  1. Steppin out at 80km/ph without a being a tuned car is fairly impressive mate the result sounds unreal
  2. I had the same prob with my ex-au ute I got a little carried away with the degreaser and water when cleaning the engine bay and it was doing the same thing on the day someone was interested at looking/buying my car. Worst thing was it stared when driving to the bloke looking at the car, bloody typical. Out of desperation though probably not one of the smartest things to do but I drove around in like 2nd gear with revs at about 4000-4500rpm to try and get er hot. It did work but I was about 30min late
  3. Check out the mods to comparison thread
  4. out of the two go the monza. With the valve springs 11/05 onwards same same in the xr6t model
  5. I had my cntr muffler replaced some time ago now, from an exhaust shop in Windsor I have notice since then occasionally over some speed humps it scrapes (my car isn't lowered) I decided to throw my car up on the hoist today and noticed that there is no exhaust bracket between the turbo to the exhaust bracket right near the diff which explains y it bellys a little in the middle of the car. Is there supposed to be an exhaust bracket in the middle somewhere aswell just seems like alot of weight on 2 points?? Thanx in advance for any replies..
  6. I had intune do my car a couple of months back havent had any problems yet so far so good touch wood. Hopefully im a . One thing I have noticed though is on the hotter days loading up 3rd gear it'll ping = no thrashing on hot days but it could be because im running standard fuel pump
  7. Havnet tried the push pull on the actuator b4 good idea
  8. fair call might stick with 320rwkw seems that could be the limit. It goes gr8 now but cant help but want more. no point running so close to the danger zone unless I got the coin to back it up for a blown motor.
  9. I have been considering doing more mods to see around 350rwkw or wait abit more and go 380rwkw but I have been warned not to push the bottom end as it might go bang. Which brings me to.. After much research between BFmk1 differences to BF mk2 I had come to the conclusion that I'll never find out exactly what I was after.. which is, whats the differences between the 2 models when it comes to the valve springs and the rods. As there is so many different opinions here and there over different forums, etc.. I ended up calling ##### Ford parts and spoke to the bloke and asked him to look at the part numbers between the models from (my)BF MK1 11/05 and onwards to the BF MK2 2008 xr6 turbos. He said from 09/2005 onwards to the fg the valve springs had the same part number. And from 04/2007 the rods changed there part number. Please dont crucify me as I know this is a touchy subject to some and by no means am I saying this is gospel just wanted to share my knowledge from as far as I could go.. Mind you this doesnt help me with the bottom end looks like the buck's gunna stop at 350rwkw unless I win lotto.
  10. tuner tells me with the 60lb dekas and a pump I could of probably seen 350rwkw+ think im gunna have to give it ago wish I bought the 60lb dekas 1st time round. But b4 I jump in to it, is there much difference between say 320rwkw and 350rwkw in pulling power or is spending the xtra $900-$950 not worth it for the 30kw difference.
  11. 100cell 5inch cat should get it easy easy
  12. R well guess I'll just learn to get around it.. After using the trnszmax though the gear changes when the box was cold was/is 10x easier, it's a catch 22. I'll just have to work on my stereo now n get some decent tunes. However it does give peace of mind knowing they normally do it..
  13. since getting the tune and clutch I havent really thrashed around too too much but ive noticed the t56 is getting rather noisy when loaded up in the lower rev range say under 1800rpm in 1st,2nd and 3rd. When I say loaded up as in slowing down for a speed hump then exiting in 2nd at approx 1500rpm with 3 ppl in the car (I am using transzmax). Even in maccas drive through I can here it every time I move forward. Sounds like .. Is this normal at all.
  14. 14psi.. is it fair to think that in cooler conditions that the power could possibly be higher?
  15. Im workin on it..
  16. There nothing like the feeling when your looking at your car on the dyno and the hairs raise on the back of your neck as your car sounds like its shrieking, every run cant help but think she's gunna go pop. It was a hot day averaging about 36 degrees in the dyno room. But the end result was good couldnt be happier considering the mods after buying it added up to about $4600 awesome power considering the money spent. rwkw.pdf
  17. Count me in.. c if I can can the old man to bring his fg too
  18. Sweet as got it mate. I gotta a tune the other day (virgin lol) freaked out when engine light came on after a squirt flasher reckons it's running too rich. In a wAy gave me peace of mind for now will speak to tuner tomorrow though.. Thanx for the reply bud
  19. Does anyone know how to retrieve fault codes from the capa flash 2 ??

  21. Wicked that looks good thanx for the tip with the bov coz I was thinking of doing wat u did b4 aswell. Did you just use the standard pipe from turbo to cooler? Seems this way could be a fairly cheap way of getting it all done.. Pretty much just a cooler and a bit of extra pipe  with the intake to the turbo does the battery gotta go to have a pod set up or is there another way around it?
  22. Has anyone used the n/a pipe from n/a throttle body to get round to the passenger side of the car instead of the type that goes round the front of the motor that comes in the hybrid intercooler package. Obviously I'd need to extend from the n/a's intake piPe down to the exit of the cooler but has anyone tried this and is there cons with the idea.. Any thoughts will be appreciated thanx in advance..
  23. my car is the same
  24. I saw that hybrid intercooler set up one of the other fellas on the forum used it and also made up a custom piece to get rid of the original cross over using a t-piece for the BOV and a under the battery intake to a pod (this is maybe the direction I would go). I may have to bite the bullet and go get the tune tidied up again later when its all feesable. I know I would be paying for the 2nd dyno xtra but spreading it out so the misses doesnt catch on. I told her bout the cntr muf job which allows for the noise. But sh1ts gunna hit the fan when she see's my lovely new intercooler on our "family car".
