  1. Finally picked up the new G6ET-- and yeah I love it to bits-- 6km on the clock and got a bit worried by the smell on the way home-- it had obviously not ever been runing long enough to get warm through. Hope to take it for a decent drive this weekend, and also to get some pics. Does any one else have a problem with the top of the steering wheel blocking the top of the gauges?? I have tried every different type of seating position -- and it is exceptionally comfortable-- however the wheel cuts the top of the gauges off- and this is in both the rev and speed range that I need. I have tried to raise the wheel higher and the seat lower - no good- I have to duck my head to see the top of the instrument panel. I am only 6' tall and what is politely called "big Boned" or Large Framed- I am interested how some other taller blokes get on. Could there be a problem with the seat height-- it does adjust through a reasonable range, the steering column seems to have abiout 1/2 to 2/3 " between the dash panel in its highest position. I also like the back of my legs supported however with the front of the seat up there is very little room between the seat and the wheel for your legs.

    New On Here

G'day all-- well I have returned to the Blue oval after a few years driving Landcuisers (they were needed for work) Am awaiting arrival of the New G6eT in Ego went for a test drive and ordered without hesitation- I am not biased as to what brand I buy - (see Below) as an old fart- Ive been around and owned the odd Ford- Learnt to drive in a Ford prefect-(down on the farm) have owned TE cortina- '80 2lt escort (not an RS2000)- xy-xa-xb-xe utes at ones stage or another -- manual XA fairmont ghia (which wasn't easy to get)- was replaced with a fairlane after a year or two, and a Telstar for the new bride-- But the the best of all was the XB GT-- had 4 v heads edlebrock high rise Bert jones cam etc etc-Koni adjustable shocks - Moffat even took it on a private 3 laps of Bathurst and gave it a thumbs up (that's when I realized I couldn't drive) on a closed track day-- apart from this I had a ford tractor dealership-- and the family has restored Model A model T and a '34 ute and about 20 old pre 40s Fordson tractors-- Brother drives an XR6 wife and Daughter now drive a laser. Just can't understand why I didn't talk to the general!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
