  1. Thanks Keif ❤️❤️❤️ (Warm and fuzzies) my eldest bought my a socket set...I’m thankful I had boys for maybe the first time 😂 hope everyone’s having a good weekend! 💕
  2. Fist day at the new job (Senior Project Manager) done and dusted. Working for government is awesome, I got to move organisation’s and keep all my long service and leave etc. Everyone seems amazing and we even have a team beer fridge 😂 Most excitingly I am finally in a position I was working toward for the last few years and I managed to get there without and engineering degree, based on my knowledge and achievements. Lets hope it continues to go well 😬 How is everyone else? Hey Keif, where’s Arronm been hiding?
  3. That little piggy went... wee wee wee... all the way home.... to Rabs House. 🥓 Well this morning all the boys wanted McDonald’s pancakes but I’m a tight arse so I went and cooked some from scratch with my famous recipe I googled. Turned out okay. Nice and fluffy 🤣🥰 Honourable mention to last night... nibbles platter, footy and beers... farrrrk I love my new house ❤️
  4. Thanks biddie! might steal the keys to the J@ later and rip some fat skids 🤣
  5. Hahah thanks Rab ❤️ And thanks tranny banger j@! Have felt very spoilt today. J@ got my the most amazing gift, a piece of art which I have been eyeing off for ages. I have always wanted to start a collection of amazing art throughout our home which grows as our family grows. This piece just blew me away with its detail, story and colours and I have been wanting it for our entrance for so long! My camera just didn’t do it justice only that photo^^ the colours are astounding in light... The artist is an amazing indigenous artist Jeannie Mills Pwerle: https://www.kateowengallery.com/artists/Jea190/Jeannie-Mills-Pwerle.htm Then the wonderful man took me bowling and to my favourite pub for lunch and on a shopping spree! Then tonight he’s taking me for dinner at Magill Estate... https://www.magillestaterestaurant.com Then he’s taking me away for the weekend to hit some balls on the weekend too! 🏌️‍♀️ I am extremely lucky! ❤️
  6. Thought I’d do an update on the new cooking set up... Cannot say how much I love it!!! Got a Westinghouse cooktop... honestly I went for the most economical but largest one I could find/afford and it is performing amazingly. The elements are far enough apart I’ve never once not had enough room, the largest element is a twin so can be used for small or large, the cast iron pieces can be removed for cleaning of the whole set up... and it’s just working well so far. Much similar to the oven, Westinghouse again and working well, all digital and seems to be very user friendly and works well. Most importantly the Esteele cookware is amazing!!!! Nothing sticks to it! It cooks so evenly it’s ridiculous, made an omelette the other day and there were NO hot spots, completely even cooking across the whole thing. Been cooking lots and forgetting to take photos mostly, but yesterday I made pizza dough from hand and sauce and made home made pizzas for some friends. Everyone was stoked, forgot to take photos of the pizzas coz was drinking too much, but yeah over all pretty stoked at how things are performing kitchen wise. cooked the old stroganoff the other night... Some home made chicken, creamy mash and veg... just some family cooking lately mostly ❤️
  7. I would.... but I’m balls deep in footy and beer 😂
  8. Heaps of pubs here are open 🤷🏼‍♀️
  9. Nice work keifffyyyyy!!!! kicking goals.
  10. Been a while since anyone posted on here but I’m excited to break the silence with some good news... Got offered a fairly awesome job yesterday. I’m now a Senior Project Manager (construction sector in government). It’s a job I’ve been dreaming and working toward for a long time now and stoked to have worked hard enough that an engineering degree wasn’t required due to enough proven experience and results. Pretty excited to say the least and ready to take on the new challenge! 😝🥰
  11. It was all the extras above our current car that got me. I really wanted leather, electric seats, suspension upgrades and a sunroof, plus the kids will love the screen.... but yeah my eyes watered at the on roads after luxury car tax 😩 Luckily our current car was worth 10k more than I thought it would be tbh so it worked out okay.
  12. Remember when 300rwkw was a shatload! 😂😂😂😂 1500awhp is so scary!
  13. That’s way more complicated than I’d ever dare to do! 😂 CBF finding the “cool things you just bought” thread... Just ordered the new family bus.... the first one was so good we decided to get another! 2021 Toyota Prado... but this time we got the Kakadu! 🥰😬 Charcoal grey with matching bull bar. Won’t get it for probably 5-6 months but excited for it to come! https://www.toyota.com.au/-/media/toyota/main-site/vehicle-hubs/prado/files/prado_online-brochure_dec2020.pdf https://www.toyota.com.au/prado/prices?material_code=4277430H0LH40040
  14. Well we’ve just been doing some finishing touches... waiting on curtains and shutters and some furniture but we mounted the TVs on the weekend.... loving the living area and the built In cabinetry is now also. (don’t mind the alfresco which is a junk area) Completed bar... other than the holes in the ceiling which need patching. Bedroom cabinetry looking good also
  15. Been filling this bad boy up with furniture ❤️ Dining table weighs 160kgs 😬😂 The kidos are loving the new place ❤️
  16. Considering it was all together 700m2 of building (8 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 kitchens and a party wall) I thought it was pretty good. J@ thinking it was slow as piss but he’s used to commercial construction. Got cabinetry happening at the moment.
  17. Well this is an interesting one. I decided on the development 3-4 years ago and spent 6 months drawing preliminary plans, went out to builders who would let me project manage (which wasn’t many) and then started the paper work 3 years ago. Unfortunately there was a massive delay in regards to my father passing away and red tape which meant delays and additional costs due to paper work, as well as mentally shelving the project due to being over it lol. Demolition happened in March last year and we had to let the block settle due to there being a previous cellar. Actual construction started in May 2020 and it was technically ready last week. The timeline was quite good for the sheer size and nature of the build (dispute what j@ insists lol) and we had a lot of customisation and I made changes to design during the project which is also something to consider. I think, all things considering, it has gone well for the most part and I am happy with the finished product. There are a lot of hidden gems and some additional cabinetry is going in as we speak so I’m going to do videos on each component. I wouldn’t really change much, maybe a few minor things, but all in all I’m fairly happy 😊 Thanks everyone for following the journey!
  18. Jeeze this thread is hilarious to catch up on.... Keif posting half naked photos Stinky cars Chaffed ball sacks Tuba lessons.... that’s only the last page and a half 😂 J@ and I take turns sleeping in... we have taken to communicating through gifs now 😂
  19. Hahaha I guess it’s dependant on era, styling and taste. these same tiles have featured at least three times on either the block or equivalent shows and a few more in a lavender colour also. It was so funny because we were renovating my Nonno’s bathroom only 12 months ago laughing about his purple toilet, shower and bath! 🤣 (I’ll post pics below) I decided to make such a bold choice because the pattern is very adaptable and easily sprayed white or Grey and then becomes on trend again, but for now, I LOVE the pink and it goes perfectly with my pink bed
  20. Well I went for a theme on all lighting which remains to be seen as a positive or other... All our down lights are cool white (white white) and all feature lights are warm white. I’m no lighting designer but I did this for the “homely” feel at night, but all the globes are LED so easily changed. Given those same lights are above our bedside tables it makes for a warm and dimmable light. The bathroom and ensuite still have white down lights in the space so you don’t have to use the warm wall lights (eg when doing make up etc) I also changed the downstairs powder room light ( I didn’t like the one I originally picked) ... now it’s gold and clear instead of black... before: After: And the boys rooms came out funky too....
  21. Ok so I was heavily questioned about my vision for our ensuite by J@ and today I got my vindication... Finally the custom made cabinets and the lights arrived and it has transformed the space and j@ only hates it 40% instead of 120% so I am taking that as a huge win! 🤣 I will photo in stages: Stage 1: The dreaded pink tile Stage 2: Grouted and looking better. Stage 3: Sinks, Tap wear, basins and lights Stage 4: Custom Cabinets Stage 5: Mounting Stage 6: Completion
