  1. The reason I asked is that you paid $2.5K for a "custom" stainless steel exhaust and you ended up with what looks like an Xforce mild steel dump with off the shelf mufflers? I'm a big fan of custom exhausts, I even paid a little more than you for my old 3.5inch system. However, the whole exhaust was custom made, including Dump and mufflers.. Not off the shelf products that have pieced together. At the end of the day, as long as you are happy with it that's all that matters. However, if you going to post details of your mods on a public forum, expect to get honest opinions and feed back. Ben
  2. Hey Mate, Glad you are happy with your new exhaust. However as mentioned, it does look like they used a mild steel dump? Ben

  4. Hey Mate, I have my Process West FG Stage 2 cooler Kit up for sale if your interested. Cheers Ben
  5. Mine's a Sedan mate. Haven't spoken to Kyle in a couple of weeks so not sure how far he has got with the testing. Last time I spoke to him, everytime he ordered a few turbos in for testing, people kept buying them off him... I'll give him a bell on Monday to see how it's going as I am also interested in seeing how they perform on his manifolds with external gates. From what I have seen so far, this is a great turbo if your looking for 450 - 500rwkw. If your doing your drivetrain and suspension have you looked at the Carbonart stuff that is made over your way? Looks fantastic, thinking of running with their tailshaft and a few goodies as well. Ben
  6. I know RDP have one on their car now, did 630RWHP at 22psi on BP 98 at the recent dyno day... Very impressive little turbo.. Still glad I went with the GTX42 though, Simply awesome!!!!
  7. Funny seeing different car company's going in different directions. I was reading an article recently where the boss of subaru was talking about ditching their AWD platform and going with rear 2WD. Apparantly they were pretty impressed with the dynamics of that car they designed with Toyota. IMO, AWD in our cars would make it grossly over weight... Ben
  8. Well I'm glad I got someones attention... Not a constructive reply as I was hoping, but it will do..(don't think I said better anywhere either, just said they still organised them) Is it just me, or does anyone else think we are all well over due for a big catch up? And not just go Harry's.. Just seems that we use the same excuse about too many pot holes so we can't organise anything.. We all used to chat on a regular basis in this section, now it can go for days before a post is made... Just think a big gathering might spark this section of the forum back up again.. So what do we want to do? * Track Day * Cruise * Dyno Day * BBQ Lets get some idea's going, Ben
  9. What do you mean, there has been lot's of events and cruises.... Oh wait that was the other forum... What's the G.O.?? Don't we have Mod's in QLD that are keen to organise events anymore?? Sorry to be Harsh, but the QLD section on this forum is dying in the ass! Ben

    Fg F6 436Kw

That is pretty much on par, in what mine cost as well.
  11. Hey Mate, I'm from Brisbane.. My Tuner Clinton Hocking put this together for me. Not sure of the exact cost, as I had a bit of other work done at the same time. I went with all Speedflow -10 fittings and braided lines, which did jump the price up a bit.. I will look into the price today for you. Cheers Ben

    Fg F6 436Kw

The coolers themselves are around the $200 - $250 each. Then you have to include all the fittings, lines, sandwich plate, labour etc.. Depending on the fittings a lines you select it can all add up. -10 Speedflow fittings and braided lines aren't cheap. $2500 is pretty excessive though... Ben

    Martini Products

Cheers mate, We are going to give their race fuel a run on the dyno to see how it compares. Just wanted to know if anyone is running or has run with their engine oils? Have also been told they just released trans oil for the ZF. Ben

    Fg F6 436Kw

Hey Mate, I running both Transcooler and Engine Oil cooler on my FG. The coolers themselves aren't too expensive (around $200-$250 each from memory) from PWR. I went with Speedflow fittings with Braided lines throughout, this did jump the price up.. There is no kits avaliable yet for the FG's, so you will need to get custom brackets made up for them. I had both coolers installed within the front bumper. Transcooler on the Drivers side and Oilcooler on the other. I removed the spot lights to increased airflow. This made a massive difference in engine oil temps. Cheers Ben untitled.bmp
  15. Think you are better off looking at installing a true engine cooler and not the heat exchanger... I removed the heat exchanger from my FG F6 and went with a engine cooler from PWR. I noticed a massive drop in engine oil temps. Ben
  16. Hey Guys, Has anyone had much experience with the Products from Martini? http://www.martiniracing.com.au/default.aspx Ben

  20. Hey Mate, Will post some Pics tonight, however I mounted mine hidden away from sight in the FG lower compartment on the dash where the charging point is. (just below the starter button). Ben
  21. Sounds like BS to me mate.. Every tuner has their perference in injectors that they like to use. Usual because they are used to tuning with a particular type of injector and have files from other customers tunes they can use on your car. Less time stuffing around getting the injector scaling right etc.. on an injector they haven't had much experience with... (less dyno time $$$$) Not to say the injector they recommend you to use is wrong, you are always best taking their advice and using an injector they are used to working with. Just think there are a lot better options in the market other than standard drilled (Hi Flow) or Dekka's. Have a look at the ones avaliable from Xspurt or Injector Dynamics. I currently use to Xspurt 1000cc ones, they idle great (better than when the car was standard) as well as giving you much greater flow over the drilled or Dekka's which is good insurance if you choose to chase more power in the future or even if you want to run E85. Ben
