that display K's and gear), you have Bright blue numbers and Blue lcd screens? I included the standard XR cluster pic for comparison. Damo

Here's the story, I have purchased my XR6 with Lux interior pack, In the brochures it states the lux pack comes with a graphic bluelit instrument display.(A picture is also shown in the brochures). I only got the standard instrument cluster that comes in XR's. I have been chasing it up with the dealership and also with Ford Australia(13FORD). It has bee a month now and I have still not got any answers. The dealership tried to tell me at first that the cluster did not exist. It has been frustrating me to no end as there is pictures in the brochures and now even on the ford website for the mark II.(see attached picture, on the left side.) I was wondering if anybody has the Lux interior pack and has the Blue instrument cluster, wether they could take a photo of it and PM me the picture as I want to hit them with as much info as possible. If I don't get an answer off Ford Australia by the end of this week I am going to be writing a complaint to the ACCC. Cheers Damo ford_website.bmp

Well I got some good news, and some bad. Bad news: I guess I been spending too much time on the net, my boss has taken my privileges away and I don't have the net at home. I will be endeavouring to have my privileges given back at the earliest possible convenience. Good new: I wanted to wait until I had it but now that I'm losing the net I guess I can let you all know. I have purchased a new Falcon XR6 N/A and will be picking it up monday 18/10.(it's running 4 weeks late!). Yes, with great sadness, the BOSS EIGHT is going. Due to a few reasons, 2 of which are the insurance I am paying ($4000p/a) and the fact that petrol has risen 20 odd cents. I had made my mind up a couple of months ago to trade down to an XR6 N/A. I will be joining Team Sillouette with the options of: Lux interior pack with ICC and Premium sound, Sunroof, Floormats, Fog light guards, Weathershields, Tints, alarm upgrades and lots of other little goodies. Since Ford Australia is to STUPID to allow white stitching in a Black Leather/Suede interior(?wtf?) I have optioned the Sports seats with Blood Orange stitching. I figured it would be something different and if it don't look any good I'll go and get it restitched at a custom place, in white. Depending on Finances I will be looking at getting GT striping over the top and maybe even a shaker(Macka I'll be keeping you in mind! :wink: ). I am already in discussions with poida97 to get my XBOX installed as well. Anyway, I'll be back as soon as I can B.S. my boss enough! Damo

Somebody wrote on another post that if you engage your handbrake(1 or 2 clicks) whilst doing about 50-60Kph and then release it, it makes the sound disappear. I tried that myself and it works. You just have to keep doing it every few hundred K's or so.

Get your crank angle sensor checked for the starter problem. Mines been replaced once, needs to be replaced again. Damo

I know someone who has ordered a XR6 N/A and got 3.5k off the retail. They got a stack of xtras as well and each one was discounted.

I know they are still having delays with the series(sorry mark) 1 as the Territory is selling well and the current deals Falcon range are selling well. Damo

MATE- We might be able to, as long as you don't try and offload those tyres to me again- esp the back ones - cause I KNOW what those have been through. . There not worn, just well proven. Good tyres are hard to come by these days. Anyway, PM me the cost to set a portable DVD player up and what sort of DVD player I'll need and we'll work something out.
