Nah no immobilizer no alarm! some mods and all but nothing recently except for trackday, so it must have cut so sensor or something! Yeh I thought it was limpmode too but I guess not cos sometimes it will kick in to 5th gear and other times it will kick in to 3rd, and from 40km/hr plus in 3rd gear the turbo and everything still hits hard so I assume its something to do with the wiring but again I got no idea!

Hi All! I own a BF mk2 2009 XR6 Turbo auto. Recently I went to track day, and spent all day just doing laps around Wakefield track. About 4 hours later, I noticed my car wasn't hitting as hard as it normally does, I looked down at the dashboard and the D for drive was flashing on and off, I tipped it over to tip tronic and it was stuck and locked in 3rd. I took it immediately off track and it went back to normal with the D not flickering and able to change gears again. But now a days I drive to and from work, not thrashing it at all and about 10-30 minutes (varies a lot) into the drive the car with flash the handbrake, the traction control and the ABS on and then it will lock itself in either 3rd/5th gear depending on the speed at which I'm traveling at the time. Also little things will be effected such as reverse lights and sensors do not work when its locked, the lights on the ICC will dimmer and brighten whenever, my HID lights will flicker on and off to its own dance (left right both) and obvious its not in the right gear so taking off from 5th you can imagine is insanely frustrating. Every time I turn off the car and restart it ALL problems go away, but sure enough after a bit of driving the same thing will kick back in. I assume it's kicking in to LIMP MODE?? but you can assume right I'm still a newbie at all this so any help/advice will help A LOT what should I do??? Is there something I'm missing??? PLEASE HELP CHEERS

Hey guys on the forum just a quick question. I recently bought the pole position trigauges and was wondering if anyone knows anyone who can install them with no fuss in the sydney area. I live around bankstown and want someone who has installed these before. I know its very broad but ive had too many complications with guys installing things on a car they aint use to and taking too long and way too much trouble. Any ideas?? any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

This has prolly been covered before! But I'm after the tri-gauge for my bf xr6, does any 1 know where I can not only get the pod but the 3 gauges all together and then does any one know where I can get them installed???

PUBE - Whats mods have you done to your car? if anyone!

I just got an EX chaser as well and before being on this site I assumed 15Litres/100km was pretty average for a XR6 Turbo, but I now know I shud be looking at around 12-13Litres/100km with little traffic and thrashing! since then Ive installed a liquid injection LPG tank and my fuel usage is about 20Litres/100km! Is it a ex-chaser thing?? How do we go about lowering that fuel usage? I took it easy with my LEAD foot and still the usage for me doesnt vary much in numbers, am I missing something?? will a TUNE sort all this crap out???

The GCTXR6, yeh I know liquid injection, shud be better consumption wise than vapour, so I now know I got problems somewhere! Okies well I said I would and I went the last few days from full to empty 42 Litres not gunning/thrashing it (everything under 3000rpm) normal day traffic, and im still getting 220 km per tank! only the extra 10 kms on a full tank of gas, STILL FALLS WAY SHORT OF WHATS EXPECTED! I barely go long distance but I am expecting to go down to the gong this week and will fill up a full tank of petrol and c how not thrashing it will go, but im sure there is sumthing wrong with my lpg set up! Okies Lets say my petrol consumption on my car is high which inreturn means I burn more gas (Since its using the same ECU as petrol) what do you guys think it could be??? and where would I go to get this fixed?? as u can imagine, the longer I leave this the more it will cost me in the long run, so as I dont kno much about this just wondering what the problem could be?? And I know it could be a long list but any advice would help ALOT! Cheers

when installing I decided not to go for the doughnut as a sparewheel is a must for me! I dnt mind having the smaller tank but the issue is the km im getting r way off! Okies I will fill a fulltank on petrol and lighten the foot and c how it goes, and then fill a full lpg tank and c how that goes! but im sure its got to do more with how the set up was installed, first big real problem ive had with lpg b4 and ive owned a few cars b4 with lpg!

yeh that works out to be about 15 L/100 which is normal aint it?? I normal thrash it alot and im sure that's how much others r getting with their xr6 T.....11 Litres/100 is low im sure! My tank sits behind my seats, but because I have the subwoofer he needed to get a different tank which he said was smaller! again I dnt kno how much every 1 is filling their tank up for but, now afta reading wat every 1 else is getting from their's I need to go find out what the hell is going on! SIGH!!!

Open boxed pod filters give off a sound you prolly would like, but it will suck in ALOT of HOT air from the engine bay as well! plus if a cop checks your car it will be a defect! Ive bought a custom kit on line for an installation of a pod filter with a closed off air box. 1. to cops it will look stock and no mods 2. leaves out more hot ait and will suck in more cold air and that's the main reason! I could show you pictures of mine, but for some reason I cant upload photos!
