  1. Bud I'm not in the west I'm in se suburbs and have the wheels you want to try. Send me a pm if you can't find anyone closer. They are fg.
  2. mine has been doing this at speeds less than 10 klms on almost full lock, I thought it must be something rubbing. guess im doing something over the long weekend now. actually have noticed a bit of friction on take off also.
  3. missed the six slot comment... I have had modded cars under novated leases, just keep the stock parts and you will be ok. They are interested in the car as it was when purchased. Be careful with them, if you dont intend on lasting the full length of the lease. You basically pay off the interest first then the vehicle's value.
  4. agree with fg, this should be had for 20K http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/ford-falcon-ute-2009-13607167?eapi=2&base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=9&find=turbo%7cCarAll&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282&num=15&silo=Stock&items=%5bMake%3aFORD%2cModel%3aFALCON%20UTE%2cSeries%3aFG%2cBaseEnabledBadge%3aXR6%20UTE%20SUPER%20CAB%20TURBO%5d&sort=~Price
  5. Did you buy the black one off ebay? If it is I asked the bloke before hand and found it was missing the parts. Bogan special in Sydney can get them.
  6. My FG F6 ute has developed a rather loud rattle when I put the boot in irrespective which gear. It sounds like its the link between the shafts. I am going to be tuning soon so would rather get a built shaft now than later. Can anyone suggest builders?
  7. Doesnt the leaf setup in the utes allow you to remove a leaf to lower it?
  8. This is not true at all. In most circumstances the car that causes the damage to the rear is at fault, however not always. In this circumstance Freaky was correct in saying that the driver behind failed to keep a reasonable distance to allow stopping time in case of what occurred. Good luck with the repairs anyway bud and telling your mate.
  9. Hooray I got my ute back today... I checked it quickly as I had to get back to work after they made me wait for 30 minutes over when they said they would be there. It looked ok. Drove it to work and parked it, then noticed that there is a wrinkle in the paint on the front bar under the headlight. FFS they must employ idiots to quality check the vehicles once they have been painted. I havent reported it as yet as I want to check out the repair work in its entirety, especially the undercarriage. So I am going to lose it again for another week it seems.
  10. You're talking about behind the seats I take it? Ebay has them for about 450. I was lucky enough to pick mine up with it, pretty handy
  11. no sure about that, my mates work for RACV and AAMI and dont link across. Are you with JCI as they are part of the aami group. Paulie mrs convinced me it would be less risk! Anyhow, Ceva are repairing all damage caused, front bar, wheels, rear bar and undercarriage. Panel shop have had my ute since cup day so 1.5 weeks and when I spoke with them on Friday they had only just finished the undercarriage so I'm due to get it back next week now. I just want to drive my ute, sick of the Kia Rio....
  12. Mate that looks awesome. Makes me want to wrap mine in white!
  13. it would have been however there were two possible parties, the dealer and the transport company. My insurer, AAMI, wanted me to pay the excess to them for them to eliminate one of the parties. I said I pay my premiums for you guys to work this out and are providing 1 of 2 possible parties who damaged my ute and they still insisted that I need to pay it to them. Then after they are satisfied all damages are caused by the at fault party, they will refund me. It is probably the way it is with all insurers however the people I have spoken with at AAMI have been sh!thouse, rude and extremely unhelpful, so I am in the process of finding another insurer.
  14. Another update... I managed to get them to admit to partial damage, front bar and wheels. Excuse was that they picked it up on the wrong truck not meant for FPV's and it hit the section between the first and second ramps. The wheels apparently scratched when they were trying to get it off there. I am still pressuring them to admit to all damage. Now I have them partially liable my insurance can handle the rest. It was picked up by Sheen Panel Repairs yesterday for them to inspect it today along with the National Claims Manager of Ceva. Whilst it was on the tray I got a good look under it to see the bent fuel lines and cover as well as deep gashes to passenger side skirts in line with the bent fuel line cover. I have just mentioned that to them so lets see what happened. I am due to get it back sometime next week, apparently.
  15. Love the orange on black, dont know about it being matte though.
