No, it hasn't been down the strip yet but will take it out this winter.. Never has been a goal of mine, it is still my company car and I started modding it just for a bit of fun... Just went a little too far...

Thanks mate. Nah, decided not to port the head, Just had the head fully serviced with new gaskets etc, and installed new valve springs, retainers, anti pump lifters and ARP head studs.

Have installed the Harrop Truetrac which was a big improvement of the standard unit. Currently looking into replacing the driveshafts with Albins billet shafts including the CV joints.

Hey mate, The Eagle Farm shop. Ben
  6. I've put a link below where Sucrogen go through details of their fuel and talk about their "SPECIAL CORROSION INHIBITOR" Perhaps this answers some of the concerns people have? Would be interesting to see if United E85 and Eflex also have something similar added to their fuel.. http://www.hpheaven.com.au/store/parts-accessories/info/1227/sucrogen-e85-premium-racing-fuel-200lt/
  7. There is a cheap set of ‎ 18X8.5 GTC01 ENKEI for sale of the Falcon XR6 Turbo FB page...
  8. At idle you hear a rattling noise... Noise goes away once RPM is up.
  9. No where near as cheap as you lucky guys in VIC/NSW that have E85 United at the pump.... $3.40pl in small quantities. You will pay $3pl for Sucrogen unless buying 200l. Obvisiously you wouldn't run with this everyday, however if you are looking to get the most out of your tune for track or for some weekend fun, this could be a very good option..
  10. Hey Mate, If you are in Melbourne, might be worth dropping into Martini and trying out their new E85. It has a 116 octane rating which is the highest in e85 I have come across. They sell it in 20L drums which is handy. I will be trying it out shortly to see how it compares to Sucrogen..

No worries, if you speak to Kyle from 6BOOST he will be able to give you the full details on my setup. Been running with the combo for a year now and couldn't be happier.

Get Spiro to look for a similar Turbo set up as mine with a twin gate manifold.. Comes on boost quicker than my old GCG highflow set up..

Good stuff mate! Who's building the new motor?
  14. ^^ Just wish they had it in QLD instead of the Caltex crap..
  15. I believe you just have to disconnect your battery to reset
  16. Ha Ha...... been joking about that with Clint for a while...... Well done mate, that is a top result!!!!! However, you did steal alll my dyno time with clint today... lol
  17. That's the same impression I had.. If you are in Brisbane, speak to Clinton from Profile Auto Sports he has built a few motors now including mine. He should be able to tell you the difference between the two..
  18. I will try and find some pictures of the rods and pistons we pulled out of my FG F6. Pistons were Mahle. Can't comment on the FG XR6T internals, as I am only going off what we pulled out of mine.
  19. Yes I can confirm the FG F6 pistons are Mahle.
  20. That's the first time I've ever heard BPS dyno reading low? It's usually the other way round there.. However, if your happy with it that's all that matters...
  21. Yeah me too... Bloody Clint just has to go to Melbourne for 2 weeks to play with Fiats of all things...

    Cams

Not quite, you will need to have your head ported and flowed as well to gain those sort of results. Cams are mainly for top end power increases and you will loose low down response if just just changing cams without head work as well.
