  1. Yeah, mine went too and cost me my bottom end... :( As tekaani said, be careful after you replace it as you will find there will be a heap more boost than standard going through it...
  2. Believe someone has a story to tell.... Quite a big big big day on the dyno............

Veva's graph above is on E85, so it is not a fair comparison.. At the end of the day you have 3 different tunes you can load into your SCT box, so there is nothing wrong with keeping the one you have now and having another tune from a different shop. I do.. I have 2 tuners that I am more than happy to work on my car, they both get along quite well and even share my tune files.. I don't expect the 2 shops in question to do same.. However, if you are not happy with what you have now I would take up XFT's offer of improvement or it's free.. Sounds good to me.. In saying that, MT has a very good rep and would give Rob the opportunity to have another crack.. You said it yourself earlier, that Rob did not recommend the turbo set up you have, this is why you should always listen to what your tuner recommends and not what people say on forums... Many shops spend hours of R&D on different combinations to test what works and what doesn't... This may also include different combinations of components that other shops recommend.. eg: some shops use "X" injectors while others recommend "Y" injectors.. They have obviously spent time testing what works for them and feel comfortable recommending these to their customers. It's not that one is better than the other.. Hope this makes sense.... Ben
  4. In saying that, my car has only been in dyno comps and some street use with this tune. If I was planning on some track days I would be upgrading my intake pump as insurance. Last thing you want to see happen is an empty surge tank during extended full throttle driving.
  5. I have made 620rwkw with the same fuel set up as you on E85 and there was still fuel left in it.. Typhoon-freak's car from memory made 650rwkw with the same fuel setup before it started running lean..
  6. Not quite, you forgot Chad... He is a valued member of the work shop....
  7. Yeah, Rob built my ZF. Sent it over from Brisbane and it was back in a few weeks. Very happy with the way it performs on the street, even drove it around for a couple of days on my E85 tune of 620rwkw and 1200nm and it performed surprisingly well at this level..
  8. That's what I was told after mine went. I replaced mine with a heat treated standard one rather than billet.. A lot cheaper to replace the shaft than the other components of the ZF.
  9. It is funny how as soon as the ZF tune became available, there has been a number of shops advertising billet input shafts... You don't have to be a rocket scientist to put 2 and 2 together..
  10. To be honest, I wouldn't bother with the ZF tune especially if you have to drive that far to fix things up if you didn't like it..
  11. Save your money mate and buy a XR8 air box with K&N.. I was running this set up when running 370rwkw..
  12. I believe Rob from Monster Torque FG ute has run over 500rwkw on the totally standard motor (unopened) with upgraded turbo on E85...
  13. I understand and except the business case of needing the xcal3 if you want the ZF tune, however telling people that they can no longer use their current device for further use is just wrong.
  14. So when is someone going to develop open source tuning for the Fords? Have been told it works quite well for the Jap cars..
  15. Hey Guys, I asked the same question a little while ago about the O/S Truetracs... Apparantly they are difference to the ones Harrop sell.. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/76586-detroit-truetrac-differential-eat913a589/page__p__1136580__hl__truetrac__fromsearch__1#entry1136580 Ben
  16. Might have to add Atomic Head studs after my dyno session today... :(
  17. Number 6 rod Oil pump gears Harmonic balancer Flex plate Input shaft on ZF Tail shaft Diff centre That's all the major things I can think of off the top Head in the last 12 months.. I'd hate to go through invoices and see what else there was...
  18. Carton of Bundy's looks good too... Ute looks great, well done!!!
  19. Should start a new thread with things we have broken in our current cars, I know my list would be pretty big too... When does Jamie think your car will be back up and running again?
  20. Come on, spill it... Would love to hear more about this...
  21. Hate to break it to you, but they do.. See below a comparison between an FG F6 and GS with very similar power (hope Lee from RDP doesn't mind me using the pic..) .. Notice the big difference in Torque... This is why S/T fords will always need a lot more power than the 6T to do the same time down the quarter...
  22. Great result mate! Same Turbo, Manifold and gate set up as mine. Very responsive set up for the turbo size, I couldn't be happier with mine. Ben
