  1. Genuine from Ford are about $450!!! I got an aftermarket one for $90 from a ford member on another site - pm if you want to know more. I only replaced my first one (I have a BF) as I will get the second one turned off when I get it tuned. Has made only a very small difference to my economy but I think that's more because the second one is giving all the funny readings due to the high flow cat. Once I get it tuned I would expect my economy will be better Cheers Phil
  2. Excellent to hear mate, im using achilles atm more so due to the cheapness and the fact they are 400 treadwear rated. They are ok in the wet as long as you right foot isnt applied when you go around a corner or roundabout lol
  3. yeah true mate but not every part is perfect and won't fail. Guess he was just unlucky, at least they are doing the work under warranty
  4. I am running the archilles atr sport in 245/35/19 after I went through a set of Z1s in a tad over 20,000km (this was down to the point of bald and actually showing the belt in some parts). The archilles were only $150 each and with a 400 treadwear rating I thought brilliant!! I will get much more use out of them, I am about a mm or 2 from the treadwear indicators and I have done 21,000km so far plus the traction they give is actually pretty decent. I would most likely use these again even though people have said they have weak sidewalls if they pop that's a manufacturer defect and then get a new set under warranty :-) might not ever have to buy new tyres again lol
  5. One thing I will say I find conflicting is the time it takes them to reply to an email, I still havnt heard anything and we are going on 4 days now. When I emailed Intune John replied back to me within 2 hours and this was after 5pm as well on the same day. I guess you can put a spin on both sides of the story - they are too busy to reply and being too busy must mean they are really good etc. Anyways I am in no rush but a relatively quick reply is always appreciated Cheers Phil
  6. so all sorted now mate?? or were they going to take a while to get the diff in?
  7. is anyone else blown away by the size of the turbo!!! holy hell that thing would suck small children up!
  8. Thanks for the feedback mate, I dont mind the money so much especially if it means getting a better tune/service and I have generally found when it comes to car mods you get what you pay for. I am still waiting for them to email me back so I will see what they have to say, I think ill pop down there one weekend as well and watch how they do it all
  9. Thanks mate, I checked out their website, wow their facilities look so good and advanced, I have sent them an email so see what Jim comes back with
  10. Thanks mate, I did just read the thread about what happened to cccc - :-( So many conflicting opinions about the various tuners - its so hard to make a decision
  11. Thanks guys, I am only running a N/A though, any thoughts on Autotech? I hear lots about them, CV I heard dont have very good custom service :-(
  12. hey mate How did you go with the service? I am in the exact same boat as you were? Cheers Phil
  13. Ahhh very interesting mate, good thing I just pmed Pat and asked him about it all :-) Cheers Phil
  14. I removed mine when I fitted an aftermarket GT bonnet, the cabin is a bit noisier now and I can hear the extractors more but as someone said we mostly trying to make our cars louder so go for it. Plus with the stereo up you dont notice it anyways. Hasnt affected the paint or GT bulge stripes and my extractors are unshielded so my engine bay temp is probably quite high and hence so is the bonnet but all ok :-)
