  1. How's the project going?
  2. Don't know if it was an undercover or someone who needs to get out more but he was taking photos of other cars (and mine...) who were overtaking him. Once we stopped at the lights I returned the favour. Not sure if I'm allowed but here we go, details are: White Toyota Yaris Plate: BBK-56Z SYDNEY
  3. The storm has come and the floods are here in oz but where's the build at?
  4. Done & all sorted last night !!! It was really a two minute job..... I still don't understand why Telstra would want to have the lights on non-stop.... Anyways thanks for all the help, I love how within 1 day a problem can be solved on this forum Legends
  5. On second thoughts are they the two or three small yellow clamps rather than the entire thing...
  6. Took a look and can see the brown connector with plenty of wires is it a specific wire that has to be taken out or the entire brown connector Taking it to ford will be a last resort as I have had some bad experiences with them
  7. I want to know about this as well !!!! Have been having my fair share of electrical issues - mainly the indicator stalk/combination switch issue (solved), but now I'm having the exact same problem WayneAdo. I know for a fact that my car is an ex-Telstra car (BF MKII XR6 N/A) but regardless of the setting, the low beams just seem to be staying on. At first I didn't mind it but for the past few days I've had to do a number of rolling starts in order to get the engine going because there isn't enough left in the battery. I'll probably end up replacing the battery one way or another but is there a way to undo this option? What can I do, any ideas???
  8. BF MK II XR6T 06 I'm with AAMI, all others overcharged me, but I've done AAMI's defensive driver course as well, get a deduction, don't have any accidents or tickets so works out to be $1600 for comprehensive. I guess only time will reduce the costs.... when do they start cutting prices, as in "when do I become a safer driver?" - next bracket at 25???
  9. I bought one recently as well, was looking for over 6 months, looked absolutely everywhere, even considered interstate but ended up finding one near me in NSW. I was after a manual which seemed to be mostly located in VIC but they can be found, patience is a virtue! Look at all the websites including: this one, fordforums, carsales, carpoint, carsguide, pickles, tradingpost, the list goes on... If your not too particular about the car you want to get and you can move around in price you can find cars fairly quickly.
  10. Congratz Spiko!!! I'm sure we won't have to wait much longer for the first 9 that's there for the taking
  11. Are you sure you need the parachute But in all seriousness it looks like we won't have to wait for much longer!!! Congratulations to Spiko and 6Boost and everyone else who has been involved
  12. Like everyones said pulling it apart isnt necessary but it was just easier for me to take a look at what was happening. Plus solder and being cramped is not fun
  13. 3:30 today??? Howd it all go??? Was the 60ft better this time round??
  14. That can't be right? Is the decimal point in the wrong place or a wire mix up?
  15. wheres it all at???? manage to get everything together and do a run yet????
  16. I've heard of things like that but that's just plain old freaky
  17. Update on any progress????
  18. Been following this for a while absolutely amazing effort If everything goes well on your next run I'm sure you'll blitz the 10's, if not that at least a set of tyres Good Luck
  19. Thanks for the tip BensXR6T!!! I took apart the whole steering wheel setup tonight and found the problem... one little red wire It had split in the middle of the indicator stalk!!!! A bit of solder and masking tape and DONE Took a while to take the steering apart especially with the airbag (yes I unplugged the battery but its still scary!!!) All in all its done and fixed
  20. Update: Now the dashboard isn't illuminating whatsoever..... I can barely see what speed im driving at night.....
  21. Unusual problem happened a few days ago. I've had my car for just over a year and for the first time yesterday when I indicate left (and only left for some reason) my cars dashboard stops illuminating for a split second and then comes back on The actual speedo and revs keep working its just the back light. I can't think of anything that I've done to hav caused it!!!! I took a look at the fuses, fine, would hav totally gone out if it was the issue Opened up the steering coloumn to see if I can see some significant damage, burnt wires or the like and... nothing that I could see that was obvious to the untrained eye Anyone hav any ideas??? Or will I hav to take it down to ford???
  22. how much are these brand new? do these even come with options?
  23. Just got this from a friend: The 1st 50 red light cameras to be converted to speed cameras are operational as of 18th Dec. Heres a link to the RTA website that provides info on them as well as their locations at the bottom of that page. I have attached the file as well. Closest one to Dayspring is Showground Rd and Victoria Rd. Theres also one at the Baulkham Hills intersection 7hills rd and Windsor rd. You may want to pass the word around. They are identifiable by their new sign: “Safety Camera” Unfortunately, by the time you see the sign it will be too late to slow down. They do not give warning like normal fixed speed cameras. 24. $150??? yeah check out ebay, got mine for $20 and works perfectly, dont even hav to put the volume up too high either (7-9) install it yourself it doesnt take long (30mins and that's if your not sure wat your doing first time round like me) mines a bf xr6 (not phoon) so not sure if its same but all I had to do was plug it in the aux near fuses, run it through the centre console had to pull off plastic bits near gear stick and some of the centre console that's it pretty easy its fun to do either way, just hav a go not sure if this is allowed but check this out from another ford forum on how to take out ICC http://fordforums.com.au/vbportal/modules.php?name=Content&file=viewarticle&id=182
  25. did u get this one online, maybe even overseas? I got ripped off by a similar thing when I was coming back from the holidays a while back thought the camera wasn't working but it just turned out that the card was a rip off just like your suggesting if you can get your money back go for it, otherwise cut your loses and just grab one locally
