I know on the FG they dont have the Turbo on the side, but I thought some of the Bx series had it there? or is it all aftermarket add? either way I agree, it looks good with it on the side

Hi guys, Im sure this is a topic done to death and apologies for such. I am trying to get hold of some summary performance numbers. Really interested in seeing how the 0-100 performance and quarter number miles line up for fords and holdens, not just the new ones but also progressively. Eg from BA to FG, from VR to VE, stock SS, XR6/T, XR8, GTS etc Given this is not going to be in a consolidated format but hoping someone has some links or data around. Any ideas????

im salary scarificing my leased xr6t, fbt is one thing to consider, but there is also a new ECM which allows you to contribute post tax to reduce your FBT liability. havent been through the numbers to fully understand the impact, eg offseting income tax against FBT and the associated benefit but something else to consider when making a purchase (assuming its salary sacrificed)

havent noticed any difference between auto and performance with gear shifts (on full throttle) - other than being able to control where I change gears. manual mode is the only way to go, sharp and very quick clicking through the gears

Thanks guys, amazing that with all the technology these days they cant even get a decent antenna in it. Lucky the car has ballz and I didnt buy it for its radio quality

Hi guys - can anybody tell me about the differences between the turbo setup of the FG F6 and FG XR6? what types are used? and how these differ from previous models eg BF?

Hey Everyone, Car = FG XR6T with Premium Audio and Tech Pack options Ive noticed issues with the quality of radio reception - often driving around the Syd Metro area (let alone country side) the reception becomes quite bad with loads of static. Im not sure if the issue is inherent to signal strength around the area and possible inteference or is it the car? Has anybody else got this problem? and if its related to the car is there anything I can do to fix it?

Seems inconsistent in different gears, and im really on about first gear. saying that, it kicks hard through the top end in first and could be just im not looking at it quick enough before it snaps second I tried looking for some specs around this but most people report different levels - no big deal question just out of interest cheerz

that's my type of response :D Seemed to be a bit inconsistent and wanted to understand if this was benchmarked at all.

Octane has been working very well for me. Only notice a touch of dirt on the base of the side trims from oil and crap from the road surface, otherwise keeps its and looks clean.

spotted a fellow octane fg xr6t several times round newtown/tempe/arncliffe area, never got the rego plates

is it a compatibility issue with the phone? Ive seen issues with sony/erricson connecting to the FG bluetooth but my Blackberry works perfectly

F6 definately has the looks, but cant go past the FG
