Oh and just to confirm and put some context to the data your writing in relation to flu deaths... that’s a modelled death rate not a factual one. it’s not on hard data or confirmed cases or deaths like covid. It’s a modelling estimate by the WHO. also as per this map you can see most of the deaths are in 3rd world countries where they literally have zero access to healthcare and they are mostly malnourished and on poverty anyway. yeah I know... you can’t fix stupid people who get their “facts” from YouTube. if the only rebuttal was about mass graves obviously there is zero comprehension

@bloodycrashboy So far we have seen children and younger people and completely healthy middle aged individuals now start to die in many countries. now keep in mind the numbers are probably understand due to inadequate testing in places like America and the lies we know came from China. as far as positive tests go yes the number is around 2mil, but immunologists estimate it’s closer to 4mil given we have almost no luck in getting actual numbers from places like India, the Middle East and vague numbers from China. Chile is listing their dead as “recovered cases” because they technically aren’t sick anymore... that’s the level of accuracy we have here due to limited testing and facilities. The spread would also be far worse if other countries didn’t put in restrictions as they have now, like Australia. look at New York. Mass Graves... do you see mass graves due to the flu every year? The sheer fact is the virus, with medical intervention, is only slightly more deadly than the flu at this stage yes. But even in flu season peak we don’t see 60,000 people in one capital city needing a ventilator at once! why? Because the flu is nowhere near as contagious or as deadly with no medical intervention, it sucks, but it’s just not. due to the nature of what this virus attacks, the lungs, medical intervention is necessary in 20% of cases and a significant amount of those WILL require a ventilator to survive, no not just the old either. Despite what you may think... death IS avoidable, this isn’t the 1800s and we don’t have to see thousands die a senseless death because we have the knowledge and faculties to avoid that... which is what we’re trying to do by flattening the curve. We understand almost 95% of Australians will at some stage get the virus, but if it’s not at once, most of us will survive. If it’s at once, doctors and nurses get to pick who is going to receive life saving intervention and who doesn’t. It becomes WW3 and that’s senseless and catastrophic for the sake of you being able to dine in and get your avocado on toast in the morning. it’s sad that it would probably take people like you and Trump to have your wife left to die with a bottle of oxygen in a corridor of a packed hospital, when she could have lived, because she was in her 50s not in her 20s and a doctor decided she was not worthy of treatment, to realise just how horrible and avoidable that is. So sorry you can’t go out side and resume your Normal Saturday morning coffee, or you might have to make some sacrifices financially for a while... but what would you prefer? A dead wife or some inconvenience? why is it so hard for people to understand!!?!?!?

Influenza is a human virus. this should explain why the flu is vastly different: Good read from an immunologist at Johns Hopkins University. Not really feeling sick and do not want to be..but if you are feeling confused as to why Coronavirus is a bigger deal than Seasonal flu? Here it is in a nutshell. I hope this helps. Feel free to share this to others who don’t understand... It has to do with RNA sequencing.... I.e. genetics. Seasonal flu is an “all human virus”. The DNA/RNA chains that make up the virus are recognized by the human immune system. This means that your body has some immunity to it before it comes around each year... you get immunity two ways...through exposure to a virus, or by getting a flu shot. Novel viruses, come from animals.... the WHO tracks novel viruses in animals, (sometimes for years watching for mutations). Usually these viruses only transfer from animal to animal (pigs in the case of H1N1) (birds in the case of the Spanish flu). But once, one of these animal viruses mutates, and starts to transfer from animals to humans... then it’s a problem, Why? Because we have no natural or acquired immunity.. the RNA sequencing of the genes inside the virus isn’t human, and the human immune system doesn’t recognize it so, we can’t fight it off. Now.... sometimes, the mutation only allows transfer from animal to human, for years it’s only transmission is from an infected animal to a human before it finally mutates so that it can now transfer human to human... once that happens..we have a new contagion phase. And depending on the fashion of this new mutation, that's what decides how contagious, or how deadly it’s gonna be.. H1N1 was deadly....but it did not mutate in a way that was as deadly as the Spanish flu. It’s RNA was slower to mutate and it attacked its host differently, too. Fast forward. Now, here comes this Coronavirus... it existed in animals only, for nobody knows how long...but one day, at an animal market, in Wuhan China, in December 2019, it mutated and made the jump from animal to people. At first, only animals could give it to a person... But here is the scary part.... in just TWO WEEKS it mutated again and gained the ability to jump from human to human. Scientists call this quick ability, “slippery” This Coronavirus, not being in any form a “human” virus (whereas we would all have some natural or acquired immunity). Took off like a rocket. And this was because, Humans have no known immunity...doctors have no known medicines for it. And it just so happens that this particular mutated animal virus, changed itself in such a way the way that it causes great damage to human lungs.. That’s why Coronavirus is different from seasonal flu, or H1N1 or any other type of influenza.... this one is slippery AF. And it’s a lung eater...And, it’s already mutated AGAIN, so that we now have two strains to deal with, strain s, and strain L....which makes it twice as hard to develop a vaccine. We really have no tools in our shed, with this. History has shown that fast and immediate closings of public places has helped in the past pandemics. Philadelphia and Baltimore were reluctant to close events in 1918 and they were the hardest hit in the US during the Spanish Flu. Factoid: Henry VIII stayed in his room and allowed no one near him, till the Black Plague passed...(honestly...I understand him so much better now). Just like us, he had no tools in his shed, except social isolation... And let me end by saying....right now it’s hitting older folks harder... but this genome is so slippery...if it mutates again (and it will). Who is to say, what it will do next. Be smart folks... acting like you’re unafraid is so not needed right now. #flattenthecurve. Stay home folks... and share this to those that just are not catching on.

Bahahahaha If u wanna get technical the sphynx has hair... it’s just really fine and short which makes them feel like velvet.
-
Nightmare? Pfffttttt you have cats don’t u rab?
-
These two smoosh faces get along.
-
Yeah everyone’s a moron at the moment. In other news I’ve officially lost the plot and become a fully fledged cat lady. sphynx need to be bathed once a week or so... turns out the cat likes showers better... so I now shower with my hairless pussy 🤣

Stuck at home still so decided to get some dinners sorted for a few days... my birthday tomorrow so I’m prepping to not have to cook much since we can’t go out for dinner LAME... so tonight there was Roast Pork with Crackling, Crispy Butter Potatoes, Honey Carrots and Gravy. I also made a favourite of mine which is French Onion Potatoes for those who chose it instead. Then a 10 hour slow cooked pasta sauce made with T-bone and Whole chicken breast. Prepped everything to make a pulled chicken and beef pasta bake for tomorrow night which will have the sauce, bacon, egg and cheese. Then the night after is homemade Texas Burgers. unfortunately the pot lid dropped on my hand while mixing the sauce and I got a nasty second degree burn on the tops of my knuckles and fingers.... which is still killing me 4 hours later, but the vodka is helping LOL J@ has roast pork sammies for work tomorrow at least 😼
-
So their body temperature is naturally 4 degrees higher than an average cat and they can’t moderate that well in cooler weather due to no coat... so yes they require clothes. I spent a bunch of time the other day sewing

He’s the bomb

Get yourself a corona cat... makes you feel less depresso and more snuggly. It’s the only bald pussy you’ll get for a while lol in all seriousness that’s gheeeey

omg stop revealing my secrets hahaha I call it discount Botox LOLOLOLOL in all honesty I’ve never had a cat, and cats are karnttts, but I did some reading on the personality of the sphynx and fell in love with the idea of their playful but loving nature (which was the same as why we got the British bulldog). I have to say he is far more friendly and loving than I even anticipated. I actually, in all honesty, find them absolutely adorable!!! No word of a lie I think they’re super cute and hilarious to watch and be in the presence of. If practicality wasn’t an issue then I would have got a British short haired grey (grumpy cat) as they’re also cute, but they don’t have the personality. I think the fact it’s Hairless was the tipping point of awesome coz u hate having hair on my clothes, I think it’s revolting having pet hair on your black top or jeans and looks dirty and frankly I have zero Farrrks for brushing a cat every day and then they would be able to snuggle in bed or cuddle on the couch. I think it’s just different strokes for different folks but I’m already in love and j@, admit it or not, as already given plenty of scratches (and I know him, he’s just kick the thing if he hated it lol). ozy- when and if he comes home with crazy sh*t, be it car parts or a chameleon I have and always will be cool with it. 🤣 EDIT: as I typed that I am cooking dinner and I walk into the lounge to find the kitten snuggled up sleeping basically on j@s Lao LOLOLOLOL

I would have said our British bulldog and the cat... j@s a stud.... just ask Trent
-
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I think he’s bloody gorgeous
-
He’s probably the most loving adorable thing I’ve ever come across. He slept most of this morning snuggled between my neck and shoulder. Sphynx aren’t like traditional cats, they’re the dog of the cat world in that they just wanna be around people and have cuddles and their nature is more puppy like than cat like.
-
Lolololol I think he’s the cutest! J@ reckons he’s hideous hahaha.
-
Omg that looks so difficult I’ll wait til it comes on Netflix hahaha. so j@ and I went on a road trip today to pick up a new friend .... my choice... j@ not so stoked but he’s gorgeous!!! So loving and snuggly. not sure what to call him yet, but there have been plenty of lol names been thrown around
-
Where’d you watch? I’ve been waiting for it to come out for ages.
-
No fancy serve ups tonight but old fashioned steak and buttery mash.... medium rare porterhouse for me from the local butcher... not so shabby.
-
Don’t even....

Afternoon corona peeps ... had to get a new phone today, old iPhone was doing some very weird things and had a mind of its own. Didn’t wanna be stuck with no phone on lockdown so had to shell for a new one, bloody $2400 for a phone is a bit steep but apple has it dissed coz I already have all their existing gear. Hopefully the camera is as good as it’s meant to be. How’s everyone’s afternoon?
-
A friend said to me the other day.... it won’t be us who breaks the isolation if required it will be the baby boomers or the elderly coz they’re stubborn as chit LOLOL. I think it’s hard for some people to fathom... then there’s the other end of the scale that are doomsday prepping for an apocalypse with shelters made from toilet paper and rice.

Morning Keith.... corona rant time- my moronic mother *whos legitimately an actual horrible human anyway* is living with us because we’re building her a house and she volunteers to get her new start payments. Her job is retail based and she’s dealing with used goods all day and we had a sit down and talk about the risk factors of her being at work at this time *shes got significant pre existing conditions* as well as how significant it would be to me if I got sick. we told her we would financially support her to stay home if necessary to keep us all safe. I’m working partly from home and have an isolated office so my work risk is low at this point and j@ is low risk also. this morning with no prior warning she ups and decides she don’t wanna do that no more and goes to work (leaving me babysitterless as we cancelled child care to negate risk also)... just coz she doesn’t wanna have to stay home. ya can’t help people who won’t help themselves... and apparently you can’t make your own mother care either. In other news I watched my grandfather slowly pass away on Wednesday night. He was 91, had a good life and as sad as I feel there was something very special about being there to say goodbye and tell each other we loved each other. so yeah 2020... still winning 🤣

You are literally far less Intelligent than I thought if you think that’s even close to a viable option. Reasons that wouldn’t work 1. Despite the 20% at risk, a significant amount of non at risk will require hospitalisation and if everyone got it at once our health system couldn’t cope, even without the vulnerable. 2. When people get it they’re off work due to BEING SICK. If everyone has it at once this halts jobs and the economy regardless you pollywaffle 3. A huge percentage of “at risk” people require care. Their carers are people who would be in your group you suggest should just get sick, the people who make their food are in that group, their parents or children are in that group, their doctors and nurses are in that group.... should I go on? You forget... it’s not just old people who you seem to give little of a sh*t about... it’s cancer patients, immunosuppressed, Sick children and so many more. More evidence churchies really don’t practice what they preach and care more about their own agenda when it suits.
