  1. I dont beleive they would do such a conversion. Further more looking at their website they are pretty steep. For them to do something like this they would probably charge me close to $2000 or so.
  2. Hi fellas, Just after some help in regards to upgrading my standard XT interior. I have just picked up a complete BA fairmont ghia interior (loom etc). I now need help to install everything into my car (also note the fairmont interior has popped both airbags also which need to be put back in) Other than that I also need to upgrade my ICC unit to the color screen ICC (which has dual climate control) which I also wish to install (I have all the parts for this also) I can do all the little sh*t such as seats, carpet etc I just need help around the dash side of things (dash, airbags, ICC, dual climate control) Can someone recommend anyone in melb who maybe able to help assist me? And can someone tell me all the parts required for the dual climate control? (I beleive I have em all but I just want to double check) thanks in advance
  3. Well thanks for the feedback :S. I guess I will just check other sources for more info By the way its a BA.
  4. I am thinking about going a BA fairmont interior because I can get a complete one for $300 from my mate. They are better than a xr6 one also.. Any thoughts?
  5. Hi fellas, Just after a few ideas around upgrading my standard BA XT interior. I can get full interiors rather cheap. So just wanted to know the difference between a few of them before I make my choice. Has anyone installed a FG interior into a earlier model such as a BA and other there any issues or problems with this? I was thinking of getting a BA fairmont interior (everything from top to bottom) full leather seat etc. Would this be better than a xr6/xr8? I would love a F6 interior or the like but I would need to wait alot longer for it. cheers for the help in advance.
  6. Hi guys, I know this question may have been asked 1000 times however I did try the search function and nothing of relevace came up. I currently have the standard xt icc unit (ugly green one) and in the near future I want to upgrade to the color screen units. However I have seen a few people do this and then upgrade the screen to a bigger one also (7inch etc) I just want to know by doing this do you lose the factory display on the units? Also for now I just to want install the color screen with rca and sub output and watch dvd's and listen to MP3's. Once the above is done I really want to upgrade to the following (can someone please tell me how much I would be looking at price wise? and also a one stop shop where I can get it all done)? I want to add in car gps Upgrade the screen to a (7inch screen) Add a carputer Reverse camera. I really apprecaite any help as I am still new to the ford scene. cheers in advance
  7. hrrmz, well in that case I would probably want to stay away from that then. Purely for the reason as I stated above I CBF spending and modding the car that much. Would you be able to give me a price how much you would charge to tune the car with factory ford gas set up? I am aware I will need to run a second converter they can only supply enough for around 200rwk. Feel free to PM if you do not wish to post on the forum.
  8. Exactly my point. Half the mods on cars these days are illegal. I dont think passing emissions would be my biggest worry. But if I had to get emission testing done I would probably reconsider as its a very costly process. The only place that I know that do it in melbourne is Vipac and they charge around $3500 for the test (if you fail you need to re-do whole test again and pay the $3500 again also) So can the standard factory ford set up be modified for the injected gas set up? and how much cost is involved?
  9. Again for those that didnt read correctly above. I am not asking anyones permission I am more interested if anyone has gone down a similar route. And I dont think the above information is correct about the set up being illegal. As this is a factory ford set up.
  10. Well just to repeat myself I dont want to spead a sh*tload on the conversion as I have 5 other projects. The car is just a daily. And with the mods I have listed above (I beleive they are more than sufficent for a daily drive). My brother has a liquid injection set up and his had nothing but trouble. Further I dont believe the mixer setup is a waste. There are some big cars running straight gas set ups such as gas747 and running 10sec quarter mile. The biggest issue I have with a gas set up is finding a tuner good enough to tune it.
  11. I understand where you are coming from. The thing is I dont wish to spend big dollars on the car as I mentioned above I have 5 other projects that I wish to complete instead. I am just interested to know how the car would run on a direct gas set up with the turbo? and what sort of power levels I can expect? If its too much stuffing around I will just end up keeping it a NA.
  12. In that case what is the maximum power I can make out of a mixer ring set up?
  13. I am more than happy to install a bigger exhaust and wastegate actuator. However I dont want to change over to liquid injection system. Because as I mentioned above I already have a straight gas set up (ford factory fitted). I would prefer to use that instead. I do understand that in order to achieve 300rwk I may need to upgrade the gas converter or run another all together. All I really wanna know is are those figures achievable while on straight gas? is it going to be realiable? (as the car will be a daily) and are there any possible issues with the gas set up? (before anyone tells me to stop being a tight ass and just run it on petrol, I dont wish to do this as the car is just going to be a daily) I have 5 other projects going atm which are sucking up all my cash. cheers
  14. Cummon fellas, there has to be some gas gurus out there.
  15. Hi fellas, I am sorry if I have posted in the wrong section so feel free to move it to the correct one. I currently have a standard BA falcon, however I have just acquired the following (xr6 turbo engine, diff and auto transmission) I am planning on putting it all into my BA and running it on straight gas. Just wondering if anyone has done this and any feedback around this? My goal is to keep the car as a daily as I have numerous other projects. I am aiming to squeeze 300rwk out of the car on straight gas. I will be doing the following mods in order to achieve that power level upgraded FMIC kit flash tune (with custom tune) full 3inch turbo back exhaust with a custom 4 inch dump run around 14psi upgrade the internals on the auto to hold the power (I have been told they wont take more than 260rwk) And upgrade the valve springs Nizpro intake manifold. Would the above mods achieve those power levels? I dont want to push the engine to the limits as the car will be a daily. And can anyone recommend a good workshop in melbourne to tune the car to run on straight gas cheers
