Try do the right thing and buy from an Australian seller. Paid the bit extra thinking I would get the item sooner. Part was out of stock, due in early following week. Got told a day after ordering. That was 23/06 Now after emailing (wont answer phone) and being told it would be sent Wednesday last week. I still havnt seen it. Open paypal dispute last night, now seller replies on email asking to close dispute till he can give me tracking on Wednesday or later. Im not closing the dispute as I cannot re-open it later if I dont get the item. If I had bought the item from the US like I was tempted to do it would of been cheaper and delivered in less then a week.

Been playing around with dslr in entry level form for a little while. Really liking the light painting style of photography. I dont use light room or PS although I should. These were taken with nikon d3100 (yep the xt falcon of nikon range) with the kit 18-55 lens, cheap tripod and cheap remote shutter. Hardest car to do is mine ive found But I love how my motorbike comes up Recently upgraded to a nikon d5300 and increased my collection of lenses. Ive looked at some of my older light painting shots and can see how much ive improved but can still see where improvements are needed. Bought a new torch to use so I hope to try get some new shots soon.

Remember the first week I started my current job. Had to work with a guy showing me around etc. Got to talking about cars, said I had a xr6t with a few mods then he said he had a BA XR8 when he worked for Ford as a mechanic and that it had an intake, exhaust and had the cop mode enabled which he reckons made the car go heaps faster.... That ended me ever talking about cars with him again. Cop mode does exsist, but all it does is things like digital speedo on dash and changes how lights come on/off.

Took photos of it and played around with effects on my phone.

Water/methanol Injection
Stazza_Brendan replied to xrt123's topic in Fuel System & Induction Workshop
Theres a guy up in Mackay that Dave taught on porting wastegates. He did mine. went from 32mm with crap shape to about 35mm with nice flow. Could send it down to him to do? or get a second housing? If I didnt need valve springs done id be getting mine tuned much quicker. Too much on this time of year. Also need my motorbike tuned.... -

All my mates use him and he's tuned my car previously. Have seen him do water meth cars for years now and will probably keep doing so until we get E85 on pump here. -

Dave will be tuning it. Just need to get my valve springs done first and the water meth fitted. Went water meth to protect motor and help reduce the heat from the small turbo (gtx3576r on .82 housing) Let me know when you plan to head down here. -

I liked the idea of a larger tank. Doing basic sums gives me 30mins at full boost of water meth. Another guy here has a big tank in the boot of his BF F6. Has driven from Mackay to Brisbane powercruise (900+km), run it at powercruise then drove back home without filling the tank. -
Another Shockworks customer although I bought brakes not coilovers. Very good to chat with on the phone, knows the suspension and braking side of these cars like no one else. Im thinking of changing my Teins to Shockworks down the track.

Got an AEM 30-3001 water meth kit coming. Uses a 5 Gallon tank (almost 20L) so im planning to mount that under the tray. Has adjustments for when the injection comes on and full boost so the spray ramps up. Took advantage of 15% off coupon on ebay so it was only $540 delivered. -
polished my plazmaman plenum and airbox have to its former glory. Looks good being able to see reflections in it again.

There is oil temp pid. I have it on my dashdaq. -
Hoping to throw it on dyno on Tuesday just to check AFR's. Have to buy and fit water meth, Buy and fit valve springs, so theres a bit of $$$ and time there. Also modified my motorbike a bit so that needs a retune as well lol. ANd im going overseas for a week in early August so that's taking my money till then. Maybe get tuned late August / September. The turbo is awesome how quick it spools. Its basically a more advanced FG turbo with a smaller rear.

New front brakes. Shockworks 4 pot 355mm on the front (Brembos dont clear fake SImmons) and GT-Rspec rear calipers with Ferodo pads on DBA rotors. Put new genuine front hubs on as well. Also got the windows tinted 1 shade darker then legal.
-
Ute, doing Ute things Also had the windows retinted due to the small rear windows bubbling badly. Went 1 shade under legal. Had cops pull up beside me today and not pull me over so happy with that.
-
Ute now has a GTX3576R on a ported .82 Rear housing. Also fitted 12psi Turbosmart actuator. Spools so quick. Hasnt been retuned yet. More on that further down. Just updated the brakes. Shockworks 4pot fronts on 355mm rotors. GT R-spec rear calipers, Ferodo pads and DBA rotors on rear. Another project im playing with on the side. Looking at an AEM water meth kit, 5 gallon tank that should fit nicely under the tray. Also have to do valvesprings, Thinking either Atomic or Crow. Then its retune. Only hoping to get 500rwhp (470ish kw). Not high power, but the smaller but stupidly fast spooling turbo will be awesome on the street. Only given it light throttle around till its tuned. Already got 1000cc KPM injectors waiting to go.
-
So you do porting? Might have to send the housing down to you to play with.
-
Just how big can you go? Its already got a 32mm port with 37mm flapper
-
No I had the stock actuator on with the previous setup. For now im running straight from compressor housing to the actuator bypassing the boost controller. 12psi actuator. Pulled the actuator off and lengthened the rod to the right length. Got boost to sit at 15psi using the overboost valve on a softer setting. This will do until I fit the new injectors, valve springs and get a tune.
