  1. F6 if your planning to leave it stock or xr6t if u decide to play with it
  2. The speedo only reads up until 260km/h and it was way over (no idea how fast) Did it on the M1 northbound towards Brisbane, highway run Midnight Club style, Southport to Woodridge in just 15 minutes!!!
  3. If you'd like fellas make a comparison, put on a bf xr6t and a E60/61 BMW 5 series and have a look, everything underneath the BMW is TWICE thicker and stronger (they even have a body brace in between the boot and the wheel arches), sure the BMW 5 series may cost twice as much for purchase, but to make an xr6t with a chassis up to this standard would cost almost the same JDM imports may need to spend more to get more power out of their smaller engines, but make up for a well engineered/built chassis in the first place How come nobody here every mention the importance of having a car with a superior chassis????
  4. Remember to put even more cash aside after you get your "tune" as your chassis will not be able to handle the amount of torque/power your car is now making. First u'll notice your diff mounts coming off, followed by CV's, then more mounts (there's two plates sitting on the front half of the car that is prone to damage/breaking due to potholes) list goes on, no use having all that power and everything underneath your car is detaching itself It wasn't built to handle big power in the first place, make sure you build a stronger car before getting it tuned for more poewr
  5. What do u mean by cutting the front section off the new water pipe? What is the purpose of this so the new unit will fit where the existing one was to be? Please elaborate
  6. OK went to Fraud to pick up the f6 cooler unit (223 bucks) and also found out u had to replace the pipes leading from the radiator/waterpump to the trans cooler (they now come with a 1 unit metal piping, which is supposed to be re-fitted to the BF's on request) The new piping from the radiator/water pump is to replace the old units which were plastic and were prone to leaking so all up about 320-330 on parts alone
  7. Sorry for my ignorance but any suggestions and tips will be appreciated
  8. Oh I get it, it's actually swapping the cooler too and not just the piping. I had originally thought it was the piping that caused the leaking. So do u have to buy the parts separate or do they come in a kit???
  9. Hi folks I consulted few workshops in regards to replacing the current heat exchanger and I've asked for ideas, further suggesting if I should fit the f6/territory unit on my xr6t and it seems all workshops have said to stick with the standard xr6t ones as they don't know if it will be a direct fit Can anybody elaborate on this? The fpv unit seems to a bit thicker and I wonder if this will fit onto normal xr6t's Suggestions will be full appreciated
  10. Mate the flare started when I start using the Penrite fluid, I have since done a full flush with the genuine and had no problems whatsoever, the box now is back to how it was when I first got it I flares the most on 1-2, and bit lesser on 2-3 and again lesser on 3-4 DO NOT USE PENRITE!!!!!
  11. Lets keep a constant update on this for the next 6-12 months, would like to see how this oil perform especially with a modified 6T Time will tell all
  12. Gulf Western sounds like an alternative, time will tell But stay away from Nulon and Penrite, especially Penrite as I've had trans flare issues when I used its SIN ATF
  13. I had been forwarded an email via a workshop proprietor from a Nulon Sales Rep and he said they do not recommend using their Synthetic with the ZF transmission hmmmmmm strange, a Nulon sales rep saying such a thing.....
  14. I believe intercoolers and oils/minerals have a far different manufacturing process, with the latter having more complex procedures involved I'm willing to listen but where's the proof and the specifications of the fluid? Maybe somebody has information
  15. I'm little suprised the label for the hp26/28 is ZF LIFEGUARD 6, either they've updated the product or changed its name Good info thanks Chippa
  16. I'm interested to know how folks have 400rwkw and still manage to retain the ZF transmission
  17. Altho I'm overzealous about using genuine stuff I would like to see how folks respond to this Golf Western or whatever it is, give it a year or two on some of these 100000rwkw 6T's and see if a gearbox rebuild will be required after all this Transmax may be popular amongst peeps with big power figures but if some folks are experiencing problems with them don't u think there's something wrong here? If it works perfectly then nobody should have any complaints
  18. I apologise at the comments I have made about Pitlane in regards to the ill-conceived assumptions, however, these products have not been proven or properly tested, their just been "assumed" that it works perfectly Don't work for FORD or ZF but I just don't get how something that's half price could actually be better off, there is always a catch don't u think??
  19. At this point in time Penrite has totally pulled their SIN ATF off the market completely, ZF's were having problems after problems after using their oil. Nulon Synthetic is another one that's been recommended to stay off of as it is also based on Castrol Dextron III which is TOTALLY UNSUITABLE for ZF applications. There could be oils simular to that of ZF but it will always be a gamble but For folks like I rather just play it safe
  20. Obviously Pit Lane were either not using the correct fluid / incorrect procedure resulting in customer complaints about gearbox problems Hard to find a workshop that's honest and actually do it correctly but good luck with that, have you tried looking for a jaguar dealership instead??
  21. Mate there is no such thing as a "ZF APPROVAL" sheet, actually, there was but ZF has since void such document as legitimate Anything other than ZF is a gamble, especially with Penrite and Transmax
  22. Bullsh1t! Just like Penrite they're saying their oil is the best and it works etc etc and what do u know customer complaints coming back to penrite about damaged gearboxes, this is just another one of them folks, don't believe the hype! Use your logic, how can something that's 1/3 cheaper be better or as good as genuine? think about it
  23. That may be true but would you drive your car around without car insurance? Who's to say that some old fella with bad eyesight isn't going to T-bone you down the road where u're driving? Sure, it will save you money, but WHAT IF something happens? It's the same thing with different products that are available, if something is CHEAP, or is too good to be true, THERE IS ALWAYS A CATCH
  24. Teins all the way
  25. Has anybody tried Jaguar servicing when it comes to gearboxes? Ford doesn't actually do the ZF oil change so they told me to go elsewhere Bimmer said they can recommend me a shop in Darra but they won't do it either So that leaves Jaguar....
