  2. Hi Guys, I recently purchased a HID Lo Beam H4 kit of ebay that came with the ballasts and Phillips 4300k bulbs. Everything installed pretty easy and the Lo Beams switch on fine with Parkers and the Fog lights all working fine. However if I go to switch on the High beams the Lo beams switch off and no lights... Does anyone know the solution to this problem? I've used the chassis to ground the ballasts. Should I change and plug the ground wire into the original plug that plugged into the standard Halogen globes? Or is there something else wrong? Hope this makes sense and thanks in advance. Johann

  5. I had dealer warranty with my BA XR6T, not worth the money in my opinion. You have to service it at the dealer to keep the warranty and the service is not all that good. Also if something big breaks down your still up for $$$, my clutch slave cylinder broke and it was going to cost me $1500 to fix it out of my own pocket (warranty only goes so far)... I haven't read this entire thread but maybe have a bit more of a look around before you put your cash down, there is always a good buy somewhere floating around!

    Flashed?

    Hi Guys, Not sure if I've posted this in the right section. I've got a BA XR6T and I'm about to start looking at putting some mods on it. I was thinking something along the lines of an APS Phase I kit to start off with while I get more cash together. My question is how do I find out if there has been anything done previously to the car by the previous owner? Reason I ask is that I had a look in the airbox to see what filter it had and to my surprise it had a K&N panel filter. So now I'm starting to think it may have already been flashed and possibly other bits and pieces I may not know about. Anyone know anything I can check before I book it in the for Phase I kit?   7. I don't really want to upgrade anything for power, it's fine how it is. I called ford and they quoted me $800+ for a slave cylinder and $380 for the master... I thought buying a locally built car meant cheap spare parts!

  9. I have a 2003 XR6 Turbo with the 6 stack CD. It has eaten 3 CD's now and does not play anything. When I try to play a CD that has already been inserted it just goes back to radio after trying to play for 1 minute. Any ideas? I want my CD's back!!!
  10. Hi Guys, New to the XR6 turbo, previously had a modded S13, so far not really enjoying the XR as I've had nothing but trouble with it. I really want to iron out the problems and give it a chance! Anyway... Car is a 2003 BA XR6 Turbo with the crappy T5. My clutch pedal is sticking to the floor, I knew it could be one the of the cylinders (master or slave), so I took it to the dealership and they have told me both the clutch master and slave need replacing. They quoted $1800 to do the job $1000 of which would be covered by warranty. I told them to forget about it and I'll get it fixed somewhere else. So my question is how much would it cost me to order the parts in myself from say, peps or repco? I'm not 100% sure if it can be ordered so if anyone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. I live out in parramatta way, does anyone have any recommendations for mechanics to get the job done right? Thanks in advance, Johann

  12. My handbrake was going all the way up till you couldn't pull it no more and the car would still roll down a hill haha. Took it back and they adjusted it for free.
  13. Hi All, Just wondering if the brake/accelerator pedals are adjustable as far as evening them up? I had a read in the manual and it only has the instructions if you have the electric adjust option fitted, which I don't. Was wondering if I could adjust them to a more even level? Right now the accelerator is a lot further down then the brake pedal and it's a little uncomfortable and makes for slower shifts between gears? Thanks, Johann
  14. Hi All, New to the forum. Last car I owned was a '89 Nissan Silvia. Had a engine conversion and was an awesome car. In comparison they are two very different cars, so far have only had the XR6T for 4 days and still getting used to the car. I have to say... I do miss the silvia in the acceleration, handling and gearbox department but with a few mods I'm hoping the XR will step up to the plate
