  1. As a qualified nurse I can tell you none of those statements are at all accurate. I know a bunch of nurses who by nature are not at all caring and in fact borderline moronic psychopaths with little empathy so there’s no validity to what you’ve said. I think the thing that’s grinding my gears is the blatant selfishness and bad attitude by people about this whole thing. When Keith asked about you going away being a risk you only addressed yourself and your own potential risk, not the risk you pose on your return for anyone else. That’s the problem with people today. Me, me, me, me, me.me.... but being part of a successful community means sometimes you have to think about “we”, that’s probably why the worlds so Ffhuked.
  2. I legitimately disagree with every single thing you’ve said. I cbf discussing, but I’ll just say, closing our borders (to unnecessary travel) is possible and quite potentially could have lessened the economic hit. Gatherings of 500 or more being banned is a smart move and probably not enough. Symptoms take up to 14 days to become apparent which compounds the risk and makes overseas travel and arrival back into the country legitimately concerning. I control the most populous area in Adelaide with foot traffic alone of 400,000 every week and have had extensive information in regards to the necessary steps we should be taking as a community and while I agree being alarmist and over anxious isn’t a positive, there are steps we aren’t taking and as a society this just proves how we value our own lives and lifestyles over the health and safety of our greater community including the most vulnerable. Its actually a disgusting attitude when you think about the people who’ve been over seas, felt unwell, kept walking around rather than self isolating, because they care more about their own interests than the elderly they’re potentially killing. By playing down the effect in our aged community as not a big deal actually shows the level of empathy and compassion as a whole our community has. It’s revolting. it shows older people don’t matter to us and we don’t care if a few thousand of them get knocked off. in addition, the impact on our health systems is a huge concern, given 1 in 5 will require hospitalisation, while the death toll is majorly impacting the aged, the impact on the health system could be catastrophic. To summarise: - do I think the media has caused an panic when it was unnecessary? Yes - do I think we could take further more dramatic immediate steps to ensure our entire community is safe and lessen the length and severity of an economic down turn? Yes - do I think people who arrive back in the country after holidaying should be placed in immediate 14 day quarantine and all non essential travel should be restricted or stopped? Yes - do I think if we had of done this immediately our economy would be stronger within Australia overall? Yes - do I think this is a greater sh*tshow of how selfish our country is as a whole by implying that a death toll is okay because it’s only the aged who will die? Yes - Do I think people have over reacted instead of being proactive and intelligent? Yes
  3. As a person with an extremely suppressed immune system.... I hope you have a great time and then go into quarantine before they let you back in. I think the complacency of those travelling overseas during this outbreak has been disgusting and the “I’m not at risk so I don’t care” attitude has caused a the extreme jump in cases we’ve seen. not digging at you personally.... but I know myself, if I get the virus I probably won’t die, but it will probably keep me in hospital for weeks or months and possibly cause me to be in recovery for 3-4 months effecting my family and myself dramatically. The complacency by our government and people has been ridiculous and if we shut our borders earlier, we’re a freaking island ffs. IMO you can travel overseas all you want, just be prepared to not come back until such time as we can prove you’re safe.
  4. WMMFG- 3 months into my government job and LOVING IT! I get to dress in a skirt half the time and steel caps and hi vis the other half. I work whatever hours I want, quite literally and get home most days in the afternoon with plenty of time to hang with the fam. I can work from home if I’m sick (or my kids) or not feeling it (which helps so much with my illness). It has all my PM and operations skills utilised to the max and my team is bloody amazing! I feel extremely lucky to have landed the opportunity with loads of room to progress upwards and sideways if I want as well and I get to work on the coolest projects.
  5. That’s just a cover to get away with your homosexual tendencies towards j@... it’s 2020 now man, you don’t have to be ashamed anymore hey!
  6. So very out of the box but I got the pleasure of being able to project manage this over the last few months with the actual build taking just 14 days on site. A 3 story real life dolls house for the public to walk through and enjoy in the business location in the whole of South Australia. Lots of night works and 4.30am starts... now I’m finalising the logistics of pulling it down in just over a weeks time lol (these are time lapse... had to split it into two... worth watching both @k31th if it doesn’t imbed properly can you help please lol)

  10. Architects who don’t know how to do their job, plumbers who don’t know how to do their job, engineers who don’t know how to do their job.... in fact the only people who aren’t pissing me off this morning and making me fix all their cok ups are my sparkies... beginning to think they’re the only trade that requires a brain. Maybe that’s why I married one. edit- crap camo that's shiiit
  11. Oh well that’s easy... my grandfather owned the house from almost new, raised my dad, uncle and Aunty there and then my father bought it off him and raised me there. No real other history.
  12. The new one or the old one? do houses have names?
  13. Old houses have heritage stuff that’s valuable like the original flooring, light fixtures, led light windows and doors etc. they salvage what they can including the red bricks. Reclaimed bricks are worth a pretty penny nowadays since they came into fashion. we’re saving some to build a pathway to the front doors.
  14. Nah none. 1920s original bungalow, no asbestos just old rotting timber, red brick and plaster.
  15. Demolition and building two homes with a full subdivision. Both 2 story, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathroom, 2 living, with large alfresco areas. One for us one for my mum. We are leaving the backyard unfenced so we still have 250m2 of backyard for the kids to play in and possibly for an unground pool.
  16. Stage one demolition happened today. the removal of the old flooring and doors etc. it’s been 18 months of sheer red tape and grief filled hell but 2020 is finally happening. The house turned 100 this year so it only seems fitting for it to be this year it’s being demolished. found some treasures like an old can of salvital and some papers from the 1960s which are super cool!
  17. Picked our flooring today. Genuine engineered hardwood planks, glued down (coz I’m a pedantic cow) and the most amazing soft pile carpet. Pretty happy.
  18. Fruit this time.
  19. Omg 27 degree pool.... be right there!
  20. Will a VH bombadore roof lining fit into my FG?
  21. The clicking noise is generated by the cut in and out of the relay..... but in some new vehicles it may be a generated noise??? I’ve never cared enough to look I guess. That’s a strange one
