  1. You might want to think about ditching the T5 and get a T56 put in, depending on how far u want to go with power levels and what your intentions are with the car. Almost anywhere should be able to beat that price substantially
  2. Usual things apply here: Highest year for price, lowest km's, service history, options u want, dealer or private seller? go in with a set figure and walk away, there's plenty more, oh dont buy the first u see!!!

  4. Hi guys I'm pretty sure this part applies to me: As for the unlocking process, CAPA can unlock the box but retain tunes in the box if you so wish. The box I have has what is apparently a very good custom 12psi map in it (you need to make sure it's for the same car, ie. auto, manual, whatever). I rang the Edit tuner who supplied that custom tune to make sure he was happy for me to keep his tune and, to his credit, he was. So CAPA can apparently unlock the box for me, keep that custom 12psi map in the box, but reflash the other two programs with their latest 8psi and 10psi maps I Bought a second hand flash tuner from ebay: It has a custom tune etc, but will it work on my car?? same model, transmission etc. I rang up one place and they said no, he rang up CAPA and they said yes? so if anyone could shed some light on this it would be greatful.

  6. G'day all, I have searched just about every thread on this website and a few others without getting a definitive answer....is there a limit to which the stock clutch (BF xr6t) can handle? I'm about to plan some mods and its either going to be a mal wood Opt 3 clutch or a custom tune....but will the stock clutch sh*t itself with say 260rwkw?, or again is this a tuning issue, do I run the stock clutch into the ground....bearing in mind it only sees 4000rpm once or twice a week any help would be great thanks jordan
  7. That seems slightly odd..., I would happily swap my BF for a BA typhoon lol. Picked mine up for $20000 6sp, 40k, BA phoons were quite a bit more than that

  9. Just go with a ballistic cat mate, bought one today for $306 delivered, 5" body with 3" ends to suit stock exhaust

  11. Stock clutch???? if so how is that holding up?
  12. Im having this same dilemma, VCM tune cost's $1150, once off, flashbox around $1600, and also the sniper software for around $850. He said he would tune via the X3 flash tuner, suck out the tune and put it on the sniper bullets, extra tune for say 95 ron around $300. Anyone done this?
  13. Pretty sure u need a Z516 for the BF, at least that's what I was sold. K&N part #HP3001 from memory is the Z9 equivalent.

  19. G'day guys, first post so here goes. Looking at a few xr6t (why I'm here) and wanted to know what was involved in installing tow bars onto cars. The two below are from private sellers, does this just involve removing the rear bar insert for the towbar and hooking one up?, any thoughts would be great
