  4. Wife drove mine for the first time the other day, she usually drives around in a Expensive Daewoo Cruze 1.8 Petrol which has to be one of the most underpowered cars I've had a the misfortune of having to drive. The G6ET isn't a monster unless you want it to be, she had no problem keeping it tamed and I was happy to chuck her the keys when she wanted to take some of her friends for a drive the other day. I agree with the "just go buy one" comments the wife will love it and you'll get to enjoy it when she lets you behind the wheel (I'm lucky my wife doesn't like driving much otherwise I reckon I'd struggle to keep her out of the drivers seat).
  5. Fantastic that's what I wanted to read thanks
  6. Hi All, Just wondering if anyone has noticed the paint flaking off their windscreen wipers and if Ford will cover it as a warranty issue?

    G6Et

AAMI for me $700 with a $700 excess (small flexipremium) 39k agreed 30 y/o rating 1 with my 25 y/o wife as a nominated driver.
  8. Interestingly it's reading way out once again it was 41C here the other day and the car had been at work in the sun all day but the OS temp read 24C. I'm taking holidays in a couple of weeks to move house so might go have a chat with the service advisor at Ford and get a few warranty things sorted, hopefully they've got a proper fix for this now BTW loving the car, had a BMW 5 series driver next to me the other day and he was nearly falling out of his car to look at the G6ET hahaha.
  9. While the G6ET doesn't officially have LSD it sure does a better job of spinning both rears when provoked than my VY Clubby ever did, boy was that LSD hit and miss
  10. I'm another one for the whiskey tumblers, that's what I did for the groomsmen, father of the bride and my father also don't forget to get one for you! My mate did personalized stubby holders for his and forget to get himself one
  11. Whats worse is that it's not actually me that does the work, it's my staff however I end up the one apologizing or copping the "please explain" ahhh good times.

  14. Wow I honestly thought there would be far more donating members, I for one didn't take long to realise the wealth of information provided here, I joined up back in 09 because I was thinking of getting an XR6T however didn't so hadn't really come back but in the last few weeks now that I know I'm set on a G6ET I have no issues dropping a few bucks to keep the forums ticking along
  15. Looks good with the tint, I've always tinted all my cars without fail. Interestingly enough one of the biggest things that I'm looking forward to when I hopefully pick up my car next week sometime is tinted windows, currently I drive a work car and they don't get tint on them, on 40C days it really does make a massive difference to the inside temp of the car.
  16. I walked smack into that one :banghead:
  17. Wow should be an interesting build, hope you're gonna stick some decent brakes on that thing. Are you looking for it to be street driven or is this a track workhorse?
  18. Rear ended and t-boned... remind me not to get in a car with you, looks like you attract idiots!
  19. You'd wanna hope the other half never see's that comment or your wish may come true

  22. Hi All, since I'm new here I thought I'd post up my vehicle history: 1991 EA Falcon (when all my mates had VN's and thought they were cooler than the "sh*tbox ford", until we started putting big sound systems in, my car didn't rattle one bit, you can imagine what a VN was like with 2x12" Subs  ) 2000 VTII Exec - Ended up doing a fair bit of work on it, rims, stereo, colour coding, lowered, exhaust etc etc 2003 VY Clubsport - This ended up being a beast, had it cammed and lots of exhaust work, my mechanic/good mate now owns it, LS1's sound fantastic with the right cam/exhaust combo 2006 300C Hemi - Fantastic cruiser, stuck 22" chrome on it, out of all my cars it got the most comments/people coming up asking about it, still miss it just a shame the interior had some typical Yank "cheapness" about it 2003 VY SS - Thought I could handle going back to a VY but big mistake after owning the clubby and I just couldn't put up with the low rent interior after the 300C And finally the reason I'm here I've put down a Deposit on one of the members here 2008 G6E Turbo's, I've always wanted a turbo after owning 3 different V8's and while the XR6T is nice I decided the interior and more subtle look of the G6E was a better fit for me, all going well I'll get it around mid Jan :D I was tossing up getting a VE Calais V but even some of the LS1 Forum blokes agree the G6ET is a better bit of kit and if you ask me I prefer the FG lines to the VE :hide:
  23. Silly question, I can't seem to find out what else I have to do to donate, all the threads on donating have links that don't seem to work anymore? It's OK sorted it, should have looked along the top menu's first
